Great video! Just want to add somethings me and others have recently found out mainly about reload :) A few things to note, especially for reload builds. Passives stack multiplicatively so using an elemental build you can reach the damage cap of 5x if you're using Magic Mastery, Magic Ability, Boost, Amp, Driver and STB/MTB. You can use this with King and I to 1 shot Elizabeth on Easy mode. Scarlet Havoc can 1 shot with a crit but only on peaceful. And today me and some guys looking into the game files found out the Crit Rate Boost and Crit Rate Amp do NOT stack no matter what anyone wants to tell you, so you can freely remove that in place of Arms Master or Null Slash. Boost gives a +5 and Amp gives a +15 separated from Apt Pupil and if you use both passives you only gain the benefit of Crit Rate Amp so Boost is useless. We've also found out how mutations work, it is still rng but you can weight it to be in your favour using the correct setups to turn mastery from roughly in the 1/1000 odds to in the 1/200s. The arcanas involved in the fusion dictate the pool of skills that can be mutated into and each arcana is in a pack from 1 to 6 (special fusions only take the top 2). Magic Mastery is only contained within pack 3 5 and 6. For most personas its fine but for personas like Pixie and Thanatos and Telos it is physically not possible to mutate mastery into them without cheating. However since you can accident into Pixie because the accident calculation is -10 mc levels to +1 of mc level you can use a different combination of non-Lovers ingredients and as long as you are no higher than mc level 12 you can theoretically get Magic Mastery on Pixie which is quite possibly the rarest persona you can make legitimately with rough odds of 1/20,000 - 1/25,000 The base damage of Theurgies is way lower than other skills but they are calculated differently and include both your strength AND magic stat for the damage formula. So having a higher magic will make Scarlet Havoc more powerful and higher Strength will make Magic Theurgies more powerful too. There is a hard damage cap of 99,999 in the game too so you can't do more damage than that. Funnily enough Atlus made the damage fluctuation take effect after the initial calculation so by hitting a 99,999 hit you can get a high roll of 104,998 Another weird quirk for physical builds Rebellion and Revolution crit increases are separate and do stack so using Apt Pupil, Crit Amp on a 30% base move takes it to a 75% crit chance (30x2 is 60 then you add the amp passive) before factoring in luck stat. Then by adding Rebellion and Revolution for a +7 and +15 this takes your crit rate to a whopping 97% chance with a matching luck stat and basically 100% against lower enemies. You can actually heavily outdps Izanagi No Okami in Royal by using Magatsu Izanagi's dlc trait Hollow Jester there is a setup to do 1 million damage with a single God's Hand
Izanagi No Okami still blows Satanael out of the water, it's a good thing they didn't bring them back. Morning Star and both Megidolaon as poster above said are both stronger than Sinful Shell. Better off using Helel/Lucifer.
Kaguya was the equivalent to cendrillion in vanilla p5 trust many people just don't talk about it You'd think she sucks because she was level 23 at base but you'd be dead wrong😂
I used kaguya vs the super boss fight in OG P5. Less consistent and less resistances than Yoshitsune but you can make her earlier and the damage ceiling is much higher.
Slight correction, the passive damage boosting skills stack multiplicatively, not additively, so combining multi target boost and element boost/amp/driver doesn't increase your damage by 165%, it multiplies it by 1.15*1.25*1.5*1.75 which is roughly 3.77 or a 277% increase Yeah passive damage boost stacking is broken lol
Adding to that: Persona 5 Royal has Hardcap of 2x damage with passives and traits. Tyrant's Mind only trait to exceed hardcap to do 2.5x damage (25% more to 200%). Persona 3 Reload has no cap and stacks multiplicative, which breaks DLC Driver skills into P2W territory.
@@StormholdQ Reload actually does have a hard cap of 4x but it's not feasible to consistently hit with physical skills, needing shift amp to reach. You can hit it with magic skills though using magic ability and/or magic mastery

That's a tough one, early-mid game personas tend to fall off pretty quickly due to their skills getting dated, especially magic. Tier 1 spells like Agi are unviable by around Kaneshiro's palace and a similar thing happens with Tier 2. Also my criteria was highest damage potential and since no early game personas have exclusive skills to worry about, they're all technically as good as each other. However if I changed the criteria to overall usage then it would probably be an interesting idea, I'll consider it.

Like, Raoul already has a busted ass move that has a high chance of putting all enemies to sleep, I'm sure they'll just build off that for the next one. Also, I think FemOrpheus deserves an honorable mention in p5 for best support persona. Get Lakshmi's trait on her and you get mediarama + Thermopylae for 5 TURNS. It's insane.

Just one thing, it has been discovrr through datamines that crit rate boost and amp do not stack, so you want crit rate amp + apt pupil, however, the buffing skills Rebelion and revolution do stack, giving you a 7% and 15% respectively

As someone who's played Megaten for years, fusing insanely powerful Personas has become a favorite passtime of mine. I recently fused a Siegfried in Persona 3 Reload that has a crit rate so disgustingly high, that I scored six crits in a row against Tayaka and Jin without needing to be under the effects of Revolution
Great video! I'm not good with math, I just enjoyed the game and hoped I didn't get inta killed by light/dark. I might try and do P5r for the 5th time on switch. This video made me subscribe. You have a fun voice and your explanations are really concise to me. :)
Izanagi No Okami in P5R does have the nerf if you wanna call it that with country maker in that if you dont have a lot of personas in the compendium the damage is drastically reduced and can cause major SP issues in the early game if you dont one shot enemies. its more effective on a NG+ run where you have gone through the game once and have a good amount of the compendium filled out if not just about full.
You should probably do a video about smt demons given that you can similarly minmax the hell out of them even if it isn't as gamebreaking given how more difficult smt games are to persona. The fact that there is a dlc demon that can restore hp, mp, and grant a luster candy boost is nutty.
If you decide to make a follow up video covering more supportive Personas, I'd like to nominate Orpheus (Picaro) from P5R as probably one of the best support Personas. No, not that Orpheus, THAT Orpheus. The one with Neo Cadenza instead of Cadenza. Neo Cadenza is basically a Thermopylae combined with a Mediarama that deals "fixed" healing (which can get boosted by Morgana's and probably more Traits, but the base Trait is still great as it's FOUR Enduring Souls.
Yeah FEMC Orpheus is insane, you can give him the trait “Wealth of Lotus” from Lakshmi and it’ll extend the effect of buffs by 2 turns, meaning you get 50% heal and full party heat riser for 5 turns instead of 3.
An alternative to Messiah (for my Single Run, no NG+ friends, that's under leveled to fuse him) is Michael. Michael learns Heaven's Blade naturally and is only weak to Wind and Resists Slash. Although Heaven's Blade is slightly weaker than Vorpal Blade, with the latter being 16% stronger than the former, the trade off is a 130% increase of Skill Crit Chance (more than doubling it). Also bare in mind that Heaven's Blade is a Single Target Attack while Vorpal Blade is a Multi Target Attack (and in my opinion for single bosses, like the Reaper, an STA is better than an MTA). There's a specific fusion path to create Michael, where it involves a Mada (Null Wind) and Decarabia (Null Slash) and also Siegfried (Crit Amp and Slash Amp). Here Decarabia is VERY useful when an enemy Repels or Counters your strike so that you take no damage. Add on an Apt. Pupil and a Slash Boost and you're set. Additionally, there's 2 types of fusion path that you could do with Michael, an more Offensive and a more Defensive Option. If you're going for offense go ahead and learn Single Target Boost. But if you're going for defense you could opt for a Null Slash or a Resist Slash skill card. So the fusion(s) go like this: 1. Heavens Blade 2. Null Wind (from Mada) 3. Null Slash (from Decarabia) 4. Crit Amp 5. Slash Amp (both from Siegfried) 6. Apt Pupil 7. Arms Master 8. Slash Boost OR 8. Null or Resist Strike (from Mishaguji or Genbu) This makes Michael almost immune to Physical Attacks, since he Resists Pierce naturally. So you're looking at a Damage and Crit Rate of: 1. 500 Power and 30% Crit 2. +15% or x1.15 Crit 3. +50% or x.15 Slash 4. 2x Crit 5. +25% or x1.25 Slash 6. +15% or x.1.15 Damage By this logic you can expect a (30% + 15%)x2 = 90% Crit Rate with Heaven's Blade and a 50% + 25% + 15% = 90% Damage Increase. Albeit my Crit Rate calculation might be wrong here, and this still doesn't account for a Bloody Charge/Charge + Rebellion + Revolution + Ma/Sukukaja + Ma/Sukunda. AND STILL doesn't account for Weapons or Armor or Accessories (Weapons mainly) that has Crit Rate (High) Side note, i am not particularly sure about the effects of the Suku-Skills, on certain runs using Koromaru and Yukari with an Auto Sukukaja gear and 99% accuracy, i am able to Crit a lot of enemies that's Distressed, maybe that's just the luck factor or the ailment factor, but also Koromaru has the Auto-Masukunda trait that might have helped. The whole thing needs more testing and this is only a Hypothesis.
For Cendrillon's weakness, I got it covered after I defeat Elizabeth from my 1st playthrough. She would give us an accessories that would Null All Damages (except for Almighty, of course). Without Debilitate on the Reaper, got myself Charge for the next physical damage, when I use Scarlet Havoc with equipped Cendrillon, I got approximately 23k-24k damage, which would turn The Reaper to dust easily. For the Charge, you can save yourself the trouble by choosing the support card during the Shuffle Card phase, then wait for The Reaper to appear to whoop his ass, no need to waste one turn to charge yourself up so The Reaper can use Debilitate on us or use Heat Riser on himself. For the most magical general/overall and balance damage Persona, I would choose Orpheus Telos, because I would let him learn Inferno (strongest passable Fire damage on 1 foe in the game, besides the Theurgy), Diamond Dust (strongest passable Ice damage on 1 foe in the game, besides the Theurgy), Thunder Reign (strongest passable Electric damage on 1 foe in the game, besides the Theurgy), Panta Rhei (strongest passable Wind damage on 1 foe in the game, besides the Theurgy), and Morning Star (strongest passable Almighty damage on 1 foe in the game, besides the Theurgy) and I would keep his Victory Cry. The last two slots of skills are intend for Divine Judgment and Demonic Decree, if I am able to find those skill cards, then he would be my best magical damage Persona in Persona 3 Reload
Now do one with the best support personas. Also, I would say that Satanael is the best none-dlc persona in 5. He may not hit as hard as Yoshitsune but he is really flexible, just slap on 2 elemental amps and the same element severe tier ma-skills, almighty amp or boost and Meigadolaon.
Something that I like about P5S, besides the fact that it's way different from regular Persona games, is that even with the best Personas (Lucifer, Mara, Yoshitsune, Black Frost, etc...) AND maxed out stats on all allies, you can't break the game, and in Merciless, you can still get wiped at the slightest of mistakes.
The DLC's are all pretty awesome, but I really want them to be integrated more neatly. On my first P5 Royal playthrough I was just exploring my room and suddenly the stash of doom pops up letting me know that I am not tremendously overpowered cause I clicked on this thing with no warning. Like don't get me wrong, I quite like that the option exists to just go BONKERS right away with this stuff, but uhhhh, leave that up to me, ty Atlus.
The accessory that gives 10mp a turn made the game so laughably easy because you can pretty much end all the early palaces in one day without using any items.
I would say say one thing the persona five royal one (I can’t even attempt to spell his name) could honestly just be used to grind as well. Even if you don’t use it for any major fights just having a persona the can make grinding way less painful is nice .
A canon persona experience is just figuring out how cool it is to experiment with fusions to make the best build at the end of the game. every single time
Nah in p5s, it's yoshitsune by FAR, considering you can spam hassou tobi 5 times in less than 2 seconds without interruption, then just fully heal The game is pretty broken due to it not being turn based so every time you summon your persona time will stop.
Crit Rate Amp overwrites Crit rate boost, so you can put literally any other skill in that slot. And It's just 56% critical chance, with revolution active. Best choices are either Drain Slash or Arms Master instead of Crit Rate Boost
I mean, you control the buttons you press, I always ignored the DLC personas in 5 royal for my first playthrough. And it's good to have them for my new game + run (where I just want the story and rush the dungeons)
the downside is that nintendo being the greedy company that it is requires nintendo switch online to network fusion for the izanagi no okami almighty boosts so i cant build it to its full potential (i used yoshitsune trumpeter and maria all fully built for the final boss and this is why i have like 180 hours)
I've never played the switch version so I never knew this. That is absolutely wild they make you cough up the money for NSO when all it lets you do is look as school answers and fuse with random personas.
Since P5 and P4 have Myraid Truths, albeit not for the player to use freely in 4, all three games have something that will reveal all. *”By the Myriad Truths!”* *”All will be revealed!”* “The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed.”
I think a top 5 Persona in 5 is Alice. Her weakness is that her cheese doesn’t work literally at all against bosses, but she will melt through mementos and palaces
I just here to say that crit boost and amp DO NOT stack with each other but they do stack with apt pupil. Also since Sumi didn’t get to be in anything other than royal I’m glad they made her persona the best in reload, makes it like an apology to her
I think Picaro learns better skills but that's up for you to compare and decide for yourself. Regular: aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p5r/personas/Izanagi-no-Okami/fissions Picaro: aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p5r/personas/Izanagi-no-Okami%20Picaro/fissions
WTF Atlus. Building personas would be so much fun with a sacrifice/fusion mechanic! The lack of that + Magic Ability not being transferable make min/maxing an achievement for those who are death inside.
Which difficulty are you using ? I don't think it's possible to deal that much damage to the reaper in Merciless. My 99 STR Asura with Strike boost / amp only dealt about 4000 with a critical charged God's Hand. With Heat Riser and Debilitate on myself and the Reaper, respectively.
Just so you know, I made the reaper a literal joke then I easily got everyone level 99 (thanks to Izanagi I was able to save on items and LOADS OF time, it’s also fun to play it too)

Almost 1 shotting reaper with vorpal blade is insane
There’s a good chance I could’ve one shot it if I got lucky enough, I kind of regret never trying that now.
Great informative video, I’ve subscribed!
You don’t need Magic ability and mastery on goemonn you’ll hit the damage multiplier cap way before those abilities come into play.
So the fusion(s) go like this:
1. Heavens Blade
2. Null Wind (from Mada)
3. Null Slash (from Decarabia)
4. Crit Amp
5. Slash Amp (both from Siegfried)
6. Apt Pupil
7. Arms Master
8. Slash Boost
OR
8. Null or Resist Strike (from Mishaguji or Genbu)
This makes Michael almost immune to Physical Attacks, since he Resists Pierce naturally.
So you're looking at a Damage and Crit Rate of:
1. 500 Power and 30% Crit
2. +15% or x1.15 Crit
3. +50% or x.15 Slash
4. 2x Crit
5. +25% or x1.25 Slash
6. +15% or x.1.15 Damage
By this logic you can expect a (30% + 15%)x2 = 90% Crit Rate with Heaven's Blade and a 50% + 25% + 15% = 90% Damage Increase. Albeit my Crit Rate calculation might be wrong here, and this still doesn't account for a Bloody Charge/Charge + Rebellion + Revolution + Ma/Sukukaja + Ma/Sukunda. AND STILL doesn't account for Weapons or Armor or Accessories (Weapons mainly) that has Crit Rate (High)
Side note, i am not particularly sure about the effects of the Suku-Skills, on certain runs using Koromaru and Yukari with an Auto Sukukaja gear and 99% accuracy, i am able to Crit a lot of enemies that's Distressed, maybe that's just the luck factor or the ailment factor, but also Koromaru has the Auto-Masukunda trait that might have helped. The whole thing needs more testing and this is only a Hypothesis.
Great video but I find it funny how you didn’t mention the st.hermelin badge which completely makes Izanagi completely invincible
P3 Reload, is Auto-Rebellion better for slash crit build? I transferred from Siegfried to my Messiah
You should always build an auto buff persona and stack all the autos on that.
If you mean for a standalone persons, then Apt pupil offer better value
“I’m not gonna sugarcoat it” ahh personas
Yoshitsune's hasou tobi are indeed fascinating
Wait, what's with joker's white outfit? Is that a mod?
Something that I like about P5S, besides the fact that it's way different from regular Persona games, is that even with the best Personas (Lucifer, Mara, Yoshitsune, Black Frost, etc...) AND maxed out stats on all allies, you can't break the game, and in Merciless, you can still get wiped at the slightest of mistakes.
Agreed, I did have a very fun time with Strikers Merciless mode. It makes me look at Vengeance’s godborn mode and sigh.
12:20 foreshadowing
Just imagine they keep phys boost skills in the future, Hassou tobbi goin zing zing zing
Idk how well known this is, but you can literally access all the DLC personas as well the DLC costumes with a mod menu.
would love to see the worst or weirdest personas in each game good video
Its just him talking about Mara for 15 minutes.
Used Yoshitsune in Labyrinth. Dude was dealing 10k damage a turn.
I would say say one thing the persona five royal one (I can’t even attempt to spell his name) could honestly just be used to grind as well. Even if you don’t use it for any major fights just having a persona the can make grinding way less painful is nice .
A canon persona experience is just figuring out how cool it is to experiment with fusions to make the best build at the end of the game. every single time
The reason my playtime is so high is because of the velvet room. Spent like half of my game in their
I'd say Lucifer takes the #1 spot for P5S (Strikers)
Nah in p5s, it's yoshitsune by FAR, considering you can spam hassou tobi 5 times in less than 2 seconds without interruption, then just fully heal
The game is pretty broken due to it not being turn based so every time you summon your persona time will stop.
@@divinity1495 I completely forgot Yoshitsune exists in p5s ngl
How to get the outfit in 8:45
It's most likely a mod.
It's a mod sadly: gamebanana.com/mods/495981
Crit Rate Amp overwrites Crit rate boost, so you can put literally any other skill in that slot. And It's just 56% critical chance, with revolution active. Best choices are either Drain Slash or Arms Master instead of Crit Rate Boost
12:23 theres a reason he didnt make a return in P3R.
Are you sure about that?
Nice argument for slash damage, one small issue- *Vorpal Blade Siegfried.*
yk this video is good when ive watched it in its entirety and i HAVE NOT played any of these games properly
why tf do you have a sisyphus pfp
I don’t think the reaper ever saw it coming.
I mean, you control the buttons you press, I always ignored the DLC personas in 5 royal for my first playthrough. And it's good to have them for my new game + run (where I just want the story and rush the dungeons)
Good vid bro
I expect either Thanatos, Messiah, or Psyche to be the most overpowered DLC Persona in 6 or a 4 remake, judging the pattern for overpowered Personas.
the downside is that nintendo being the greedy company that it is requires nintendo switch online to network fusion for the izanagi no okami almighty boosts so i cant build it to its full potential
(i used yoshitsune trumpeter and maria all fully built for the final boss and this is why i have like 180 hours)
I've never played the switch version so I never knew this. That is absolutely wild they make you cough up the money for NSO when all it lets you do is look as school answers and fuse with random personas.
Alternate title “watch me bully the reaper”
Since P5 and P4 have Myraid Truths, albeit not for the player to use freely in 4, all three games have something that will reveal all.
*”By the Myriad Truths!”*
*”All will be revealed!”*
“The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed.”
And I thought i've made a broken Persona build with Kaguya Picaro and her Inviolable Beauty + Repel all
I think a top 5 Persona in 5 is Alice. Her weakness is that her cheese doesn’t work literally at all against bosses, but she will melt through mementos and palaces
I just here to say that crit boost and amp DO NOT stack with each other but they do stack with apt pupil. Also since Sumi didn’t get to be in anything other than royal I’m glad they made her persona the best in reload, makes it like an apology to her
how to get that white outfit for p5 🥲 can someone show me how to do that
Siegfried not even being mentioned in p3r is crazy
how do you get all the auto skills in p3r
Which izanagi no okami is the best there’s two dlc ones?
More like is the regular version better than the picario version? Sorry just got the game and was wondering
I think Picaro learns better skills but that's up for you to compare and decide for yourself.
Regular: aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p5r/personas/Izanagi-no-Okami/fissions
Picaro: aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p5r/personas/Izanagi-no-Okami%20Picaro/fissions
Isn't siegfried the best persona for base reload?
great video!
Where’s 1 and 2?
Of course Yoshitsune is in the list, a crit charged and boost amped Hassou Tobi is a nightmare for Shadows
Why apt pupil for messiah if it nulls phys?
You're thinking of Sharp Student, which lowers the odds of you being crit by the enemy. Apt Pupil boosts your own crit rate.
@@GIR177 ah yes,thx
Also according to data mines Crit rate boost is useless so swap that for Null/Drain/Repel Dark
Physical Messiah is cursed
Switch models looks so good wtf
How does bro have P4 music in P3R? 😞 Is there a mod I don’t know about plz help
It’s dlc
Bro just wanted to flex his fights with the reaper
WTF Atlus.
Building personas would be so much fun with a sacrifice/fusion mechanic!
The lack of that + Magic Ability not being transferable make min/maxing an achievement for those who are death inside.
like nocturne?
what about of izanagi no okami picaro
Which difficulty are you using ? I don't think it's possible to deal that much damage to the reaper in Merciless. My 99 STR Asura with Strike boost / amp only dealt about 4000 with a critical charged God's Hand. With Heat Riser and Debilitate on myself and the Reaper, respectively.
And we have "The Prince" for persona 6
Just so you know, I made the reaper a literal joke then I easily got everyone level 99 (thanks to Izanagi I was able to save on items and LOADS OF time, it’s also fun to play it too)
