I got like 10 of these messages and it seemed really off, Hopped on call and knew 5 mins in it was such a waste of time. Thank you for making this video haha.

Thanks for sharing your insight on these scams, lately I have been approached 5 times by people with the exact same script. It appears off as sincere to be acknowledged by someone however drastically becomes suspicious when they start to pitch their mentorship program. I unfortunately think they are aiming at fresh grads or penultimates to take advantage of the situation with the job market and Covid-19. I'm sure your video will help them shed light for those suspicious of these schemes!

It’s crazy how many of these scams still get going. Before blocking everyone I would get 1-2 mentor msgs a day. I’m surprised because some of these people seem real.

It is insightful! i got a connect invitation today on LinkedIn, and she said it was her mentor who suggested she talk to me, she graduated from my uni too, and is now doing a entrepreneurial workshop. BUT only the invitation comes up, not one "xxx viewed my profile" sort of notification. like you said they didn't try to know me before connecting.
Your scam videos are always so interesting!! The whole thing was subtly dodgy 😂 haha, the whole name question was such a basic question. They should've been a little more prepared if they wanted a successful scam😂

OMG this just happened to me! They try to catch you with oh we are same in this way. Then they start asking like you said is this something you would put high value. “Or I have to see if you are a great fit”

Yeah the past tense to present is a really big flag, it's not that everyone should have a perfect English, but if you're doing a business proposition the least you can do is use some service like Grammarly for small stuff like this.

Haha!! Guess what? It's 2024 and it is still going on. I got 2 people reached out to me exactly in the same script, saying about some business opportunity and mentorship program. And they just wouldn't tell me what the business is and how they would actually operate.
They are still doing this. Almost got me but God gave me great discernment. Be careful out there people ! And this was from LinkedIn!

I had a contract with one of these mentors/scammer I am glad they sunk and lost 1 million grand on the product they built
Lol i think the dude messaging me rn is doing the same shit. Im going to meet wirh him tomorrow and find out. What you described is exactly how he sounds like, the false mystery, etc. I will make a video of my own and expose it too
Once i seen the zoom invitation patterns, i deleted the app.

Isn't working for corporate america a pyramid scheme where CEO will always make the most money?? The fact you searched google to know what MLM and pyramid scheme is like me learning on google how to be a doctor.
The difference is that the CEO doesn’t ask you to buy in before they will pay you. Think about it.
@@Krys579 Everyone is selling themselves to the company when they go to interview. Your own youtube channel you are asking people to subscribe to create more income. You have not yourself experience and you rely on others opinion to make a case. I have personal been through a mentorship program process myself and it's not a scam and everything you said is false. But it's your opinion so we can leave it there.
@@Syedrafi88 Bad comparison. Subscribers ≠ income. TH-cam revenue is largely based on watch-time, interaction, ads, etc. You can have 1 mil subs, but if you aren’t getting any views you won’t earn money.
@@Syedrafi88 Also, working for CEO wouldn’t be categorized as a pyramid scheme lol. A pyramid scheme requires (usually) unassuming investors, who recruit other potential investors to funnel money to the ring leader. There’s no inherit exchange in value really.
