My be too late for you but the Fel-Pro gaskets 1250 are horrible, every time I have used them, they push out. You need to get M-9439-A50 they are metal reinforced and will hold their shape and will not distort. They also hold their torque better since it will not compress as much, and no cutting required at the water ports either. Another tip is to add 5 pounds of torque on the head bolts closest to the intake side of the head, because when torquing the intake down it will lift up on the head closest to the lifter valley.

I love your honesty in your videos. Taking the heads off in the engine bay is a big task. I have done that with my old 86gt and my 85gt. Great job on getting the car back on the road again. I use a moates quarterhorse and data logging is a great tool!

    • @HOUSEOFDULA

My channel is not just big enough. This video was no joke 4 weeks on and off filming. The other bigger fox channels just crank out 10-15min vids once a week or more. No way I can compete lol BUT I do have a few companies helping out, DeWitts radiators makes top-notch stuff and making a custom one for EgoBruise, AJE has been a HUGE help. NPT talked about it but never comitted lol that company is behind the times. Anyway, its not about the sponsors by any means anyway. Its the pure fun in these builds.

If we wanted hassle free cars im sure we'd all own new base model civics and altimas. You don't get into cars because you want a hassle free time. Plus my bone stock NA (at the time) 94 cobra ate a headgasket alot worse than this went. And I didn't even get on it. I was cruising on the highway and it just let go. It happens. If its gunna happen may as well be because he boosted the hell out of it 😂

Man couldn’t help but laugh with the talk of that dei wrap lol. I ceramic coated my hot side and wrapped my hot side with dei just to be extra safe with the heat and talk about a nightmare you are right. That stuff was on my hands and arms for 2 days after numerous showers and washes. That was with gloves on. Looked like a crack head itching all day. Get yourself a turbo blanked for the down pipe. It will fit no problem with a little wiggling it down in there and doesn’t shed like that dei wrap tape.

Just a test to see if your the type that would put a LS engine in a mustang. Other channels start off with a 1954 or 1960's Ford truck and decide to put a 5.3 or 6.0 votec/LS engine. Wonderful to see none of that here 👍

    • @HOUSEOFDULA

What 89 GT 5.0 said!! Why would I even consider it?? lol I have a perfectly good pushrod 302 making around 500 horse and a plethora of bad ass ford power plants to choose from "if" you want to swap (EgoBruise). Look im not the guy to be all "what an idiot he LS swapped it!" but that guy is runnins 8's on a junkyard build lol, to each his own man, especially when racing, LS is a bad ass engine for lots of reasons but me personally ...I lost 100% interest in a foxbody build with an LS. Skim right over it, same as I do every corvette at every car show.
