Thank you for this! I'm getting all sorts of popping during my ears while doing the exercise, and I'm getting some drainage as well. I never would have guessed that my occasional ear pain could be related to poor posture.
Omg I have had this issue in both ears for over 4 years! I was at a desk job when it occurred although I never slouched I did not have an actual desk but a shelf and I was at a very horrible angle and have suffered elbow issues as well due to that job. I recall. In that year, 2017 I was sick and my ears never lost the congestion associated with the sickness. I had ENT's tell me it was noting, tell me I just was having hearing problems, I was making it up. I've gotten the sprays, the steroids etc etc nothing ever worked. I have resigned my life to be miserable because of the feeling of always being under water (or having water in your ears). I will try this I seriously hope it helps!
I’ve had this same problem for the last year! Very bad post nasal drainage, both ears clogged and popping. Absolutely miserable! Has this helped you at all?
I've been watching few of these videos in the hope to learn how to treat my ETD. I'm about to see an ENT and feel scared he might say there is something horrible or dismiss the whole problem. Btw this started after an ear wax removal down at my doctor surgery. Never experienced anything like it before. I am very concerned. Ringing in the ear is pretty awful in the evening. It's a miracle I get some sleep with that loud noise. Would love to be visited by the doctor in the video. He sounds very caring and understanding. Sadly I live near London so will need to find a therapist who can perform these techniques. We shall see....
Hello doctor, I am in my mid 20s and have had both ears feel full & have ear pressure for almost a year. I have been to the ENT twice - the first told me it is not a big deal and that there is no problem with my ears (looked in my nose, ears, throat) and gave me sprays. Almost a year later, a second Ent gave me steroids which seemed to help at first but no change. I am relieved that there are others like me and that I should probably try out this method. I also work in front of the computer all day and was very stressed right before this problem started. My question is, how often should we try the mckenzie exercises, and around how long does it take for your patients with eustachian tubes to see improvements? Ive tried for a couple days but doesnt seem to change , should I keep trying? Could it take weeks? Your respond would mean so much to me and others!
Thank you for the query. First and foremost, I will recommend finding a certified McKenzie therapist in your area. The exercise which helped this particular patient was- Cervical retraction in sitting, repeated movements, and, Cervical retraction in sitting, sustained, lasting for a minute or two. There are some technicalities which are involved in the above exercise and intervention, and it is always helpful to see a certified McKenzie therapist. The response depends on if the exercise is done correctly, and if you are able to reach the end-range. It could be days or a week or two, totally depends.
I have exact same issue. Please help me!!! Fullness in both ears, sinus issues on mri show chronic. Had sudden hearing loss in march to right ear. Low frequencies came back but not high.
Please doctor wt is the exercise I have clogged ear for 4 months getting worser blocked head too I have problems breathing going thru hell I cannot bear clogged so much noise in ear wt is the exercise pls say doctor please
Farida Aali I would advise you see a dr, but I want to help you with your question, the exercise the patient did, which was prescribed by the dr in the video is cervical retraction in the sitting position. I am not a medical professional, nor am I recommending you do this before seeing a dr. Here is a link to see how the exercise mentioned in the video is done. th-cam.com/video/D9lnzXQYtgs/w-d-xo.html

please find a mckenzie certified clinician in your area
@@vikasagar9 What if there aren't any mckenzie clinicians in my area???
By sustained, do you mean just holding the position for a longer amount of time? If so, how long should I do it?
Gradually trying increasing to 30 sec, then further to a minute. However, occasionally it requires sustained retraction position up to 3 minutes
Can we break eustachian tube? Its possible?
