- The Burned Man explains just how The Courier, with his 1 in Intelligence, managed to persuade him to show mercy toward Salt-Upon-Wounds and the remaining White Legs, and in so doing, taught the Sorrows how to show mercy even in the midst of righteous violence.

God the writing is so outrageously good
Agreed, although with one small issue which I don't think Joshua Graham would make. Which would be in the story he's telling gets to when Salt-Upon-Wounds begs for his life. The word "intercede" is used inappropriately, instead of "intervene" or something similar.

I need an account from the Legate Lanius on how the Courier, a man whose wit had been stricken from him in a game that was rigged from the start, managed to convince the Monster of the East to capitulate at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. The idea behind a Courier who speaks like this but can still touch the soul of his fellow man through his words all the same is something beautiful, man.

The courier is like the chosen one in fallout 2, when you interact with another character who can’t talk as well, but since the two are on the same brainlength, their babbles turn into really eloquent speech to the two of them
I love that one. The guy beside the sewer or whatever, and because you’re both incredibly dumb your incoherent speech suddenly turns into a highly intelligent conversation

Thinking about it. Is this a stupid courier or just a courier who can’t form words anymore because of brain damage? His argument about sparing Salt person is pretty intelligent
he might have learned deeply, but the mental damage just holds him back. It seems that if this courier didn't have brain damage they might be one of the best people in the wastes

This is great but the way Joshua Graham talks makes him sound like a Protestant Christian rather than the Mormon he is portrayed as in the game.
Who's to say how a Mormon would speak after 200 years and a nuclear apocalypse. In the real world, he probably wouldn't even speak English as we know it.

My only nitpick is how does the courier know what a mummy is? I sincerely doubt that the average NCR peasant is even aware of the existence of ancient Egyptian archeology. It adds some interesting implications about the courier’s past life, specially considering that even high educated people like Caesar who doesn’t even have accurate knowledge of Rome or even Hegelian dialectics.

For a independent developer that have to ask for support from the players like Patreon is. fine you pay for them to make a nice game but if the company is disgusting rich don't give them money look at kick starter for a new game or a studio that need help and help those .
