If the switch pokemon games can run at 1440p 60fps on the switch 2, it'll be huge for that franchise.
Physical Backwards Compatibility and Digital is a must for Switch 2!

Don't worry. I'm sure we are getting a new mario kart for the next Switch given how well Mario Kart 8 sold. Nintendo loves money too much not to plus keep in mind they've had plenty of time to work on the next time. So relax and don't panic
That is awesome but i'm more interested in performance boosting than visuals. I don't need Paper Mario at 4k, when it already looks gorgeous. Would be more interested in games like it and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom running at 60 fps.
Like with Xbox's 'FPS Boost' feature.
Also i plan to go back to Starfield after i finish Paper Mario. Though i wish the Series S also got an 60 fps option. But the other quality of life improvements are worth replaying the game for.
If Kingdom Hearts 4 drops in 2026, I wonder if it will drop at the end of the year around the rumored new Xbox console drop. 🤔

As someone who completely skipped the Switch due to hardware, looks like I got lucky with waiting.
I interesting take. Like I also skipped the switch but I don't feel this way. Of course hardware is going to improve a ton if you wait like 8 years. I wouldn't call that luck. Glad you feel like you made the right decision though :)
I had a switch for like 6 months and really never played it hardware is just to outdated and looked terrible on a 4k tv.
Just take that approach a few more generations of systems and you'll be a 90 year old saying "I'm waiting for 256K resolution!" lol

Rip those old days when GB had nearly 3000 titles and ps2 had 2000 ! I don't see any future fir consoles unless they do something like xbox game pass where u can download titles fir cheap monthly subscription or sth similar
I hope Nintendo doesn’t do with the switch and remake games from switch to switch 2. Because I will not pay full price for games I have already now if it a $5 to $10 patch ok.
To a point I don’t care about a 4K Zelda BOTW because I beat it and don’t care about it because of TOTK which is better and I’m enjoying it. 😂😅

Only thing I dislike about Nintendo games is you rarely get any bargains or reasonably priced used games, they will charge for the upgrades.
I never pay more than 40 bucks for a Nintendo game. I refuse. I always wait for a sale or a deal of some sort.

I agree on that this why I wish they brought back Nintendo Selects I got OOT 3DS on sale because of it. But Nintendo games are still of quality as well.

Nintendo games definitely do go on sale. I have never spent more than $40.00 on a Nintendo game before. Except for one: Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3. I got that for about $55.00. But that's only because it came with the expansion as well.
I'm sure we'll get Mario Kart 10 soon. Nintendo loves money too much not to make another one and they had plenty of time in the kitchen to make it so it should be about ready to come out of the oven...Later

I'm pretty sure Nintendo will charge for upgrades of individual games. They are pretty shady with the pricing of their games. Very anti-consumer in my view.
It's why I never buy a Nintendo game for more than 40 bucks. It is $40.00 or lower for me. I absolutely refuse to pay more than that. So, I always wait for a sale. Because that's the price point most of them are worth to me. 🤷🏾♂️
So if they do charge for upgrades, which I do think is likely, I'll wait a bit to see if that price point goes on a sale as well. 😏
Yes and no
The vast majority of games on switch already run with dynamic settings… Meaning a more powerful console will automatically run games at a better and frame rate
But upgrading games from 1080 to 4K is a different story

Nintendo doesn't make a lot of games that suit my taste, so I will never have a large library of Nintendo games. But the few I do have? I got them all for cheap!
Hell, it's not a long list, so I will share my entire library with you:
*• Astral Chain:* $37.51
*• Marvel's Ultimate Alliance* WITH the Black Order Expansion: $55.98
*• Xenonlade Chronicles:* $35.86
For some reason, Nintendo's activity log only goes back two years. I can't give you the exact prices I paid for the other 5 or 6 games that I have, but I guarantee you that none of them were for more than 40 bucks. Not unless it came with an expansion. 😁
Looks like when I make the jump from Xbox to the new Switch whenever it launches I’ll have a lot of stuff to play.
I don't understand why people with these cheap consoles want 4k 60fps all the time. If you want that play on PC...... You can't expect a large game to be 60fps on a sub $500 console. Just not possible. You get what you pay for.
Meh it will still be massively underpowered and be easily emulated from launch but cheapskate Nintendo is more interested in making money from old school reputation
