Qcomm chips are incredible. I use them just for their internal audio DACS alone. The power in these chips is incredible making so many technologies obsolete. The stock is good as well with 2 percent dividends and lowest beta in class. What’s not to love about this fabless company. I doubt it, the masses of normal people buying phones don’t know the name or speed of the chip in it. All flagship phones perform the same these days for what people do on them. Qualcomm needed this energy and these performance break throughs when they relaunched Windows on ARM. Laptop users actually need more performance.
Won't even hit the market as ARM has sued Qualcomm as Qualcomm's Orion CPU designs violates ARM licensing. Qualcomm will have to go back to Kryo CPU cores.
All these performance gains are useless if non-gaming phones throttle and/or get way too hot at the cost of sustainable peak performance. I predict a repeat of 8 Gen 3 devices - Samsung phones throttling too much and Chinese phones getting way too hot to maintain peak performance. Apple and Dimensity are moving in the right direction with their silicon. It might take several years before Snapdragon is able to replicate their performance in actual devices and not lab tests in a vacuum.
