I just came across a scam this week. I would like to make $70 per hour, but $70 an hour for basic admin work no interview required seemed like a red flag to me.

That happens to me all the time. I get emails and recruiters calling me and saying I saw your resume and I have a job for you to apply for. I always research and try to find the company. Most of the time there is no website. I get a lot of shipping scammers going into spam.

This is a great video! Just had this happen. It was a company in Australia and they wanted to do the interview over Telegram Messenger. The job was for a Data Entry Clerk that paid $27/HR. (Big Red Flags!) They wanted to send me a check to buy the laptop and printer with the work information to get started. I googled the company and it seems like a legit company, but the lady's information was nowhere to be found, nor was she on LinkedIn. I played along just to hear the lies. Within 5 mins, she offered me the job. Little did she know that I used to work in HR and was fully aware of what she was doing. It was reported, but it's sad that these scammers can post on Indeed and LinkedIn and get away with such things.

Omg theres someone who interviewed me indian accent also he even gave me interview questions because he said it would be great for hiring managers to see it very clear
I get a ton of LinkedIn messages in Chinese.
If they claim the company is confidential it's a scam, you can't look them up or it takes you on another web platform with a job posting but actually doesn't state what company it is. Usually, it says it is a recruiting company, but it's upsetting that LinkedIn can't utilize AI to remove fake profiles and fake job offers.

I received a check and was told to deposit it into my bank. I was never interviewed. I haven’t done anything to get paid. Too good to be true 😢😢😢

That’s such a shame!
It's harder nowadays with alot of recruiting companies because most of them hire people that are "not that" professional and the processes are so fast.

@@ErinBooth I just mean once you enter in the world of finding recruiters to get you a job, it becomes complicated. The positive is that you will get a job right away but the negatives are that the recruiters themselves sound sketchy and then (I think) your availability gets passed down to the whole internet of recruiting companies that compete for your attendees almost every other month or week!

I got an interview and after it they asked me to scan my passport and bns (social security # in Netherlands)....it was the first interview....
Funny thing. There is an ad placed by TH-cam ads, right now just below your video saying “make 100k per month!” 😂

I had one send me to a legit website to preview that I pre-screened, and then researched the man both very real company and person.. but was scam. They knew what they wanted it was all good. Until they were like.. we are going to send you a check for you to purchase supplies we require. That was a huge nope for me.
UGH i hate that! Scams are becoming quite sophisticated, good for you to catching the major red flag! So sorry this one wasn't a real opportunity, but many are out there!
Scammers are stealing the profiles of HR managers though! They're getting bolder!

If they emailed you out of the blue (and without an interview) this is 💯a scam

@@ErinBooth I wish I could reply with a screenshot. They’re basically asking for the credit card number, valid thru(expiry date), CVV , county and zip code. Literally everything detail you when paying online 🤦🏻♀️

I don't share my phone number with people - but if your instinct says it's a scam...it might be!
