Bird was one of the few players I've seen who forced you to play at his pace. If he played today, he'd make all the adjustments necessary to dominate the league. Especially since all the rules have changed to benefit the scoring. Larry Bird would be ridiculous in today's NBA. Great vid bro.

BIRD was one of the most fundamentally players-EVER. He was also the-BEST-all around player during his era. There's an interview where Kareem said Larry could do everything and the Lakers couldn't stop him. Larry Bird was a-BEAST-of a player.

You also got to factor in that he would pass off a lot to keep everyone in the game. He didn't care about personal #'s and that's what everyone today wants to look at.

Watch him signing his contract. Bird is a lefty, but was taught right hand like nearly all players. Cool that he’s so good at both that way!

Larry Bird is the first player to accomplish the 50-40-90 club, the only person in NBA history to be named Rookie of the Year, 3 point Champion three straight years, MVP three times straight (When competing against Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Dr. J, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy and many more), Finals MVP, All-Star MVP, Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year. Also Hall Of Fame Head Coach Pat Riley once said " If I had to choose a player to make rh winning shot of a game. I would pick Michael Jordan, but if I had to pick a player to make a shot to save my life. I pick Larry Bird."

During the summer yet not signed with Boston his trainer for Boston said he was damaged goods. So the guy who offered him a contract before committed to Boston took him to the court and let him shoot. Aribuch said you’re fine. Although Larry said later he never felt the same tough since the injury

I think the 4 toughest in this season were the Sixers, Lakers, Pistons and Rockets. A few others had some tough star players (Aguirre, King, Nique), but they were beatable as a team. Which the Celtics did lol.

After the game and from the outside you're always know better! Being on court is different, at least he tried and gave💯every game. He even told the Celtics,"if i can't play, or give not 💯, you don't have to pay me!" Never heard any other athlete saying this! There is always a better one, but you don't find many with a heart of a lion. And as Bill Walton said"playing with Larry was like being on tour with the Grateful Dead, you never knew what was going to happen, but it was always explosive, dynamic, fun, and competitive". Enjoy the great games from whoever, and try to learn some.❤

Not way better, but you have to realize that there was no zone and you couldn't double someone who didn't have the ball. That made passing tougher because everyone had someone in their pocket. His touch and long passing was insane. You should probably watch his passing highlights.
