I just tried a new relay but it still won't charge. I bypassed the relay and it will charge. I tested the red & blue wires and got 47.9 volts. The fuse in the yellow socket tests good. What should I try next? Thanks,
@@glennr9913 watch the video I sent and bypass the on board computer and see what it does. Because if you have battery voltage on the wires going to the relay and it don’t click and you replaced the relay. The only thing left is the on board computer

@@Golfcartwhisperer Its a 1997 and what its worth..the cart runs still (batteries are charged enough still) and I did your second test totally bypassing the relay and I got 50 v on my meter.
What if when I by pass the relay and touch the black wires together it jumps to 3 for a second and then back to 0 but is still making the humming noise?
I have this exact charger..My problem is charger seems to work, batteries are all charged to 8.49 volts with slight variations but none are below 8 volts, fuse has continuity, but battery meter on golf cart doesnt show full charge anymore. It used to read green bar at the full level. Three days ago it was sitting on the 3rd green bar, drove the cart up the driveway and it quickly dropped to yellow then red. Plugged it back in to charge overnight and meter only shows 1 bar but battery voltages are all reading a little above 8 volts to 8.49.volts. Any ideas what could be wrong? Golf cart drives amd seems to have plenty of power but i havent tried driving it until it just wont move anymore to see if the batteries are draining fast. Battery fluid level was a little low so i added distilled water to correct levels and cleaned off A LOT of corrosion around most of the terminals. Total voltage reading is 50.12 volts but battery meter still only shows first green bar.
@@GolfcartwhispererNo tow switch, I have disconnected all the batteries, cleaned off all corrosion, put a light amount of dielectric grease to prevent and put it all back together and charged for 3 days battery meter showing 3 bars.
Hello whisperer. I got a charger that doesn't do anything when plugged in. I did the tests, I got a spark went overriding. I got juice coming from the batteries. I changed the relay, and there's still nothing happening. The wires look good. What else could it be?

my charger is acting up, normally when you plug it up, it will jump up high on the meter and read more than 10 amps but all it will do now is 5 maybe 7 amps and the batteries are low so it should jump high to charge like normal, battery's are new test perfect what you think could cause that? Let me add the charger will only run for about 20 mins then acts like its charged and turn's off.
The only thing that tells the charger what to do is the on board computer on the golf cart. If you have a charger like is in the video. Replace on board computer on your cart

If you don’t bypass the relay. Does the relay click when you plug in into the car.

Do you have a tow switch?
If you do have a tow switch flip it from run to tow then back to run.
If you don’t have one. Unhook your main negative wire and hook back up and see it the battery gauge changes

What’s if I don’t have battery voltage to the red and blue wires?
I checked the fuse of the charger plug looks like the wire goes into the onboard computer
Check voltage at the receptacle on the cart. And see if you have voltage

The diode is so voltage doesn’t back feed and burn nothing up. Also it feeds each leg of the transformer.
