I liked The Cosby Show because of how groundbreaking it was in it's presentation of an upper-middle-class nuclear African-American family(and not only were both parents in the home but one was a doctor and the other was a lawyer)but I don't know that I ever personally liked Bill Cosby, himself or that I ever found him to be that funny. And also, the condescending attitude towards younger black comics, like how he lectured Eddie Murphy about using profanity in his jokes and talking down to black people with his infamous speech back in 2004 just made me look at him in a completely different light. Also, there he was preaching morality and lecturing people on how he thinks they should speak and behave when he's out there drugging and raping women.
