Naoto is kinda like the persona version of the Dallas Cowboys. She does well against shitty regular shadows, but when the stakes are high during the boss battles she folds 😂
i'll give some justice to Yosuke, cuz dude clutched so many times in mine and my friend's playthrough. Dekaja alone is very useful and very low cost, considering how high is the SP cost for debuffs, he does respectable damage and Youthful Winds is a great setup starter for when you wanna use the protagonist mainly as a damage dealer, debuffer, or in case you didn't brought Chie. i say he's more jack of all trades than Naoto is.
I don't think she is and this is from someone who has yukiko as one of their favourites, remember p4 is a physical meta game where the physical skills out do the magical in numbers in most cases even with the elemental passives, and her magical damage has only a few scenarios of outdoing Chie and kanji when optimized offensively,
@@nightwish1453 This is true. Many people don't seem to know that Brave Blade can out damage Burning Petals. Both at 99 strength and magic. Brave Blade with slightly deal more damage.
@@LuisParson burning petals can outdamage yosuke’s brave blade but requires all the passives and mind charge to do so, fortunately it’s not too hard for yukiko to have all of those specially if you pair her with teddie
@@nightwish1453 Burning Petals doesn't out damage it. I tested both at 99 on Margaret, who doesn't resist physical and fire at the start. Yukiko even had both Fire Boost and Amp. Burning Petals is slightly weaker than Brave Blade. And lets not forget that Brave Blade can land critical hits too. Rise can give everyone Power Charge, so him too can power up both his physical and magic. What's make Brave Blade even better is, Yosuke learn it at level 69. Yukiko learns Fire Amp at 76. His Brave Blade will out damage Burning Petal even more, until she finally learns Fire Amp. You can beat every boss before anyone even reaches 76.
Naoto was my ace in the game's bonus dungeon (Hollow Forest). I built her as follows: Mind Charge, Megidolaon, Vorpal Blade, Heat Riser, Shield of Justice, and Invigorate 1-3. I also gave her the Chakra Ring so with that set up, she never runs out of SP.
While naoto and teddie might not have the offensive capabilities of the others, teddie’s buffs + shield of justice were godsends during my very hard izanagi only run (I was going into the final boss at level 69)
I really enjoyed your list. I absolutely agree with you with Yukiko. Not only is she the best support with skills like Divine Grace to boost her healing until you get the full heal skills, but she also absolutely nukes most fights with her fire skills. As much as I try to vary up my party to try out different synergies, if there was a big fight coming up, you know that Yukiko was always a lock for a slot.
This is my list with counting Yu and Rise: 1. Yukiko My favorite P4 Waifu: The strongest magic attacker and healer in the game, Burning Petals is a very strong fire attack, she can learn all the support skills in the game and she's the most underrated P4 Waifu.💖💖💖💖🌸🌸🌸🌸 2. Naoto: Megidolaon and Heat Riser are very useful and Shield of Justice can save you from a lethal attack. 3. Chie: Very strong physical skills, Dragon Hustle is the best unique skill in the game and good ice attacks. 4. Yosuke: He makes good damage, I think Youthful Wind is a good skill, it heals all the party and increase evasion and accuracy at the same time, it also has good physical and wind skills. 5. Kanji: His unique skill is not very useful, it only has chance to knock down or daze all the enemies, but it doesn't make damage and it's useless against bosses, his attacks make good damage, but only hits one target. 6. Teddie: I hate him as a character, but it has good ice attacks and support skills, but with Yukiko on the team you're not going to use him.
I’m literally in October of playing Vanilla P4 on Expert Mode and this video got me tempted to just drop it and restart with Golden. These buffs are insane lmao
I just like having Yosuke since he is a bro. If any of my characters get knocked down, he helps them up. If any of them get scared, he knocks some sense into them. None of my other party members really did that aside from Kanji every now and then. I like to play with the AI, and for me, Yosuke would always finish off any enemy Yu couldn't. He really was like a friend in that way, he always had your back, and that's why I could never take him off my team.
Naoto's coverage is the best from my experience. She is supposed to be an all rounder. However, if you equip her with an +4 Agility ring, she is very likely to go first followed by you or vice versa. This makes downing, grinding and farming easier. Plus, once you unlock Rise's Relaxing Wave, running out of SP easily stops being an issue.
Same I think constant buffs from Teddie and Naoto's Mind Charge + almighty + sp recovery make them worth it for both dungeon crawling and boss fights I've experimented with other lineups but this one just deals insane magic damage thanks to having the best 3 magic damage dealers always buffed, which is so good in boss fights
@@albertoperotti6510im pretty sure Naotos Magic Dps is outdone by Yosuke. As he has Higher MAG (assuming both Sl are Max) and gets an Amp for his Wind Skills. Naoto only has Mind Charge which kinda acts like a Boost but otherwise is very lacking.
@@helpihavebats6392 naoto is a strange case, she could actually be argued to be worse then Yosuke as she comes so late and your not demanded to use at all, in fact you can just have Yu cover her niches for you and you have a lot of prep to do that before she even enters the picture
Just finished my second P4G playthrough. I had a feeling Yosuke would be low on the list but I still can't help using him because he has the best battle voice lines and animations. Also when do you think you'll be doing the Shinji video?
I'm kinda confused on the ratings in this vid Naoto's damage is super low, it's only a hair higher than Teddie's if Naoto has absolutely perfect equipment like the ice boost gun and ice amp accessory. If Rise ever pops a charge for the party Teddie's damage jumps way ahead of hers and she never catches back up because his magic is better and his weapon/accessory aren't wasted. Yosuke's damage is also definitely not particularly low either. It ranges from slightly worse than Yukiko's to better than Yukiko's at different points in the game Yukiko's damage is on average higher than Yosuke's but I don't think it's a 5/5. Chie outdamages her at almost every point in the game and Kanji outdamages her even further. Teddie's support is rated 4/5 but his support is better than Yukiko's. The only things that Yukiko does better than Teddie are condense Amrita and Mediarahan into one slot at the very end of the game and Divine Grace access. Teddie has 2 more (de)buffs than her (since Marakukaja and Matarunda effectively do the same thing) and he's the only character to carry any defense debuff, meaning the MC won't have to do it himself and lose a lot of damage for it. Naoto's support is rated 3/5 but I think it's more like a 2 or lowkey potentially even a 1. Shield of Justice, Makarakarn, and Tetrakarn would be solid...in a hard game. But there just isn't anything scary enough to bother using them against; at best you have Margaret but with a stronger party (read: a party without Naoto) you wouldn't ever be in such danger to need to pop it. If you're using Chie or Teddie, Heat Riser does either literally nothing or is just an expensive Sukukaja. I don't think there's even a realistic use-case for it on the protagonist; the most important buff would definitely be attack up but the only way you would have 0 attack buffs in your party is if you were running specifically Yosuke/Yukiko/Naoto. I was gonna mention Chie's support rating too but her support's really awkward to gauge. Her support gets super good when she gets access to Dragon Hustle and at that point I would say it's a 5/5, especially since it's a one-turn setup. But for like 90% of the game her support is basically nonexistent, only being a single-target Tarukaja (lol) or Revolution which comes with its own risks.
I remember playing this for the first time, and realizing my romance/favorite character was broken, made my heart full I was so happy ❤ Love you Yukiko ❤
It's funny cause litterly my only playthrough of the game was my no attacking run, and the only useful party members were chie, naoto and teddie because of repeling, repeling, and healing
Teddie should be higher imo, the protag as a given does more damage than chie and kanji, and him having marakunda AND matarukaja allows him to raise his damage a ton. as for kamui miracle, just don't use it and you got access to great healing, great damage support, and decent ice damage
i will agree, I would say Kanji and Teddie are both tied as the best in the game, 3rd slot is a tossup between chie or yukiko. it's hard to say who's better so it's preferational as Chie is part of the phsyical meta basically giving some of the highest damage potential you can get however she does have some low points in the game with weird timing of her physical skills (though it's not as bad as people make it out to be) including the late game with Marie which is probably the worst case, she also lacks notable utility except the crit buff but it's not as a necessity then Kasumi's in 5. Yukiko even if paired with Teddie allowing her to go full offense it's only until Mind Charge she can outdo Yosuke offensively but in the lategame bosses her Magical attacks gets a weird legup without actually changing the damage output of magic with a lot of the lategame bosses having a slight phyiscal resistances and yukiko is the only magic character who can exceed the physical attackers in this very specific scenario, in everything else with mind charge she is 3rd best behind chie.
Great list, I agree with a lot of it. A few notes though: Yosuke endgame with the Blessed Hands accessory to boost healing actually makes pretty good support with Youthful Wind. Plus he’s pretty much never gonna be useless in a fight. He’s solid all around. But yeah he is hard to place over party members that have real stand out moments and skills. Naoto can technically do good damage with Bufudyne, she gets an Ice Boost gun and can equip an ice boosting accessory. Still not amazing damage but not bad, and it’s her best damage. Still low tier though, agree there. (Also side note I will not be tolerating the Divine Intervention from P3R slander, it’s not just that it protects you, it’s the turn saving potential it brings too from the healing and 2 walls on everyone that allows you to go all out and recklessly attack, but that’s not about P4G lol, yeah Shield of Justice is pretty mid) I’d put Teddie a bit higher. With healing, Matarukaja, Marakukaja and Marakunda he is amazing. Don’t underestimate Marakunda, it’s great for damage. Yukiko has another build option where she can drop Fire Boost and give her a fire boosting accessory. The game only takes 2 elemental boosts into account out of Fire Boost, Amp and accessory. With this she can also slot in something like Matarunda, Fire Break or maybe Mudoon if you’re feeling saucy. She misses out on Chakra Ring but that’s not too bad in all honesty with her SP pool. I prefer Matarunda but you take your pick. Yeah Yukiko is busted, which is wild for a game where physical is so broken. I’d say she outclasses the protagonist as a magic attacker, that’s insane for a party member.
Disagree with Naoto for one reason only: she doesnt need to focus on coverage! I left all Invigorate skills on her, and from then on Mind Charge + Megidolaon works on bosses and shadows. From then on, I gave her support skills like Tetra/Makarakarn and she works as a VERY long lasting support and damage dealer
Like you said, No party member is bad. You can enjoy a run with every combo of every character, but he's the absolute definition of good at all master of none. Heals? Teddie & Yukiko. Damage? Chie/Kanji & Yukiko. Coverage? Naoto / Protag. Though not much could compare to P4G Yukiko.
Personally i believe that other than Rise, Yukiko and MC, which work well in every team, every party member can be both good or outclassed depending on your lineup. For example, Yosuke. Pair him with Teddie, and you've got access to a budget dragon hustle, since Teddie covers Matarukaja and Marakukaja, and Yosuke covers Masukukaja along with a 50% heal. Chie and Kanji, paired with Yukiko or Teddie for healing, absolutely decimate random encounters without using almost any SP. Pair Yosuke and Naoto to destroy Golden Hands with almighty skills. Yukiko + Teddie makes basically every team unkillable. You all get what im saying. The game is so balanced that the effectiveness of a character is mostly determined by the team they're in, and the use you wanna give them.
Chie and kanji are good example to showcase how broken the physic elemental skills were in the p4g ,they have high damage scale, inflict more aliments than the magical damage skills does, also can be multiply via cirtial hit, despite they don't have any boost/amp skills,it is still kinda OP element though.
Hmmm.... 3 months after this went up, I found it.... and I gotta say, first Persona I ever beat. Second was actually P5R because I was doing wrong choice in P5 and... well, forgot to actually NG+... BUT, that's neither here nor there, I was actually checking this video to see where people sit in your opinion, and you're 100% correct, the cast (not counting Yu) is damn nearly equal. This was also the first time I learned about NG+ and I legitimately got the wrong answer when playing through it, I apparently missed a few hints because damn, when I went back through the game I saw ALL the signs I needed to see prior to the choice event. Got it right the second time, though! My first run was: Yu Yosuke Chie Yukiko Reason behind that team, well, I was familiar with how they all played since it IS the first full party layout you have. Also, here's why I didn't use the other members: Kanji- looked cool, and I wanted to use him. However, his starting stats are what drove me away from him. He hit hard but was slower than molasses compared to Chie (who was replaced by Kanji) and since I was playing normal and inoptomally, Best bud, Yosuke's kit didn't stand out as a glaring issue, his damage wasn't lacking and he either had an attack or a Garu spell to use, and I value speed, but nowadays, it's less of an issue. Back then, if you said "a slow character" I'd have said "then I'm not using them." Simple, dumb, but simple. Teddie: literally didn't know what Teddie was in the game his spell list looked weird and I replaced Yosuke with him, so he just felt like a worse Chie and Yukiko, which, is pretty true, and to an extent he is a meme character with his unique spell. So yeah, another case of "what do I do with this?" Naoto: I'd seen too many Instakills fail. The only reason I want a REMASTER, not a full Remake, just make it look nicer and add Kouha/Eiga moves to the game and give them to Naoto... like Naoto having access to light and dark non-instakills, um... yeah, seems like a much better "fishing for a kill" version that she is in the current iteration. Like, I was the most confused about Naoto for obvious reasons, and it ain't that Naoto is actually a girl, no it's simply that her kit just is confusing as a non-Megaten player at that time. I say that that way because I've now beaten Nocturne, SMT4/4A/5 as well as learned a lot from Persona 5 as well, including the Royal edition and after playing all iterations of 3, Naoto's kit is the only reason why I didn't use her and want her to get Kouha/Eiha moves in her kit if the eventual (sounds like at least 2-5 years) Remake, that I've seen rumored around. But yeah, I'm interested in trying some stuff in P4G armed with this new knowledge... specifically the re-releases of it since I can!
I'm still traumatized from how the team was in the original Persona 4. Chie was so bad, she pretty much had to be perma benched after her last galactic punt to cheese the mini boss in The Game. Naoto joined so late into the game and for so few dungeons she hardly had a use. Teddie and Kanji existing made Chie bottom tier near useless. Rise had like half of her abilities. The ideal party forms partway through the game with almost no reason to swap, being Yu, Kanji, Yukiko, and Teddie. Golden really fixed so much.
my endgame team always comprise of Yu, Teddie, Chie, Yukiko, with both Teddie and Yukiko as double support/healer. Yukiko's fire magic can be nice in random battles but I never understood the nuker argument, MC and Chie always take care of everything in my playthroughs offensively, especially once you get Yoshitsune, Trumpeter, Alice and Daisoujou, still top tier though along with Teddie who apparently is much hated 😢
When I got NaotonI kinda wanted to laugh of how broken her kit was. Access to all tyer 3 single damage elemental, blessed and dark instakill with boosts, skills to reflect both phisical and magic damage, mind charge and access to all mighty damage, and if she wasn't special enough she has no weaknesses. Funny how even with all that she got compleatly Outshine by Yukiko. Since the moment you get her to the final Boss Yukiko is the most usefull partty member in the game. Her magic and SP are insane, she can heal revive and cure ailments has fire amp and fire boost and a seveare fire skill, she dosn't even need mind charge to be the highest damage member of the team but you can give it to her aniway if you really want bosses to go boom!
This list honestly explains part of the reason why I have such a hard time picking between Yukiko and Rise as "best girl of persona 4" They were pretty nuts in the original, but golden made them EVEN MORE BUSTED....
Hoo boy, now I wanna put my toughts on them too lmao Yosuke: Actually quite good. His stats are quite balanced allowing him to deal some good damage be it physical or magical. Also access to Dekaja allows him to get you out of some iffy situations. Plus his awakened skill is quite decent, Mediarama plus Sukukaja is really solid actually Naoto: She suffers from a lot alongside being a late party member. Her stats are quite low meaning and she doesn't have elemental boosts for her skills. She is quite heavily equipment dependant for her builds meaning you gotta be pretty sure of what build you wanna go for her. Her strenghts lies on her not having weaknesses and being a jack of all trades meaning she is incredibly versatile to build. Plus, Invigorate allows her to never run out of SP. And her awakned skill is WAY too costly making it a lot of times not worth it. Teddie: Quite good really. What he lacks in character he makes up as a support. By having access to Matarukaja, Marakukaja, healing of both HP and Status Aliments he is amazing when it comes to support! He also have a really good Magic stat meaning he can dish out some ecxelent damage. And yeah, Kamui Miracle just sucks. Kanji: A better Chie. Altought having poor magic and lacking good multi target physical, he makes it up for everything else. Highest HP pool between all party members, highest natural Strenght and Endurance, access to both Regenerates 1 and 3 which stacks, Primal Force which is stronger than God's Hand, Power Charge which can be obtained asap if you do his Social Link, Elec Boost and Amp, also Matarukaja and Masukunda available. Kanji is an absolute beast that becomes a must ig you need solid Physical damage Chie: Not worth the hype. Very poor stats, very low Hp and Sp pool. She also takes a long while to learn good Physical skills meaning for the longest duration her Physical damage output for a long while is quite poor, meaning her natural Apt Pupil is not worth it a lot of times. She is also very equipment dependant, due to her extremelly low SP pool even with the Chakra Ring, Dragon Hustle end up being not worth it a lot of times. You need to know the game up and down to make the best out of her which is detrimental Yukiko: An absolute beast. Naturally highest Magic stat and SP pool. Access to Salvation. Her Burning Petals makes her an absolute powerhouse. Hell, even her secret weapon Suzaku Feather ages like wine due to being an increase on SP. The only downside I can think of her is that Mind Charge is not naturally or Social Link learned needed to be accessef via the Scooter Event and being her last skill learned. But even then its still worth it all the time! Yukiko is worth every fucking second of investment. Rise: Altought being the antichrist as a character she's an ecxelent Navi. She can buff the party in myriad ways and can be easily RNG manipulated so you can have her do the buffs you want. Also with a free aoe damage negation and ressurrection shr is quite good. And not talking about Yu because it's obvious
Yeah, can't fault this honestly! Every P4G playthrough becomes a question of "who am I going to pair with Chie & Yukiko this time?" 😂 Yukiko might genuinely be the strongest character in Persona 😂😂
For me my go to was chie, naoto, and yukiko, the reason is very simple naoto is my favorite female in the game, chie because of her punt skill and pretty strong aoe skull, and yukiko because she is just so useful, she comes into the power at the beginning of the game and never stops being useful, even if the enemy guards against fire damage she will keep the party alive, and side not I really think naoto is the best looking persona character in the series it's just the short hair and not over exaggerated looks that just works for her and her social events are fun, so we can see her more feminine side just sold me on her, the only other character I like just as much is futaba from persona 5, who's your favorite
My main team is naoto ( i always use the almighty character) Kanji (Physical damage dealer) Yukiko (In the party no matter what magic damage dealer and healer)
You're severely underestimating Teddie No need to base his viability on his shitty ultimate Persona skill, his support is unparalleled (Matarukaja and Marakukaja on a single character is silly). You overrate the 3rd tier skills in general since they come extremely late as well and are useful for a short period of time. In terms of game wide performance, Teddie is really good. The best team is Yukiko / Teddie / Kanji Chie's not the best. She's pretty good, but her magic offense is horrendous (sure she gets Bufudyne, but no boost skills unlike Kanji so they hit like paper), she spends a large portion of the game lacking good phys skills in the midgame, and Kanji gets Power Charge in Golden, completely outclassing her damage (since Primal Force has significantly higher base power than God Hand)
I think the main “trap” with Naoto, is that she gets a lot of stuff unique to her/is supposed to be her “specialty” (insta kill spells, shield of justice)… but you’re just better off not using them. Insta-kill spells are bad and shield of justice you should never need the better at the game you are. This actually gives you a lot more skill slots to work with (since she otherwise feels constrained). You can either go coverage for the dungeons (or for the actually not infrequent bosses that you can take advantage) or lean more into her support, or a mix of both. Her only real mandatory spells are Mind charge and megidolaon which is sufficient for bosses.
Only reason I still use Yosuke is because I didn’t wanna level up any new characters and Yosuke is the only one with Wind attacks and I never dedicated time to a wind focused persona, but the Chie Yukiko combo plus the MC I barely even need a 4th on hard mode because they just dominate so effortlessly
@@YandereGogeta That's actually kinda funny since for me it's the opposite. When I ask people they mostly say Yosuke is the best. But I guess determining the best and worst party members mainly focuses on a lot of factors which can change depending on who's talking.
I agree that Yosuke is good. Yosuke is actually better than Yukiko, when fighting Margaret at level 67 on very hard. I did that with Yosuke, Kanji and Teddie as my team. Yosuke with the Megaphone weapon is able to tank hits, in that fight at level 71. If you replace him with a level 71 or 72 Yukiko in this party, she's just going to die to the ice and wind attack. Doesn't matter if Yukiko's has the defense buff and Margaret attack is debuffed. And this is with the Reaper armor and God's Love too. Yosuke can learn Brave Blade faster than Yukiko can learn Fire Amp. Brave Blade with 99 strength deals more damage than Burning Petals with 99 magic. So his damage is superior in low level Margaret fights. Yukiko won't even have Fire Amp in the low 70s. Yukiko doesn't have an AOE buff to protect the party, like Yosuke's Youthful Wind. A team of Yosuke, Kanji and Teddie can Heat Riser the whole party. Many people say Yukiko, Kanji and Teddie is the best party. But I don't see that team doing well at fighting Margaret at level 60-70s. Due to Yukiko being fragile and has no equipment to fix that. Anyway those are some of the reasons why I think Yosuke is good. Many people don't know how to optimize him.
@@Gamecliparchives The guy in the video even said it himself he doesn't know how to use him. Which proves his knowledge of the game is still very limited. This tier list isn't meant to be taken seriously though. Because everyone is broken at level 99.
Yukiko is someone I consistently see ranked highly on people's tier lists... but why? Her damage actually isn't that good (yes - Amagidyne even with mind charge + boost + amp isnt actually that busted given how bad magic is in P4), her support is ass other than HP heals (which Teddie can do while offering better support) and revives/misc healing (which items can do) and so I really don't think she's that good. The most telling thing about her damage output? Most late game bosses have a hidden 50% resistance to physical skills. Despite that, Kanji with Primal Force and Chie with God's Hand still do more damage to bosses than boost+amp Amagidyne. I dunno, she's not bad, her damage output isn't garbage by any means, but i cant really put her higher than like B tier.
Idk all the actual nitty gritty details in terms of actual percentages or what have you, but through my experience with the game, she’s always carried my playthroughs from start to finish. Main reason I prefer her for support over teddie honestly is if I need a defense buff or something like that I’ve always used it on Narukami, so having Yukiko just heal is all I need really, and she did more damage than Teddie. I also just don’t like Teddie as a character so I’m biased a bit lmfao Also magic in P4 is absolute garbage yeah, but idk even if Chie and Kanji were doing more damage, which they prolly were in a lot of respects as you mentioned, she was still going berserk with damage so idk. I remember during the final boss for one run I just made Narukami the healer and let her do the damage, and she did well. So yeah idk I think she’s pretty good don’t know what else to say other than that haha. Also important to note I play without using items generally so I don’t tend to involve those in the discussions
To be honest, Magic in Persona overall is pretty bad... If they added the Piercing attacks from SMT or at the very least added the skill Impaler's Animus (SMT V Vengeance version) then Magic would be so much better
@@infernape2010 magic in p4 is genuinely superior, most bosses in the mid-late game has physical resistances so magic is basically needed late game, and yeah pierce skills would’ve made 4 more enjoyable but there’s always the break skills ig
Its very hard being a Yosuke fan 🥲🥲 i tried very hard to keep him in my team, but then i gave up when fighting the baby boss (forgot his name) and never put him back again on the team..... i feel ashamed! i shouldve stick with him to the end even if it was harder for me to play 😭😭😭
Saying that, my team at the end of the game was Yukiko (i switched Yosuke for her) Kanji and Naoto. in normal enemies fights i just spammed mamudoon with Naoto and like 90% of the time the fight would finish !!
@@takirakirakira Yeah I have a video of it. It requires good preparation. I have replayed the game many times and my party was always Yosuke, Kanji and Teddie. This is a strong party when used right.
I am currently at the mid point of my first playthrough (just beat mitsuo) and without even knowing which characters were better than others and just happened to end up with my party being chie, yukiko, and kanji. I loterally just thought, i need heals, i need bae, and i need good physical damage, and it all worked out
Isn't it crazy that the P3R video is almost 4 months old? We pretty much agree on a lot here with only 1 major disagreement. Here's mine: 6. Yosuke: This shows that in P4G there's no bad party members unlike P3 where Koromaru and Junpei are pretty bad and OG P4 where Naoto might is pretty much useless. Unfortunately for him he's decent at everything in the game; but why have someone who's only decent at everything when I can have a team that's great at one or 2 things and when they come together are (imo) the best team in the game. The first 2 on the list aren't bad; they're both decent party members and are better than most party members from P3 OG(s) but they're just overshadowed by the big 3. 5. Naoto: Golden definitely saved her when it came to how useful she is in battle. Unfortunately she still isn't great here. Personally I thing how well a party member does during bosses are usually the most important thing. Anyone can knock down enemies and to give her credit she's really good at that, but bosses is where she struggles. She has a gun that gives her ice boost so she has something ig but when 3 other party members who use magic have boost and amp that just looks kind of pathetic ngl. Shield of Justice is really only useful for Margret and I'll say this again when/if we get to Violet in P5R your usefulness is put in to question if you're only really useful when you beat the 100 hour game, play most of it again, and is useful for that one boss (it also sucks as a DP in fighting games). Personally I've used her in both OG (sadly) and Golden cuz she's my favorite IT member behind Yukiko and Kanji but she just isn't super great. 4. Chie: I almost placed her in 5th but she gets 4th because her 3rd tier skill is actually useful even if flawed. She's solid for the most part there's just 2 things that hold her back for me. Dragon Hustle is pretty good it's just a shame that she's one that gets it. She doesn't really have bunch of SP so after like 2 uses she's going to need to recharge someway. This one is more major, She has awful defense. Surprisingly she doesn't have the worse endurance (that goes to Naoto) but she might as well have the worst endurance as she's a physical attacker, an attacker that uses HP instead of SP. Sure I'm notentirely fond of using Yukari (OG(s) and Reload) and partially Mona because they're defense isn't good but at least they don't specialize in physical. Personally I've had it to where there's been a number of close calls or straight up deaths when it comes to Chie. Besides these 2 she's good but she gets outclassed by Kanji imo. Now for what I call the big 3. Basically these are the characters I think are the best and are on a different playing field than the other 3. I'm ordering them but you can swap them around and I won't bat an eye. 3. Kanji: I'd say it's way more debatable in OG but in Golden now that he gets power charge? nah Kanji to me is better than Chie. He's slower than her but in exchange nearly maxed strength, most endurance and HP means he takes a lot of damage while dealing a lot damage. Also having matarukaja is useful especially if you don't have Teddie. 3rd tier ability (like most of the others) is lack luster but everything else makes up for it. 2. Yukiko: So first off I'm appreciative my favorite character is good. I mean I'd use her if she wasn't good but being debatably the best is super cool :). Anyways Yukiko is broken. Can be your healer but is way more useful as magical attacker that can heal when Teddie for some reason can't or you need healing and to get rid of aliments in the same turn. Amagidyne is by far and wide is the most useful 3rd tier ability in Golden and i'd say it might be more useful some times than the Ryuji's and Ann's in Royal. It's not based on RNG (unlike Kanji, Teddie), it's not redundant or overkill (unlike Yosuke, Yusuke, Makoto, Haru.), She can properly use it with her SP pool (unlike Chie and Yusuke), It can be useful in a NG playthrough (Unlike Naoto), and she doesn't get it right before the final boss (Unlike Yoshizawa and Akechi). Not much else to say really. 1. Teddie: matarukaja + marakukaja + marakunda. It's similar to what made Aki so broken in P3 all he needs is these 3 skills everything else is a neat bonus. Healing is good, damage is good, not bad endurance. This is where my disagreement comes in. Yeah Kamui Miracle is garbage but like.... just don't equip it. It sucks that he has the worst 3rd tier skill but none of the others besides Yukiko's are all that great either. I especially don't think it's a big deal when the rest of his kit is fantastic.
@@spinballproduction9678 Junpei in older P3s wasn’t even bad though. Kill Rush (lv25) has 110 power 1-2x Mitsuru is stuck with Bufula that has 100 power (lv21) and only gets Ice Boost at lv45. Five levels later though Junpei gets Blade of Fury (lv50) which is 100 power 2-3x which means it’s literally better than Bufula with Boost and Amp even with minimum hits.
For Chie in Terms of Crit Rate Kanji may actually end up having better Crit with Omega Drive as Gods Hand is only a 15% Crit and Primal Force is 25% Crit. Though i guess that depends on how 53 LUCK compares go 36 LUCK (+1 Max SL). Though Generally Kanjis Primal Force outdamages Chies Gods Hand with the massive STR difference and Primal Forces 1100 power to Gods Hands 800
@@helpihavebats6392 For Chie you need to keep Death Rain (I refuse to call it Rainy Death) or Black Spot because those are her central crut moves but even without those she crits pretty consistently for me.
Personally I’d rank teddie and kanji a little higher. While chie does have one of the best skills with dragon hustle, she learns this very late and is a bit too glass canon with her lower hp and poor resource management compared to kanji to be reliable in the earlier parts of the game. Teddie is also THE support character of the game, especially in base p4 where yukiko has less utility. I like to use both Yukiko and Teddie with Kanji. Teddie for the support and healing, which frees up Yukiko for her absolutely massive fire damage (not having to worry about support as much with her lets me keep fire break which means she’s almost always guaranteed to be able to do damage), then kanji for physical skills, he’s also good for emergency item healing if Teddie and yukiko go down due to his high hp. Yosuke does suck tho his move pool is awful 😂
Anyway absolutely no one asked but I do think it’d be good to rebalance the characters in a potential p4 remake. Reduce Naoto back to just light/dark skills like what she had in base p4, but add the p5 light/dark skills so she’s better for bosses. I actually don’t mind her resource management being on the poorer side because megido can be so useful but I’d maybe increase her sp a touch to account for her mainly being a magic attacker. (Granted if they add the physical types she’d be the only one with gun so maybe not) In turn maybe give her “can learn all single target magic types” to yosuke, and give him a few extra buffing skills along with making him the fastest party member so you can do some buff or weakness plays at the start of the round. Gives him much more utility without making him too overpowered by reducing him to primarily single target skills. Yukiko can pretty much stay the same, the only way I can think to nerf her would be to either lower her hp or defence even more, or to lower her sp so that you have to resource manage her a little more. Maybe swap around when she learns certain skills so people have more reason to try Teddie out when they unlock him. Teddie can also pretty much stay the same tbh, his lower magic stat makes him less useful as a healer compared to Yukiko but he’s more versatile with his buffing spells. I’d maybe make him a bit less squishy so you have more reason to use him over Yukiko but his skill set is pretty damm good as it is. The only other thing maybe would be to swap his electric weakness for something else like a light or dark weakness, him and Yosuke being a special attack pair but sharing a weakness is stupid as you won’t want to bring 2 party members with the same weakness into a fight. Kanji is another one I’d keep the same, I don’t think he’s super overpowered due to most of his phys skills being single target and his magic being pretty bad. It’s just his high def/hp that makes him feel strong. He could maybe do with a few extra electric skills to make up for him being the only electric party member but eh he’s good as is. Chie gets some of the best skills in the game but her hp/def is too weak to make good use of them. All she needs is a bit of a buff to them and she’s all set. I think her learning good ice skills late is good for again giving people a reason to try Teddie but I’d potentially give her a few extra multi target skills or make her more critical hit based like junpei in p3r to balance that out a bit more
In my years of of playing this game. I always make my party member the damage dealer and myself as the debuffer or support. Cuz yeaa i'm bored if my damage is the best. And the early squad is my perma team if i aint bored when exploring. Yosuke, chie, yukiko. The queen can help me to heal party.
i almost clicked off the video where i saw yosuke was placed dawg.... i agree with the placements except move kanji above chie cause i never use chie outside of when i didnt have a choice lol, if you ever play persona q i'd like to see a party member rank for those lol
Naoto allowed me to kill Margaret without insane preparations. Shield of Justice nullified her 1-shot skills. She is 3rd place for me, with Yukiko and Chie being 1 and 2.
There is technically no canon romance in Persona but there are a few that are heavily implied to be Canon and for 4 it is Rise. so I don't mind doing her social link every time. Seriously she is ridiculously broken
@@joopvanhedel1372 Eh, P4 is way too neutral compared to P3 and P5R who have girls being shoved in your face in an honest romantic fashion compared to Rise who is really just that one archetype in shows who is that human simp Amy The Hedgehog type of girl in a comedy slice of life Anime that would easily get ignored, but yeah she is busted.
@@ShadowOfMassDestruction If P4 gets a remake and yes even if P4 doesn't need a remake I think it will probably get a remake so that the modern trilogy is up to date to modern standards. Then I think that social episodes of Reload will also be in the P4 remake, including the Bonuses in combat. Rise will be even more busted
I think ignoring golden which they do push Marie, with Vanilla they do subtly push Yukiko on you and narratively it makes sense in a lot of ways even how the anime giving them a lot of chemistry of being the 2 conventionally attractive weirdos. Rise's flirtyness is more of shtick then it going anywhere
@@nightwish1453 Yes it can go either way with the P4 protagonist, it is not as clear as Aigis from 3 and kasumi from 5 royal. The P4 protagonist has almost no personality or backstory especially compared to the P3 en P5 protagonisten. they tried to fix that in the anime but they gave him a bit too much personality. My money is still on Rise but it can go either way. Side note despite that protagonist problem the P4 anime is pretty good as are the 4 P3 movies. Let's hope the P6 anime isn't going to be like the P5 anime
I'm confused why everyone thinks Naoto is one of the worst teammates. She was permanently kept on my team when I got her and I didn't see any reason to use Chie or Yoskue.
Short answer Shes Frail, doesn’t do good damage on both Mag/Phys and offers next to no decent Support. Her strengths aren’t relevant by the time she joins Long answer For Magic She has the worst MAG of any decent Magic Dps Character. Her Megidolaon has very underwhelming Base power in a game where enemies can Resist Almighty and has no Boosts/Amps on top of extremely high Sp cost. Her variety of Magic is good but a well built team already covers alot while doing more damage with those Skills. For Phys She has the worst END and low Hp making her frail so she doesn’t want to be using them and even when she does her middling STR and her Phys Skills dont really compare to anyone else. For Defense and Support While she doesn’t have a weakness her low Hp and END kind of mitigates that benefit as now everything can kill her in a couple hits rather than one Element doing it. Her Karns can be replicated easily with Plants (not that they were to great in the first place) and Tetraja is extremely niche. Shield of Justice is her only decent Support but its expensive and not necessary most of the time.
@@ZoofyZoof could you point out where and why its wrong? I have a her Level 99 Stats and level up Skill List on hand. What I said is true. Stats (including Max Social Link) HP 527 SP 454 STR 66 MAG 68 END 48 AGI 72 LCK 49 These are very awkward stats. Yosuke Teddie and Yukiko have better MAG and Magic Skills while Yosuke, Chie and Kanji do better Phys.
@@helpihavebats6392 It's wrong because in my experience she was very useful. Her stats aren't that low in comparison to others especially with her special gun that increases all stats by 5. Her high coverage is very useful, she's great for slaying golden hands, mind charge is always great, she is way more useful than chie and other guy. I used Naoto, biker guy, and Teddy as my team. Super good
@@ZoofyZoof The thing is her Stats are not the whole problem. Her +5 Stats doesn’t solve her issues with having no Damage Boost Passives. This a pretty massive thing to not have and it mean’s literally everyone outdamages her and no Mind Charge isn’t enough to salvage this. When you get her you are already done with most of the game so a generalist Party Member doesn’t have much value. P4 has the least amount of Elements so any team already covers half before Mc is Involved. Physical Skills are absurdly strong in comparison to Magic so you can put Teddie and Chie in the same team and they’ll more efficiently clear fights as Chie is great at getting Crits with Apt Pupil + Aoe Skills. Yosuke is stronger both Physically and Magically than Naoto along with being fairly tanky and actually has usable Support in Dekaja and Masukukaja. You should already have Megidola and Auto-Masuku when Naoto joins. Golden Hand isn’t a worthwhile niche.
Am I the only one who thinks Chie sucks? 😬 Seriously who thought it was good idea high HP cost physical skills to a Glass Cannon who can die in one hit? Not to mention the BS with Dragon Hustle. Also people say that she has good Agility. Really? I couldn’t tell due to her missing a lot of her attacks.
Okay here's my opinion on your placements #6 Yeah I agree Yosuke is the weakest party member in the game. The problem with him is that he is a jack of all trades in a game where everyone else is exceptional at one role. Wrecking normal enemies? Chie and Naoto do it so much better and with ease. Bosses? Yukiko and Kanji are so supremely better at wrecking bosses because damage wise he can't compare to them. Support? Teddie has full party healing, buffs, debuffs and even alignment healing. And that's the problem with Yosuke #5 Okay in my opinion from #5 to #1 everything is interchangeable it really just depends on you and I understand why you placed naoto hama and mudo do nothing against bosses and while shield of justice is amazing it's so costly that the chakra ring on her is a requirement. You forgot about the gun that gives her ice boost. #4 Okay sure his damge is pretty underwhelming if you focus more on support with him and kamui miracle is a gimmick at best. But if you do focus on support Teddie is the best in that field bar none the only thing he lacks is salvation but he compassionates by having so many buffs and debuffs. Matarukaja,Marakukaja and Marakunda #3 You pretty much summarised what makes Kanji good he is the best party member against bosses bar none yes Primal force hits that hard and vile assaults damage is cracked if you down an enemy. If he had something like myriad arrows I would say he is number 1 no questions asked. #2 Chie huh okay dragon hustle is good but it requires her to have the chakra ring which hinders your magic users. This alongside galactic punt is why I think she is better against normal enemies than bosses and no Chie cannot outclass Kanji's single target damage that how strong primal force is. #1 Best girl is number one wooo yeah like Kanji its also very simple why she is so good. Mind charge+ insane fire damage with burning petals even without mind charge+ salvation yeah. At first you will struggle managing her skillset but when she gets everything she needs she will make sure you will never want to bench her.
In P4G, if you max the social links of the party, during the second last dungeon, you have a final event that for each that awakens them to their 3rd tier ultimate Persona
Kanji is better at physical attacks. Teddie is better at ice. They definitely outclass her. Dragon Hustle is overrated. Without Chakra Ring she can only do it once. If you equip the Chakra Ring then she won't have God's Love. To boost her damage and endurance. But this is a level 99 tier list it doesn't matter.
Naoto is kinda like the persona version of the Dallas Cowboys. She does well against shitty regular shadows, but when the stakes are high during the boss battles she folds 😂
@@Berty4ever_ I’ve been thinking about this comment all day so I had to pin it
@@YandereGogeta Thanks man. The Eagles fan in me came up with the analogy 😂
We still dem boyz tho 😂😝 and Naoto is still best girl for me! ❤
i'll give some justice to Yosuke, cuz dude clutched so many times in mine and my friend's playthrough.
I support your list. Yukiko is completely busted in all ways.
Fr😂❤😊
My favorite team to use is Chie (the bae), Yukiko (the side piece), & Kanji (the bromie) I call them Team "Nah, I'd win."
Yukiko the side piece is wild 😭
more like team lady baby
Went through all the party members throughout my game and ended up finishing with the og group Yukiko Chie and Yosuke which I feel was kinda cool
Mine is Chie (the meat grinder), Teddie (the goofy goober), and Naoto (best playable girl)
Team: likes men
While naoto and teddie might not have the offensive capabilities of the others, teddie’s buffs + shield of justice were godsends during my very hard izanagi only run (I was going into the final boss at level 69)
So I see you play with the amagidyne mod, you are truly a based individual
I really enjoyed your list. I absolutely agree with you with Yukiko. Not only is she the best support with skills like Divine Grace to boost her healing until you get the full heal skills, but she also absolutely nukes most fights with her fire skills. As much as I try to vary up my party to try out different synergies, if there was a big fight coming up, you know that Yukiko was always a lock for a slot.
This is my list with counting Yu and Rise:
1. Yukiko My favorite P4 Waifu: The strongest magic attacker and healer in the game, Burning Petals is a very strong fire attack, she can learn all the support skills in the game and she's the most underrated P4 Waifu.💖💖💖💖🌸🌸🌸🌸
Finally, yukiko gets the recognition she deserves
I’m literally in October of playing Vanilla P4 on Expert Mode and this video got me tempted to just drop it and restart with Golden. These buffs are insane lmao
@@vietnguyen2293 Oh yeah the stuff they added in Golden was nutty
I never knew you could teach Yukiko Mind Charge from the bike events 👀
I also learned that too, it changes her playstyle alot, as she can now dish out some serious damage.
yosuke my goat😔 hes my fav character so im dedicated to using him in every run, even if hes kinda ass
lol found your channel yesterday from that P3R ranking vid
It is wild how big that video got. I hope you enjoyed that one and this video!
My endgame team was Naoto, Teddie and Yukiko
Same
I think constant buffs from Teddie and Naoto's Mind Charge + almighty + sp recovery make them worth it for both dungeon crawling and boss fights
I've experimented with other lineups but this one just deals insane magic damage thanks to having the best 3 magic damage dealers always buffed, which is so good in boss fights

They let Yukiko cook🔥🔥🔥 (they really shouldn’t have been..)
Bro dont put the PROTAGONIST of course he is going to be on s
He’s a party member and the goat so I gotta mention him
I'm kinda confused on the ratings in this vid
Naoto's damage is super low, it's only a hair higher than Teddie's if Naoto has absolutely perfect equipment like the ice boost gun and ice amp accessory. If Rise ever pops a charge for the party Teddie's damage jumps way ahead of hers and she never catches back up because his magic is better and his weapon/accessory aren't wasted.
Yosuke's damage is also definitely not particularly low either. It ranges from slightly worse than Yukiko's to better than Yukiko's at different points in the game
Yukiko's damage is on average higher than Yosuke's but I don't think it's a 5/5.
I remember playing this for the first time, and realizing my romance/favorite character was broken, made my heart full I was so happy ❤
Love you Yukiko ❤
the heartake, heartbreak background in the beginning is fantastic 11/10
A few notes though:
Yosuke endgame with the Blessed Hands accessory to boost healing actually makes pretty good support with Youthful Wind.
(Also side note I will not be tolerating the Divine Intervention from P3R slander, it’s not just that it protects you, it’s the turn saving potential it brings too from the healing and 2 walls on everyone that allows you to go all out and recklessly attack, but that’s not about P4G lol, yeah Shield of Justice is pretty mid)
I’d put Teddie a bit higher.
I'd personally swap Yosuke and Naoto but other than that perfect list. Don't underestimate Ma(Rakunda) as a skill, its really powerful
Personal experience:I actually beat half of the game using only ose i fuse in July on my first playthough
Good to see my 2 favorite girls being the best party members, Chie and Yukiko
you are correct i hate you with all my heart due to you putting naoto so low she is my wife and favorite body pillow
My first run was:
Yu
Yosuke
Chie
Yukiko
Reason behind that team, well, I was familiar with how they all played since it IS the first full party layout you have.
Also, here's why I didn't use the other members:
Kanji- looked cool, and I wanted to use him.
So yeah, another case of "what do I do with this?"
Naoto: I'd seen too many Instakills fail.
My man is COOKING with these recent uploads
Im trying my best out here homie 🙏
my endgame team always comprise of Yu, Teddie, Chie, Yukiko, with both Teddie and Yukiko as double support/healer.
This list honestly explains part of the reason why I have such a hard time picking between Yukiko and Rise as "best girl of persona 4"
They were pretty nuts in the original, but golden made them EVEN MORE BUSTED....
Hoo boy, now I wanna put my toughts on them too lmao
Yosuke: Actually quite good. His stats are quite balanced allowing him to deal some good damage be it physical or magical. Also access to Dekaja allows him to get you out of some iffy situations. Plus his awakened skill is quite decent, Mediarama plus Sukukaja is really solid actually
Naoto: She suffers from a lot alongside being a late party member.
Kanji is an absolute beast that becomes a must ig you need solid Physical damage
Chie: Not worth the hype. You need to know the game up and down to make the best out of her which is detrimental
Yukiko: An absolute beast.
Every P4G playthrough becomes a question of "who am I going to pair with Chie & Yukiko this time?" 😂
Yukiko might genuinely be the strongest character in Persona 😂😂
My main team is
naoto ( i always use the almighty character)
Kanji (Physical damage dealer)
Yukiko (In the party no matter what magic damage dealer and healer)
teddys matarujaka carry’s half the game
My favorite team is Yukiko, Teddie, and Kanji. They’re my both my favorite characters and have my favorite skill sets in the game.
You're severely underestimating Teddie
No need to base his viability on his shitty ultimate Persona skill, his support is unparalleled (Matarukaja and Marakukaja on a single character is silly). You overrate the 3rd tier skills in general since they come extremely late as well and are useful for a short period of time. In terms of game wide performance, Teddie is really good.
The best team is Yukiko / Teddie / Kanji
Chie's not the best.
3:20 I swear I’ve never seen Naoto learn ziodyne in my playthroughs. Does she learn it from a bike trip or something?
Yeah from Bike Ride 2 according to the Fusion Calc
I think Teddie is one of the best party members just because he can cover buffs, debuffs and healing so that Yukiko can focus on damage.
To this day I regret benching Yukiko and Chie on my first playthrough
Only reason I still use Yosuke is because I didn’t wanna level up any new characters and Yosuke is the only one with Wind attacks and I never dedicated time to a wind focused persona, but the Chie Yukiko combo plus the MC I barely even need a 4th on hard mode because they just dominate so effortlessly
I swear, whenever you see a P4G party member tier list, Yosuke is either the best or the worst on it.
@@Gamecliparchives I have no idea who is putting Yosuke as the best. Most people I talk to agree he’s the worst
@@LuisParson So glad to see Yosuke love for once! People who say he's the worst really just don't know how to actually use him.
I also just don’t like Teddie as a character so I’m biased a bit lmfao
Also magic in P4 is absolute garbage yeah, but idk even if Chie and Kanji were doing more damage, which they prolly were in a lot of respects as you mentioned, she was still going berserk with damage so idk. I remember during the final boss for one run I just made Narukami the healer and let her do the damage, and she did well.
So yeah idk I think she’s pretty good don’t know what else to say other than that haha. Also important to note I play without using items generally so I don’t tend to involve those in the discussions
Ikr
she has a severe aoe, you can get her magic to 99, and she has fire amp and boost?
To be honest, Magic in Persona overall is pretty bad... If they added the Piercing attacks from SMT or at the very least added the skill Impaler's Animus (SMT V Vengeance version) then Magic would be so much better
@@infernape2010 magic in p4 is genuinely superior, most bosses in the mid-late game has physical resistances so magic is basically needed late game, and yeah pierce skills would’ve made 4 more enjoyable but there’s always the break skills ig
It should've been called Amagidyne from the beginning.
I have beaten that baby boss with Yosuke many times on very hard. My level was in the 20s.
No way i couldve done that at level 20 something lol, that was one the hardest battles for me along with shadow teddie
Here's mine:
I would switch kanji and Yukiko around and have kanji at the top and I think it's on point
@@spinballproduction9678 Junpei in older P3s wasn’t even bad though.
Kill Rush (lv25) has 110 power 1-2x
Mitsuru is stuck with Bufula that has 100 power (lv21) and only gets Ice Boost at lv45. Five levels later though Junpei gets Blade of Fury (lv50) which is 100 power 2-3x which means it’s literally better than Bufula with Boost and Amp even with minimum hits.
Honestly, I think Rise is the best nav. In terms of ability. I like the others' personalities better
(Granted if they add the physical types she’d be the only one with gun so maybe not)
In turn maybe give her “can learn all single target magic types” to yosuke, and give him a few extra buffing skills along with making him the fastest party member so you can do some buff or weakness plays at the start of the round.
I think her learning good ice skills late is good for again giving people a reason to try Teddie but I’d potentially give her a few extra multi target skills or make her more critical hit based like junpei in p3r to balance that out a bit more
I saw naoto as more of a weakness exploiter by giving you a bunch of all out attacks
My favorite team for bosses is Yukiko, Kanji and Naoto, while for Reapers it would be Chie, Kanji and either Teddie or Naoto.
I usually used Yosuke replacing Healer for last part. Wind of Youth + Healing Acc do enough for me. The rest of my party is Kanji and Chie
Pls don't nerf Yukiko in Persona 4 ReRun...
on my first playthrough i never took off yukiko and kanji out of my party
Yosuke should have gotten debilitate as a bike skill, dude cant do anything on Boss fights besides buffing evasion
Yu is the goat.
i almost clicked off the video where i saw yosuke was placed dawg.... i agree with the placements except move kanji above chie cause i never use chie outside of when i didnt have a choice lol, if you ever play persona q i'd like to see a party member rank for those lol
Me endorse this video
I was shook at how broken Rise is as nav when I first played through P4G. Fuuka and Futaba pale by comparison.
Naoto allowed me to kill Margaret without insane preparations. Shield of Justice nullified her 1-shot skills. She is 3rd place for me, with Yukiko and Chie being 1 and 2.
Looks like I need to run this team in New game plus after I finally beat the damn true ending
Teddy better be top tier 😅
Yea the moment i saw this vid i knew yukiko was gonna be at the top.
I’ve beat Margaret with only Yu and Yukiko 🙏🏼
My team was kanji chie and yukiko
W
Naoto the goat idc
I used yukiko, teddie and chie the most
There is technically no canon romance in Persona but there are a few that are heavily implied to be Canon and for 4 it is Rise. so I don't mind doing her social link every time.
I ran Kanji, Yukiko and Naoto.
my team is always: yosuke, kanji and teddie
The protag is the strongest? You mean Yoshitsune?
I'm confused why everyone thinks Naoto is one of the worst teammates.
She was permanently kept on my team when I got her and I didn't see any reason to use Chie or Yoskue.
Short answer
Shes Frail, doesn’t do good damage on both Mag/Phys and offers next to no decent Support. Her strengths aren’t relevant by the time she joins
Long answer
For Magic
She has the worst MAG of any decent Magic Dps Character. Her Megidolaon has very underwhelming Base power in a game where enemies can Resist Almighty and has no Boosts/Amps on top of extremely high Sp cost. Her variety of Magic is good but a well built team already covers alot while doing more damage with those Skills.
For Phys
She has the worst END and low Hp making her frail so she doesn’t want to be using them and even when she does her middling STR and her Phys Skills dont really compare to anyone else.
For Defense and Support
While she doesn’t have a weakness her low Hp and END kind of mitigates that benefit as now everything can kill her in a couple hits rather than one Element doing it. Her Karns can be replicated easily with Plants (not that they were to great in the first place) and Tetraja is extremely niche. Shield of Justice is her only decent Support but its expensive and not necessary most of the time.
@@helpihavebats6392 None of that is true at all, she was probably the most useful teammate that I had.
@@ZoofyZoof could you point out where and why its wrong? I have a her Level 99 Stats and level up Skill List on hand. What I said is true.
Stats (including Max Social Link)
HP 527
SP 454
STR 66
MAG 68
END 48
AGI 72
LCK 49
These are very awkward stats.
Super good
@@ZoofyZoof
The thing is her Stats are not the whole problem.
Golden Hand isn’t a worthwhile niche.
based tierlist
Appreciate it homie
Am I the only one who thinks Chie sucks? 😬
Seriously who thought it was good idea high HP cost physical skills to a Glass Cannon who can die in one hit? Not to mention the BS with Dragon Hustle. Also people say that she has good Agility. Really? I couldn’t tell due to her missing a lot of her attacks.
Okay here's my opinion on your placements
#6 Yeah I agree Yosuke is the weakest party member in the game. And that's the problem with Yosuke
#5 Okay in my opinion from #5 to #1 everything is interchangeable it really just depends on you and I understand why you placed naoto hama and mudo do nothing against bosses and while shield of justice is amazing it's so costly that the chakra ring on her is a requirement.
Matarukaja,Marakukaja and Marakunda
#3 You pretty much summarised what makes Kanji good he is the best party member against bosses bar none yes
Primal force hits that hard and vile assaults damage is cracked if you down an enemy.
NOW PERSONAAA 5 please
why do they have a different different personas, is cuz they are maxxed sl and lvl 99?
In P4G, if you max the social links of the party, during the second last dungeon, you have a final event that for each that awakens them to their 3rd tier ultimate Persona
thank for the explanation i wasnt aware they had a 3rd form, apart from their maxxed SL (2nd form)@@YandereGogeta
Imo Chie is worst in the game due to being outclassed by kanji
@@mythalieon7829 Interesting
Kanji is better at physical attacks. Teddie is better at ice. They definitely outclass her. Dragon Hustle is overrated. Without Chakra Ring she can only do it once. If you equip the Chakra Ring then she won't have God's Love. To boost her damage and endurance. But this is a level 99 tier list it doesn't matter.

Yukiko warmed the bench the whole game ☠️☠️☠️ Teddie forever
