    I've been using the Pyle for more than 6 years and never have any problems and they still sound great

    Purchased a pair of the Pyle tweeters to run with my skar audio neodinium 6.5 in my front doors and they sound great together! Thanks for this video I was about to spend alot more for some giant tweeter that would've broke the bank and probably wasn't even gonna fit without a bunch of modding. They even came with a template I was able to trace and Dremel out keep it up. I know there is a lot of people that only buy by brand or price but if you know what your doing you don't need to break the bank to sound good. 👍

    I grabbed the Skar audio on the right more for compact space in my car, I'll probably grab the Orion's or pyles for my van tho, good video Mike 💯💯💯

    I was planning on one of the Skar tweeters, but I’m hearing harshness and a lot of mids. The Pyle surprises me.

    I was gonna buy the 200w scar 1.75” after buying a scar sub , you changed my mind and went ahead and purchased the smaller Pyle tweeter set.

      @@haroldgutierrez8490 yep. 100% satisfied with my my highs now I need some mids.
      But they’re actually 3” they’re described as 1” drivers but the magnet in the back is huge.

    Thanks for the video, I like it a lot, but I think this wasn't a fair comparisson, because the quality and value of each capacitor, affects the amount of mid range signal to the tweeter, and that causes the distortion. Maybe next time, you can make this test with a crossover or at least the same quality capacitor on each tweeter. Regards from Mexico

    the difference between the SKY and the Pyle. depends on your setup. It's not a question of which is better. it's a question of what your existing sound needs. if you want High-end notes then use Pyle. if you want to use the Tweeter as your main setup. then chose the SKY.

    In addition to the sound tests, you might want to consider doing a frequency sweep with some audio measurement software and a measurement microphone. This will give you a better idea of how they are performing comparatively as human hearing is highly subjective.

    So I've previously discovered it all depends how many channels or speakers you running if you want the best highs and mids this video is perfect for beginners that have troubles understanding manufacturer spec sheets soooo if you want the best sound for your money buy the Pyle tweeter for that high highs sounds and the Orion cobalt tweeter for that high mid range and any other Orion 6.5 mid range speaker that has about the same wats as the tweeters and a Boston acoustics cross over and any Orion 4 channel amp that gives at least 75wats rms it costed me about $250 3 years ago I started with the pyles then taught they were crap so bought the Orion's and wanted both sounds of both Pyle and Orion tweeter in one so I hooked them up and sounded amazing and even better once equalized

      Hey man you sound like you know a lot so ima ask you haha:
      How do you correctly set gains for door speakers/component system?
      I have skar spx65c with the crossovers. Just wired up normally I guess you could say but idk how many ohms my final impedance is.
      When I set gains on my sub I use a multimeter and I find the square root of my subwoofer rms multiplied by my ohms/impedance to find desired voltage, then I turn my gain until my multimeter shows that voltage
      √(rms*Ω)

    Should use the same capacitor for a fair test because how low they play will be down to your crossovers anyway, the capacitor is just for protection so they won't blow. Most people buying a bullet tweeter will be amplifying there components and will be installing crossovers, no offence still appreciated the comparison ✌🏼

    I happened to buy the two Skar tweeters you rated behind the Pyle's. I bought Skar because it's a proven competitive brand. I used the speakers for home audio. I designed my own crossovers so I use 2.7uf caps instead of the 3.5uf caps they came with. I also went further and rejected frequencies below 7KHz. Ideally I would like to push that frequency to 10KHz. Bottom line is I agree with you about those tweeters infringing on midrange frequencies. However, in the hands of the right installer, they provide better crossover range. I'm a punisher when comes to testing. One of the songs I use is "Ask Dem Hoes" by Birdman & Lil Wayne. I'm currently in the market for midrange because that song brings out the discrepancies of my 5.25 mids.

    You should hook them all up and test the sound of all of them together you might create the best tweeter sound system. trow crossover or EQ on them if you can while all are hooked up together running at the same time 😁

  • @spec1923

    Why would he swap capacitors? I think this should remain a test of sound quality and output as sold out of the box, not what you could rig them to sound like.

  • @stephenmcbride6359
    @stephenmcbride6359 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    If the capacitors are of different type, brand or value, the sound can change dramatically.Since most will be using a separate crossover please show with the same type of caps to get a better idea of the speakers true differences. I have swapped caps on many tweeters in order to tune my sound.

    • @ericwarnock704
      @ericwarnock704 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He uses the same cap on all the tweets and the skar still had too much mids passing through making sound distorted. I was rooting for the Skar because i was about to buy a set.
