    Just a tiny tip......when loosening the oil bolt, keep pushing up on it until you get past the threads and then pull it away quick......no oil will seep out as long as you are pushing up on it 😊

      Will give it a try, actually have to change the oil next week. Thanks for the tip!

    Just thought of putting a funnel to catch the dripping of oil right after screw isnoff into the drain pan.

    Hey man, great video! Quick question for you. Does it seem like it always takes 8 qts? I put about 7.5 qts in at first and then it saw it needed a little more. Still didn’t put the full 8 in but now the dipstick shows above the full mark no matter when I check it. On a level surface, etc. Not sure if I should drain a little out or not.

      Honestly it depends on how long you let it drain and it will drain better if it's a little warm. Before an oil change, if the truck has been turned off for a while, I may crank it for a few minutes just to let it warm up a little. I usually need all 8 quarts. I would definitely try to get it in the range on the dipstick cause you could foul out the spark plugs if the oil level is too high. Now if it's right on the boarder I think you will be ok, cause it will be kinda hard to drain a little out, but you could just loosen it until it slowly drips.

    Curious, do you have an oil catch can installed? What’s your thoughts on them?

      I do not have one but I have looked into them a little. I would recommend getting one of your plan on keeping your truck “until the wheels fall off.” But I don’t know that I would waste my money on it if you are someone that trades often.

    Hi, I'm from Germany, and I'm going to buy a new 2022 Chevy Trail Boss LT with the 5.3 l engine, so I'm glad to have found your channel, it's very interesting! May I ask you something that doesn't has to do with oil but with the AFM or DFM. I heard that this can cause damages to the lifters and in the worst case to the engine and that some Chevy owners had issues with that. So I'm a little bit concerned about that. Do you know something about this issue and maybe how to fix it? Thank you, greetings from Germany😊

      Awesome! Thanks for checking out the channel. Yes, they do sell this Pulse LT that can turn that feature off and it also does a lot more. There is also a range tech that only turns this off. I will leave the link below. I have thought about getting it myself, but it is a little pricey. It’s frustrating that there hasn’t been a recall on this. From everything I have read online , a lot of the lifter issues are happening on truck that follow the recommends 12,000km oil change intervals. I’m not doing that, I’ll be changing my oil every 5000km on my 5.3 Denali. Oil is cheap and I do my own oil changes

      @@marksullivan3424 Thank you for the answers👍On my last trip through the USA I bought a Pulsar LT and an oil catch can from JLT and two industrial magnets for the oil filter hoping that this all together avoids any issues with the lifters. Additional I do the oil change in shorter intervalls than recommended. 🙏😁

      Yea that’s why I usually wait til it gets in the 20%-30% range and only use full synthetic.

    Anything information on transmission fluid change?

      I usually take it to the dealer, cause the machine they use does a better job swapping it out.

    Do you actually say anything about the oil filters brand?

    • @zachattackcustoms
      @zachattackcustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use mobil 1 oil and oil filter. I mentioned the brand I use in another video all about a good way to purchase oil to get a good deal.
