Dude this thing with Onion OS is heaven. Great pick up and go retro gaming.
I have too many of these handhelds and there's just something about the Miyoo+ that just feels so authentic and GarlicOS is tremendously awesome!
I love mine. It’s my favorite handheld now. I don’t even use my Retroid Pocket 2+ anymore. Onion OS makes it!
Looks cool. Man you must have stacks of boxes of these things that these companies send you all the time
Bought mine a month ago on sale and love it.
I love this thing. I actually think it's more comfortable than my Analogue Pocket.
Yes, but not as accurate or has an amazing screen as the Analogue Pocket.
@@Cyko.. This thing is tons cheaper has save states, and that quick resume feature and access to more emulators. It is also a lot more portable. Analogue is only really for people that want to collect and play original carts in my opinion. The screen is actually good on this, obviously not as good as the Analogue Pocket though. Sounds is also poor on this.
@@teamdoa Yes, I am well aware of how much this costs and what it can do for save states. Analogue has save states too, on original cartridges. The Analogue Pocket is a more premium device of high quality. The RG35XX is nice if you can't afford the finer things in life. Side by side, the Analogue destroys the RG35XX in accuracy, performance, and value.
I think because this is "cheap" you are more likely to use it as a pocketable device on the go. Like you say, the Analogue is a premium device, something I personally do not even want to take out the house. I guess buying both might be a good idea if you have the money.
@@teamdoa that's exactly why I bought this. I don't really want to take my Pocket out at all really but I just kind of throw the miyoo around and put it in backpacks etc. I think all these handhelds are great if you can play whatever games you like and enjoy it. I prefer FPGA all day but honestly, emulation has got so good these days that a lot of the older systems seem pretty much identical to me.
Got my Duo a few days ago, exciting!
Emulation is the way to go.
I really like mine! Good video!
Captain Ron, As of last week; I've been a 2 year member
Thank you for all the hours of content
I purchased one its not bad . Bought it for when i travel abroad its nice and easy to pack in your suitcase or carry on
Pretty sure they’ve installed the ZOOM Platform Duke Nukem 3D, you should do a review on that and/or ZOOM’s upgraded Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project.
What's so special about ZOOM? Looks like normal Duke you get everywhere.
@@2012JvN They've been delisted everywhere else and their Manhattan Project is HD 16:9, now, etc
I don't mind a small device like this not being powerful....I mind it's a small device.
The Miyoo Mini+ in your video on my computer screen is legitimately bigger than the OG Miyoo Mini.
I love my Miyoo Mini. 😘
The best part is being able to add and play Tecmo Super Bowl w/ current rosters. Everything else is an awesome bonus.
I plan to install a 1TB micro sd in my Miyoo Mini Plus. First, I'll load my roms library. Afterwards, I'll finish loading the sd card with video files of complete TV shows and movies, making use of the FFPlayer.
1tb is a lot, I had a 512gb and it was way too much for me. Its hard to navigate through 1000 roms in a single folder. So i made duplicates of folders and renamed them for japanese games. Phyrex Techs made a video about it. For example, Superfamicom/snes, famicom/nes, ps1/ps1japan. So the main folder has less games to scroll through. I got tired of holding R1/R2 for page up/down when theres 800+ games. I even changed the Search to "Find Game" lol.
Where do you get movies and what format are they? I want to use the miyoos video player app.
Yet to buy one but damn this is tempting.
You should consider the downsides first, before you get one.
Low battery life, PWM shimming noise (high pitch buzzing sound the screen makes when not on 100% brightness - so you have to choose if you want to hear the noise or waste battery), low quality speaker, possible issues with screen attachment to the case (it holds on adhesive but you can feel how screen moves by pressing on screen sides lightly). I only found out about these when I got device and that was a deal-breaker for me.
@@sarmatiko thanks for the heads up. I have a modded ps vita that has served me well anyway.
I really like my MM+, but I think my new RG35XX Plus is going to replace it after a stable CFW comes out.
Yes
No episode on the Analogue Duo??
Prefere the Abernic RG35XX with Garlic OS for 50$. you have HDMI TV out build in and better handgrip for adult hand.
I play mame games on this too. Great device.
Me too, remap the R1 for high kick, R2 for high punch for fighting games. Can press all 3 punch or all 3 kick buttons for special moves.
Thanks for the video! Any chance of some Analogue Duo videos? I have several of them just waiting for some action lol😂
I paid $30 for this on temu with a coupon. It’s a cool device and the screen is beautiful.
I got a Analouge pocket last week and it is also pretty impressive. Expensive but I can’t go without it after getting it .
I love my Pocket, with that crazy high quality screen, 2 FPGAs and so many cores, I think it's very reasonably priced for what you get
Considering it can run ms dos duke3d, I wonder if the old epic games like jazz jackrabbit and one must fall 2097 are playable.
Hey there is Heretic in this system by any chance if there isnt how can i put it on ? Thank you!!!
I love my one all mega cd games and more so much more
Select and midel butten full screen
I have one myself and I like it for what it is. Spend a little more and get something more powerful.
Do any of these have Odyssey?
That speaker placement makes this an automatic NO for me
Is the screen aspect ratio correct?
With onion os, press menu+start to change.
They pump out like a thousand of these a year. Market saturation with all these handhelds is pretty high. Wonder 🤔 how they keep making these with all the illegal roms on them??
China does not care 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve definitely heard reports that China don’t care/China don’t mind
who cares dude. oh no! illegal roms are on there uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu scary please think of the children
China don’t care
The ROMs are on the additional SD card, not the device. It's the sellers who take that risk.
I wonder why Matt does with all these Chinese bootleg portables he reviews. Does he keep’em and if so where does he find the space for all that
Who is Matt?
@@bobbyrivera2951 Mad I meant, the guy in the videos with a lisp
What's the best handheld emulator for about $130?
RG405M
Feels like China releases a new handheld every day now 😂
True. And sometimes they release something "better" while previous order with "older" model is still in delivery from China 😭
After trying some models I will buy another one only when they start shipping those handhelds with 5000mAh battery and cpu no weaker than T600 series for 50-60$. In a few years budget hardware should be on that level.
$39.99 for onion OS installtion ?
at that price i can buy a better SD card and install it
I got rid of mine MM+ after about two weeks - battery on these is pretty weak (holds about 5 hours and there's only _estimate data_ on charge indicator), PWM shimming noise is strongly noticeable and speaker is shitty. Onion OS is the only redeeming quality, but even then can't fix all issues, because it's created on top of existing OS, and that is closed source. These minis should cost no more than 30$ for the features and build quality (lack of) they have.
I find it odd how bad emulation handhelds get off scot free while somewhat decent famiclones get the power tool treatment. Just goes to show what you “know” about game reviewing.
Nope
This looks like a copy of the RG35XX.
