5 things to quit right now:
    1. Overthinking
    2. Trying to make everyone happy
    3. Living in the past
    4. Worrying what others think
    5. Doubting yourself

@@asamii8602 why don't you take a long walk off a short pier? We have statistical evidence that the constitution of family and successful marriages declined severely since modern feminism came into existence. In the name of women empowerment, you'd find plethora of single women out there all tatted and living with 9 cats. Men are the pillars of human society and that's why we fared so far. Never in the history of mankind was there a period of prosperity when the gender roles were reversed. Even Bible says that a woman should submit to a man and be a nurturer. But these days it's all opposite and women are disgruntled anyways lol.

I'm just turned 47, divorced 6 months ago, was asked for a divorce a year ago.
I was completely heartbroken. But I kissed my stepdaughter and my cat (RIP), told my ex wife that I truly loved her. Hopped my black azz in a one way Uhaul.
Cried 4 hours of the drive.
Not knowing what I was going to do. I miss her cooking. But when I tell you, I love the person that im becoming! It's a tough road, im nowhere near where I want to be. But I'm more confident in my ability to accomplish a position in life now. Than I ever was married. Loneliness is cold, but necessary in order to develop and relearn your true self. Love.🤲🏾💯✌🏾

I’ve been working on improving myself & going higher in life since 2016 & sadly I haven’t really met anyone who has the same mindset, or at least never had a conversation with. I feel much of that has to do with physical appearance which I can admit I dress like a hood off the street or whatever because I don’t want to purchase expensive clothes. My oldest son is now a military lifer and my daughter is now 19 and manages a store and off on her own finally. Heres the problem... my entire purpose was raising my kids and supporting my family, but now its just me and the wife and I feel like I've lost my purpose. I have no kids to raise now and I feel lost in life a lot now. My wife tries with me but its difficult. I get why people hold on to their kids so hard, but fortunately I didnt make that mistake. The best you can do is try to acept you can't make things perfect already, but you still can make the second best thing, which would be to develop your femininity and to find and attract a masculine, quality man, a responsible one, with traditional values, a good provider who can help you raise him and will be a good example of a man's presence and will sustitute to some point the missing father figure. He'll never be the father, but he can still be an amazing, great example in your child's life. The other option would be to work all the time just to keep ends meet and besides missing father, deprive your son from a mother too, which is definitely not a good path to go. At least this is what I did and although he is not her father and will never love her as a real one, he is still the best example, provider and example as a person, father and husband she could ever have in her life.

But it didn't work out the way I wanted it to, I'm 22 and I'm stuck. I'm graduating with a degree I don't truly enjoy anymore, cybersecurity. I play games everyday as it's still a love of mine. But it's the epitome of my day, reaching that next rank IS my high. Getting better in the game IS my fun. Meanwhile as a SENIOR in COLLEGE, I work at a convenience store with minimum wage. I have no internships or motivation to continue my degree. My passion of becoming an esports player has faded due to practicality. My purpose without my game has become lost. I have only one true friend. I don't go outside and experience/see other high performers and the reason im here is because of a recent heartbreak. You literally hit the nail on the head with every point you uttered and I just don't know what to say. I didn't know how bad I needed this. The problem reach general modern society. However it's nice to make a special call to men. It's so important rn.
I was in a relationship with a man from this culture (I'm not American) and it developed terrible. Even ruined our friendship mostly because of these. And part of my fault too. I was in a super vulnerable part in my life than make me push hard to grow but he left me alone in that state. I was there for him when he was vulnerable without friends, and I'm sure he had a hard time with no much real friendship. I wanted to support him, but, instead I just hurt myself expecting for him to show up a little bit. He didnt. Instead, getting away and getting lost in videogames was his desition. I hope he can level up someday. His current path is so lonely. And society needs men participation to improve our future.
It's cool to have a source of distraction like videogames but it must not be a pillar in your life to disconnect, disassociate, and avoid your conflicts.

    I am in wholehearted agreement.
For many years, I was without purpose (undergraduate, graduate school, giving up on being a fighter pilot after 9/11, gave up on serving in the military after the Bush administration) but I finally found one. I’m in my second year of law school and interning with a judge.
I was betrayed multiple times (accused of sexual harassment by a fellow student, lying to superiors, was almost fired for my ability to do mental math) just in the professional realm alone. I even dealt with a devouring mother until she passed away from brain cancer, never seeing me succeed in her eyes. Additionally, I had to kiss many frogs before I found my “princess” who I made my queen and I have 3 great boys to love, laugh and grow with.
All this I did with almost no support. I have been struggling to find a mentor and deal with my accumulated trauma, but it is one of my life goals.

You are really speaking the truth. How do you know how to conduct yourself with no example?
When you mentioned about men being hurt and self-isolating, harboring anger......
On guidance older men used to teach the younger men things like.....
"There are women you marry and women you play with, know the difference."
This is different than the pandering and tolerance of disrespect. I've witnessed men choose women so they can feel "important." Women that don't match their achievement level, not even in the realm of what he has accomplished, classless, rude, unruly and undisciplined in conduct. These same women make scenes in public, disrespect them and they beg these women to allow them to provide for them. This is part of the problem that leads to heartbreak.
If you don't know your purpose and value as a man you'll allow this nonsense in your life. Part of feeling whole, man or woman, is feeling ok with where you are in life and the person in the mirror.

@@zephyr2792 Who told the young women to behave this way? They didn't all one day, collectively, wake up and become this way. So who told them how to behave? Hollywood ( Beyonce and Kardashians) and the main stream media who "shame women" who want to be mothers and wives because those women are frequently conservatives. Hollywood and the main stream media and the music industry have manipulated our young women to look and act look hookers and entitled spoiled brats who think men "owe them something". I don't see anyone standing up and speaking out against Hollywood, main stream media and the music industry for telling our young girls as early as 10 yrs. old to look, act and dress like hookers, while simultaneously shaming the women who want to be feminine, ( often conservatives) and now days, they recruit other women via the media and Hollywood to even cancelled any woman who wants or believes there are differences between men and women. In todays media, if someone wants to be feminine they are trashed, publicly and made fun of and laughed at. In fact, when men love Beyonce and all the other "role models" that are thrown in our young women's faces and then they want to be like her so they look and act like a sleezy woman because thats what they have been taught. the entertainment industry and main stream media TOLD these young women for years that this is what being a "real woman" looks like and that being a wife and mother is a horrible thing. This is a tragedy, but until men stand up to Hollywood, main stream media and start HELPING these manipulated young women, encouraging them to take back their femininity it will only get worse. Good men will have no good women to choose from. Write to people like Beyonce and and Christine Aguilera. Those who have sold this lie to society and tell them how much they have contributed to corrupting our young woman's minds and taught them to behave this way. Until you stand up against them, things wont change. If you like and admire these king of women yourselves, don't expect young women to act any different than them. They will conform as society has programmed to them conform.

My wife cheated on me and left me as I was facing back surgery with a possibility of being a cripple and was unable to work for a bit. Cheated on me with a "friend" and left me for him. Destroyed, I started to abuse my pain meds. Got them taken away by the doctor, and turned to heroin. Christ found me, reached down into the void I was in, and took a hold of me. Clean now for 4 years, and currently training at a seminary to be a minister. Still looking for that woman to marry, but stopped feeling sorry for myself.
I met a pastor that God used who was a retired marine. Housed me when I was fixing to go homeless after a stint at a hospital-run rehab, bent over backward to help me but didn't take any of my bullshit, and expected me to act like a grown-ass man and stop feeling sorry for myself. He expected me to pick myself up, to put that damn needle down. He taught me self-respect and self-control, things I never learned from my father, who is a good man but absent in all the places that mattered. God used that pastor, sent that brother to help me, proved the godly and manly model I always wanted but never knew I needed, and beat my ass when I needed it (proverbially). He also told me similar to what you said... If you treat a man as a boy and expect nothing of him, he will act like a boy. If you treat him as a man and expect him to be a man, he will step up. A man will be whatever expectations that have been set in front of him.
Demand virtue of yourself and seek and embrace responsibility. Find God. Learn to carry your cross.

Dead on about the leadership. In fact, I see a huge lack of leadership overall in our society. I don't consider myself a super intelligent guy, but I find myself taking the reigns and speaking out on lots of subjects because nobody else is. Even at my job, I try to advise my boss because I think I might care about the business more than him. Also, don't idolize sports stars, singers, or politicians. These people are not grounded in reality.

It amazes me how the single mom is blamed for not teaching the young man to be a man. As opposed to the abandoning father. Even if the father had stayed the mom is in no position to teach a man to be a man. So why not highlight the fathers failure as opposed to pretending like it’s a woman’s failure? Weird.
