A 10.25 inch 223 shot inside a house will ring your head for days. My 16 inch Lwrc A5 makes people next to me cry at the range. I personally would not want a 223 shorter than 11.3. Just like I would not want a 300 blk with anything shorter than 7 inch with a preferred 9 inch barrel.
I was under the impression that the contract went with the G model lower. I managed to stumble on a fde version at the time of release. It is a machinists dream, fantastically well made and has been boringly reliable with glock mags. The toughest thing to find was that $750 telescopic brace but is a must if your gonna own an apc9k pro. Great video!
B+T offered the Glock lower, but the Army went with the Euro SMG mag one. I'm not entirely sure why? but I am sure there were reasons....probably not good reasons, but reasons nevertheless lol.
I learned to ask about accessories outside the main firearm case when a transfer FFL almost lost the extra magazines that came with my now-SBRed PS-90.
I need to pick one up. I’m surprised H&K didn’t jazz-up an MP5 or try to make a stubby UMP. I guess a contract that small wouldn’t merit that much work. Still, what a prize for B&T’s reputation.
Is it only the k that is seeing military service in the US? Id love to have one of the standard versions because the scorpion evo micro already fills that role for me, so the longer barrel one would be a better fit for my situation. I also prefer military/service guns so I'm just curious
Man it seems like they hit a homerun with this one. Im curious to know how you think the brace feels with the bars. I opted for the scorpion evo with the SB brace instead of the retractable pdw brace because I was concerned about the bars being "AK underfolder" esk. The B&T looks like it has to be more comfortable than that
@@bryy2053 Shooting part is up now. Three of us fired the SCW, and none noticed at all the brace. I think the hydraulic buffer helped keep them from cracking our face boneage.
I agree the three-lug is less than ideal and the MP5 3-Navy barrels are really the right way to do it. I can just imagine the whole suppressor and the 3-lug adapter spinning off in hard use. Thread Locker won't work because of the heat. Hopefully the rails are rounded off, as they are in the prefect "Cheese Grater" position to draw blood. The iron sights are likely going to be removed by the Operators and the gun would be better served by back-up sites integrated to the rail, lighter and out of the way. Why the Army chose to use the AimPoint Nano is beyond me, as a RMR on a riser, that's already issued would have been better, especially in the battery life department. I'm sure this going to be awesome, as its B&T. My real question is "Why" is the Army buying this and for what role. Why not just issue H&K MP7's ??? Thanks for the review, looking forward to Part 2.
I agree with you on the STGW 07 limited edition armee kits. Those were nice. Unfortunately, a bit too much. Would take a year to save up for one of those deployment kits. But SiG was awesome to do those. I would say the only things that your B&T Commemorative edition APC9K kit were missing would be a special Swiss Army Knife with a B&T logo and tools/torx wrenches to adjust the optics/sights and picatinny rails. That would be a "neat" touch lol
To be fair, I had 2 years to save up for the STGW07 kit....and it still hurt....a lot hehe. Still i passed up on those Army serial 751 SAPRs and didn't want to miss out for a second time.
Well if you bought a Glock instead, you would need to replace the plastic sights, buy extra mags, a weapon light, holster and of course ammo. See the MicroTech makes much more sense now, in fact, you should buy another, LOL.
@@misha5670 Well the dirac you have starts around $300 and goes up from there depending on what its made with ie. steel type and accents etc. The combat troodon starts at $500 and up. Some of their knives are priced over $2000 for the Marfione customs line.
In part 2, we put it up against a roller delayed blowback gun. Also the APC9 isn't a traditional/simple blowback. The hydraulic buffer does change things up a goodily bit.
@@bench175 I'll never trash talk my Evo3; great gun for the price point but.....spoiler; the APC9 has a better trigger and more pleasant recoil impulse. For more reguarding shooting, part 2 is coming tomorrow.
@@timewave02012 For some of us, waiting til a very, very lightly used one comes along at a trade offer that ultimately makes a good deal for both parties. He got a gun worth the same (or more) than this one NIB, and I had less in that gun than what some standard APC9s cost these days. So win/win.
The gun is gorgeous and I wish you the best with it, but the video is bad. You sound like you came from a family funeral and with all the money in guns I see you couldn’t buy a decent phone/camera stand??

I use a B&T APC .223 with a 10.25” barrel as my home defence gun. Love that thing. Action is so friggin smooth.

Great video brother I've done pulled the trigger one of my own b&t apc9k pro scw Commemorative can't wait to pick it up from my ffl! 👍
Nice firearm. I picked up the APC10 and love it. Waiting for my LGS to get a tri lug B&T can for it. I really want either the APC300 or the SPR300.
good choice, that might be what I pickup when I get a b&t

It will definitely make the B&T name more widely known in the US.
HK did indeed bring the noise with the UMP9.

Yes, at least as of right now. One of the requirements of the SCW Program was a barrel 5.5" or less.

Different sources report that the US Contract guns have Glock mag lowers. What do you know about it? Thnx
According to B&T, its Swiss magwell lowers.
Is the stock/ arm brace solid or is lose? I know the MP5 retractable stock is definitely solid and tight, but this one doesn’t look like it.
Very nice firearm! Beautiful! Great info much dude

The us contract gun also has a colapsible stock, not a folder!!

Is that uid barcode special to this limited edition gun or just a sticker put in by you to make it look more authentic?
I didn't add anything. Recorded this video starting about an hour after first opening the box in fact.
