  • The Burned Man explains just how The Courier, with his 1 in Intelligence, managed to persuade him to show mercy toward Salt-Upon-Wounds and the remaining White Legs, and in so doing, taught the Sorrows how to show mercy even in the midst of righteous violence.

Agreed, although with one small issue which I don't think Joshua Graham would make. Which would be in the story he's telling gets to when Salt-Upon-Wounds begs for his life. The word "intercede" is used inappropriately, instead of "intervene" or something similar.

If 5 is average intelligence (100 IQ), 3 would probably be 80 IQ, which would be a little higher than Forrest Gump’s level of intelligence (75 IQ), and just below the cutoff point for US Military service. It is illegal for anybody with an IQ lower than 83 to serve in the US Military in any role, because such a person is considered too dumb to perform any possible role without being a liability.
2 would be someone too dumb to string two sentences together properly and 1 would be incapable of even speaking with more than basic words, like a toddler: “Mummy man no kill Salt Man.”

I need an account from the Legate Lanius on how the Courier, a man whose wit had been stricken from him in a game that was rigged from the start, managed to convince the Monster of the East to capitulate at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. Who's to say how a Mormon would speak after 200 years and a nuclear apocalypse. In the real world, he probably wouldn't even speak English as we know it.

@@zefft.f4010 he wouldn’t be quoting the New Testament that’s for sure. Mormons don’t care for the Bible.

@zefft.f4010 due 200 years is not that long ago. You know the American revolution was 200 year ago.
This is a quote from a letter an english soldier sent home in 1811:
"I had begun to despair of ever hearing from any of the Family. I have also received a letter from Julia and one of as late a date as the 7th June from Nancy, who was at Quebec, she expected my Mother would pass some part of the summer with her - who was looking very well and young. My father also strong and well and all the Family. Robert was not satisfied with his Exchange, but that is always the case when too late."
Langauge doesn't just make radical changes in 200 years mate.

For reference the letter was from the napoleonic wars not the revolution or war of 1812

My only nitpick is how does the courier know what a mummy is? I sincerely doubt that the average NCR peasant is even aware of the existence of ancient Egyptian archeology. It adds some interesting implications about the courier’s past life, specially considering that even high educated people like Caesar who doesn’t even have accurate knowledge of Rome or even Hegelian dialectics.

If you have low intelligence in the old fallouts your character is mentally challenged and your dialog changes.

For a independent developer that have to ask for support from the players like Patreon is. fine you pay for them to make a nice game but if the company is disgusting rich don't give them money look at kick starter for a new game or a studio that need help and help those .
