Larry said that Magic was the only one he feared, and Magic said Larry was the one he feared.

Great reaction. Yes please react to "A Courtship of Rivals". Magic and Bird. I don't know of anyone Bird was afraid of, but I know he used to check the papers every day to see Magic's stats. That was his main competition. Larry said he used to sometimes think, "I wonder if Magic got 500 shots in today, and I didn't get 500 in. Great respect. Thank you.

Bird was fearless but had a passion to play magic. Gives magic all his props. He said MJ was God in tennis shoes

Others have said it this is just for this video. Barkley said God made Bird unathletic to make it fair for the rest of them

I don’t think Larry had a reason to fear anyone, it was always the other way around. Larry got respect because Larry had respect. He might have talked trash but he wasn’t dirty and there was always respect.

Bird was so revered in Boston his retirement ceremony was held on a night there was no game, by comparison Tom Brady the GOAT of the NFL had his ceremony at halftime at Gillette

Rodman didnt even play basket as a kid, he developed later in his life, like grew 5 inches overnight, and then started playing basket, so I think that is why he got late to the NBA ... and also it would be the reason for him not being a fine offensive player, buy he was a beast on the defensive end.

Speaking on Rodman being a 25 year old rookie, if memory serves correctly, Rodman didn't even start play basketball until he we like 17-18 years old. So he'd only be playing ball for 7-8 years at 25 years old. Which is probably why the only thing he was good at was defense because in the physical league back then, you could just be a high energy monster because those fouls called today would never be called. Rodman is the one who wouldn't be playing today. He couldn't shoot or pass all he did was physical defense. He was an amazing defender and i wish it was allowed today but Rodman would never have existed in college or the nba if he came up with this league today.

Larry did all of it without being ball dominant; just as a comparison to the players like Doncic and Joker.

Bird never feared anyone....but he compared himself to Magic. He regularly checked Magic stats..... I think he felt that Magic was the closest 1 to himself that was his biggest competition.

Rodman told the media that Bird only gets the hype because he is white, that if he was black he would just be an average player. Bird playing against rodman in regular season averaged 24.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.9 assists. in playoffs Bird averaged 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists. rodman's stats against Bird regular season 10.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists, post season 6.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists . So what does that make Rodman if Bird is just average. Now Rodman says Bird couldn't play in todays era. Jealous is what he is.

Why would his game have been better if he had been more "athletic"? Do you see him getting his shots blocked all the time or something? He was the GOAT just listen to what all his peers have to say. You're right about not getting his proposal. They're all friends now but young men are more emotional

Larry would say that about all your disrespecting me with a white guy cuz, when he was younger he only played mostly with older black guys at the basketball court and they would let him play with them.
