That's a fair point, but on the other hand Haunting Grounds is different than MvC2 in the sense that that there really isn't much demand for that ip, at least not in comparison to Mahvel. Not saying that guarantees anything, but as far as things that Capcom is likely to care about? MvC2 beats out Haunting Grounds.

Marvel Infinite's name was the franchise's saving grace at the time (cuz if it had been named Marvel 4, the series would've definitely died once and for all).

They had to honor pre existing deals with Fox and Sony for movie rights to specific brands and characters. In all other media and in merchandising Disney retained the rights to both X-Men and Spider-Man.

I just played MvC2 last night for the first time at a barcade in Indianapolis. Its the first Capcom vs. game I've played, and I was surprised just how easy it was to pick up the game. I played all kinds of goofy set ups, but my favorite team from last night was Sentinel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Cammy. Cammy, Psylocke, and Wolverine was super fun too! My friend had played MvC 3, but it was his first time on 2 as well. Thanks for talking about the game because I probably wouldn't have paid attention to the machine when I was there last night.

It's great to see that the campaign has succeeded in attracting the attention of both companies. MVC2 was a cornerstone of my childhood. I remember playing the story mode until my fingers blistered from the PS2 D-Pad. I'm rubbish at fighting games but I would buy any kind of port in a heartbeat!

Agreed. I respect Ono for going to bat to bring Street Fighter back however under his direction the games have turned into a parody of themselves. Too many joke characters and forced comedy, random jackassery going on in the background of the stages, and being stuck in the SF2 timeline.

I remember when I was in my late teens. I played one of my cousins games on PC and Cyber Akuma was on there as a playable character. It was called Street vs Capcom but it was only on PC and I had to us the keyboard not a controller. That game was great.
I got trippled mixed here, I also thought it was already in the game, then max made me believe it wasnt, then that it was and for a last time, he confirmed that it wasnt.
I definitely believe this is Capcom hinting at MVC2 being freed as we have hoped, but I also hope that pairing Rose’s Ruby Heart with Menat’s Felicia is a reference to Ruby Heart being a rejected Darkstalkers character and maybe…just maybe…she’ll get a chance to appear in a future Darkstalkers.
I honestly would be convinced they are hinting MVC if they release costumes for the games that are coming soon, like a Phoenix Wright costume, a Megaman costume, or a Falcon costume.
