I have never squealed so hard except when Ghost Trick and Live a Live was announced for switch. I may suck at fighting games, but I'm getting this the moment they allow me to give them money.
Basically capcom said " the license is alive" and dropped the mic. The MCU dying means that they want to capitalize all that was missing from the thanos saga, which was most of the icons from the 90s and specifically the XMEN, which were missing also in MVC3/UMVC3 to push the new movies, this hopefully means that capcom got a deal for MVC4.
I was in a state of utter shock when I watched this Direct live, and then when they played the MVC2 character select music I realized I had the biggest grin on my face.

What a wholesome moment for players from everywhere, being connected through their shared enjoyment of these games. I haven’t touched a Marvel vs Capcom game since I was in elementary school, and seeing them in arcades, but this announcement in the Nintendo Direct brought back waves of nostalgia. 🎉 I hope everyone who wants this game can pick it up.

It was a bit rude of Nintendo to put MvC Fighting Collection right before Super Mario Party Jamboree. MvC isn't just some small title; it has a dedicated (and massive) fanbase, and the games are still played to this day!

You know what the best thing is about this reveal is that NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE had a fucking clue. And this is the reason why I hate leaks because it takes away the reaction we see here.

Ironically, I heard after the fact that this DID get leaked at some point but it was either moments before the Direct or it somehow didn't gain any traction. There's even a moment in Max' stream when someone brings up MvC (which Max dismissed as a joke, God bless!) and it makes me wonder if they knew

What a wholesome moment for players from everywhere, being connected through their shared enjoyment of these games. I haven’t touched a Marvel vs Capcom game since I was in elementary school, and seeing them in arcades, but this announcement in the Nintendo Direct brought back waves of nostalgia. 🎉 I hope everyone who wants this game can pick it up.

It was a bit rude of Nintendo to put MvC Fighting Collection right before Super Mario Party Jamboree. MvC isn't just some small title; it has a dedicated (and massive) fanbase, and the games are still played to this day!
I cant deny, i didn't catch on until i saw Spider-Man immediately after seeing the intro showing Ryu, since i had forgotten that "Take you for a ride," was the lyrics to the MvC 2 character select screen.
This was and still is one of my favorite acrade games as a kid and I still cannot believe that the marvel vs capcom fighting collection is on the Nintendo switch. Man this is a good day !, also, 🎶 I wanna take you for a ride 🎶
