    The main focus of many mobile games seems to be primarily about making money rather than providing a meaningful gaming experience.

      Also the efficiency is not even that good.. Geekerwan already had a real chip and made his usually tests on it.. it perform better in Geekbench multiscore, but on what cost..? While Apple A18 use 12W for the 9000 score, the SD 8 Elite use about 17W for the 10000... (basically even the Mediatek next chip with Cortex-X925 chip is close to this, not to mention Apple still use less power for the same results..)
      Just remember the initial SD X Elite hype, and the rumors about the manufacturers, it's not even half of that is true.. well you don't see any fanless X Elite, because it's perform pretty low without cooler.. and those use the same Oryon cores..

      @@TamasKiss-yk4stYou are wise to be cautious. Hype is hype after all. From the early and few unbiased independent tests that I have seen, this chip flys and will set new levels of performance and efficiency. It is quite staggering to me, and I am not easily pleased. This will be proven when devices are using the chip on a large scale. It is about time mobile performance had such a hike in my opinion. We consumers deserve it.

    "We 100% needed more power on mobile" - I have a S23... I'm sure I wouldn't notice any difference if my phone had this new chip. In computers, with you wanting to run games in 4k, with everything on max at 240fps... Sure, you can see a difference when you get new hardware. With mobile, honestly, at this point... If you own a flagship phone, it's gonna take years until something comes out that will really make some noticeable difference in terms of performance.

      Exactly..kinda like the boys crying about batteries charging ridiculously fast just for specs ...Wow I can brag but battery dies quickly and actually since it slows down when near full, I can go from 80 % to 100 % taking just as long as everyone else so extra battery means nothing

      @NadeemAhmed-nv2br 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Actually with this complete new pardime shift, it's actually 64% faster in day to day tasks so it'll be noticeably snappier when you open TH-cam, change videos, click on your phone caller etc. Take a Pic and it snaps in half the time etc

    • @gundamzerostrike
      @gundamzerostrike 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@NadeemAhmed-nv2br Just checked here. TH-cam in 0.40 seconds. The camera app and Google maps take a bit longer, because they need to turn on the camera and load the map. So the problem is not even the processor, but the internet (to load the map) and the fact the camera turn on only after the app is fully openend. And that is still just 0.80 seconds... it still feels pretty immediate. It's pretty much the time it takes for me to click on the chronometre and then click on it again. It's just the time of the Android animation of transitioning from the app icon to the full screen app. That's why I said there would be no difference. It won't feel different.

      It's coming back just as soon as every mobile phone maker stops selling their own brand of bluetooth earbuds. Right alongside removeable storage when companies stop making money hand over fist on upgrades to internal storage. After that, we're certain to see the return of the user replaceable battery once mobile phone makers lose interest in selling us a whole new phone just because the battery life is waning.
      Actually, I think a couple of those things could happen in the EU via consumer protection or environmental mandates, depending on what direction they go politically. But anything like that happening in the U.S. is a lost cause.

    The flip side is that this forced chip designers to squeeze out more efficiency/performance from an inferior node (4nm).
    Now that everyone's back on a level playing field in terms node we'll see who's architecture is best.

It's not viable for either company to be at odds with each other given the amount of money and stock both will lose over this 😂. @@bankaimaster999 From my source, they will still be able to sell and ship regardless of the outcome, but if ARM wins the lawsuit (that has been going on since qcomm acquired nuvia) then qcomm will have to pay ARM whatever they specify which would most likely be increase profit sharing. ARM is also looking to develop their own chips soon and they have been poaching many qcomm engineers in recent years and months. They are on the attack for whatever reason.

      @Ajaykrishna97_ it's not precisely 45% more frames, but the over chip 45% more powerful to run every task, or more faster, while consuming almost half the power of 8 gen 3 for the same tasks, just assume it like that, although things down on microprocessor level works differently.

    OK, let's hold on to ourselves. They anyways say how much more powerful these chips are every year, but since there isn't a real cooling system in these device, they are only going to go so fast, and unless I'm wrong, it's taste that all of the chores are even being utilized at any given time.
    My S24 Ultra gets extremely hot when I'm multitasking, and if I'm using wireless charging at the same time, it just won't run certain apps at all.
    Will these chips help with AI function? Well just turn off server based AI function, and you'll see that nothing you really want to do is being done locally, so what's with all this nueral chip baloney bring pushed out there.
    I don't know what is really going on here, but it isn't that great.
    I tried translate live, and it was about 30% functional - which means useless.
    The generative imaging is nice, but it's not done on your phone, it's performed on a server some place. Here's what you need to do about server-based AI functions. Once you send anything up to one of these services, they own it. Forever to do with as they please.
    No matter how powerful these chips are, you can't use that power because your device will overheat! These are the laws of physics that cannot be overcome.
    Most AI functions are not processed on your device - not ever.
    Live translate is crap.
    Now. These device and software are better, but just understand that there is a lot of hype here
