Waw peter! I'm so with you on this assessment - I don't necessarily share a lot in horizontal and not a fan of the heaviness of mounting the 360 on the helmet. The 2.0 lens has finally resolved all my issues with gopro and i'm so happy without my stories are posted now. skiing mostly now, and you can see my skis, the trees, and the sky with horizon lock which is so cool too! enjoy enjoy
Looks amazing!! Because you can't use a nd filter with the mlm 2.0, what shutter speed / iso / ev comp do you use, and do you always add motion blur in post with this setup? Motion blur in post always seems to give artifacts between moving and stationary objects like around the handlebars. I'm also curious if shooting a higher fps, and exporting using frame blending instead of frame sampling will give enough of a motion blur effect. (I use premiere so idk what that would be in resolve). An issue I see a lot is real motion blur from slow shutter speed tends to blur a lot of the camera shake. But if your raw footage is shot in a high fps, then the blur in post would have more frames to interpret what needs to be blurred and what's actually moving (I use rsmb for motion blur). Maybe you could do a video where you experiment more with these things, love your content!!
Damn you know your stuff! You gotta really dig to know about RSMB. I run auto shutter, iso min 100, iso max 800, no ev comp. For vertical clips, I always add motion blur, however, I rarely do for 16:9. More content on this topic may come in the future!
@@PeterJamison I guess mostly how fast and easy DJI is to work with compared to gopro. As for image quality they are equal for me! But just interfaces, how responsive the screen is, no lagg ever, a better app that connects way better, no need for a media mod, switching ND's is just screwing it on instead of the stupid twisting of the lens! These are just small things but for me they make life in fast and hectic situations way easier. But as I said they are both really good performing cams!
I just got the max lens and when I installed it I can’t shoot in superview without seeing the inside of the lens on the video. Is this a problem with how I installed it or something I can do with the settings?
Hey Liam, You have to hop into the settings and find the section where you 'enable the max lens mod'. Once you do that, the camera will adjust and you won't see the inside of the lens. Hope this helps!
You cannot record two seperate files (horiztonal and vert) at the same time, however I find the horizontal footage to be wide enough to also be able to crop to vertical afterwards 💯 Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately, the gopro monopolists in the market. For some reason, no one can do what they did, but with all the disadvantages, this is the best action camera that exists now.
What is your favorite POV camera?

Hi Peter, can you show us how you do the motion blur on your clips?
Perhaps in a future video! Thanks for watching!
Gopro lost me after getting the dji action 4… I only still have a session 5 just for the form factor
What do you prefer about the dji camera?

Are there any ND filers available for the Max Lens?
Negative ✌🏼
Where do you mount a GoPro?
This video has some more information on that: th-cam.com/video/QHKMYLT7w84/w-d-xo.html

Would be the dream!
Nice!

What are the biggest disadvantages of the Hero 12 to you? Thanks for watching!
