I have struggled with adrenal fatigue for over a year. I love the idea of IF but I wasn’t able to stick with it because of the stress it was causing my body. I ran across this video a month ago and started drinking this daily and was able to stick with my fast, no big deal. At the same time, I saw other videos from Thomas and others about adrenal fatigue drinks with sea salt and cream of tartar. I’ve now been having it daily for a month, and I feel like this has been the key to my health. My energy levels are way up, mental clarity is so much better, afternoon exhaustion doesn’t happen anymore. I’ve started to feel like my old self! I don’t add monk fruit and especially, in the beginning, my body craved this drink! I’ve not had the incredible weight loss that many get from IF, 5lbs so far, but I’m very thankful to be feeling like me again!

Hi Thomas. I am 46 and on the 15th of August 2022 your youtube video made me feel so inspired that today it is my almost 3 months fasting. I have lost so much just by listening what really happen to your body while fasting. More videos to adding more protein to my open window makes so much for sense for getting older and what to include in my meals. a Big thanks. I can not diet. There is always something in diets I do not like. I never liked to weigh myself, now I do it at least once a week. I still have a few more kilos to lose, but I can do it. A big thanks to you. I am from Centurion, Gauteng South Africa

    Water
    2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
    1/4-1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
    1/2 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
    1 whole lime, juice
Very little monkfruit or stevia (optional)
I just finished making this for tomorrow and my taste test says I actually find it enjoyable, which surprised me since it's pretty savory. The flavor is really enjoyable and complex; I could see myself reaching for this in lieu of plain water. My friend did not enjoy it so much, but they have much more of a sweet tooth.
I did not have cream of tartar, but will get some tomorrow after work. I added in powdered tumeric and dehydrated ginger and will filter out any large particles in the morning just in case that might push me out of fast. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it affects my day tomorrow.

I have started to do IF since a couple of weeks now and feeling great. Today i decided to try this same drink since i want to keep my electrolytes on point. I measured my blood pressure before the drink and it was as usual 120-80, completely normal. After this exact drink it spiked up 145-85. i had to do all types of home remedies to lower my blood pressure and after about 6 hours it went all back into normal. I am not saying this drink is bad, but it could be harmful to some and useful to some. Oscar Wild had a saying: '' Be careful what you read because it might kill you''. Be careful guys.

Drinking a moderate amount of ANY liquid will temporarily raise your blood pressure, because it pushed more fluid into the blood so your heart has to work a little harder to maintain adequate circulation. Also, even when we’re not eating or drinking anything, blood pressure can fluctuate a lot throughout the day.

    Summary for mid-fast drink:
    - 10-12 oz of water
    - 2 table spoons of acv
    - 1/4 to 1/2 tea spoons of cream tartar
    - 1/2 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt
    - juice of 1 lime
    - some stivia or monk fruit sweeteners (not necessary)
    You’re welcome😂

I may have found a better kind of Potassium to use besides cream of tartar. I don't know about the bioavailability of this form, but salt substitutes such as 'No-Salt' are made of Potassium Chloride. One teaspoon of No-Salt has about 2500mg of potassium, while 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar has about 500mg. The video's recipe calls for 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar, which will give you about 1000mg with 3.6 carbs. It makes the drink taste really bad as well. With salt substitute, you can get the same amount of Potassium in half a teaspoon, without carbs, and with a better taste.

    • @ClarkPotter
      @ClarkPotter 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No.
No appreciable calories in it to trigger an insulin response.
I use it in my "lemonades" from my Master Cleanse days.
I water fast semi-regularly up to 21 days and sometimes I'll add little cleanses in there with stuff like this. I add cayenne still and cross my fingers it isn't bs.
Besides, when fasting, you'll take any taste you can get and lemon+cayenne is pretty nice when it's all you have ecept bentonite clay+psyllium husk or water.

Check out your pH level. Usually the body is accidic and if you if you take some acid, what vinegar is, your body reacts negative to it. Try 1/2 TP pure soda instead. Take a glass. Put the soda inside. Pure 1/5 glass of hot water in it and mix it well. After you have mixed it add cold water to it so you have a full glass. Drink it half an hour before your meal. Your pH level will normalize and you will feel better. Check out some youtube videos on the benefits of baking soda in the morning otherwise.

thats called dry fasting because you have no water during the day, so try this drink along with good water intake during the night when you rehydrate yourself and break your fast with something healthy. he has another video explaining what food is best when you break your fast, he says dont mix fats and carbs together when you first eat and wait an hour or two before you do. i suggest working out after youre done work or school. its actually good to do dry fasting also because your body takes out fat from your muscles easier. I usually break a fast with a salad without any dressing along with either chicken or nuts.

I wanted to try this but acv 1 tbsp 3 cal, cream of tartar 8 calories per 1 tsp, so to reap full benefits of water fasting Im told no calories what so ever, Doc Of Detox. I was wondering alos about bentonite clay as a natural alternative to getting my electrolytes, seems to have Calcium, Magnesium, Silica, Sodium, Copper, Iron and Potassium and 0 calories. Perhaps it's the ratio, research it and get back to us.

Potassium daily requirement 3500-4700mg, 1500-2300mg of sodium. Clearly you need more potassium.

I doubled the potassium to salt and it seams to be working.
I make this drink because I drink too much coffee and sweat in the garden. I also make sure to do a veggy shake at my meal. Eat those veggys.

Because sodium-potassium ATPases in your body function by releasing 2 potassium ions out of cells in your brain while bringing 3 sodium ions in when a stimulus occurs that causes your brain cells to activate their neural signals. This stimulus can be something like weight lifting which fires tons of neural communications in your brain causing this reaction to occur significantly. Hence, we need more sodium ions for that purpose

Also Celtic sea salt or pink Himalayan salt have about 80+ minerals so it doesn't act like regular table salt.

I've been IF for a while and been feeling tired and never paid attention to my sodium intake so gonna give this a try. Just made some and I thought this was going to taste very acidic and overwhelming with the salt . I was very surprised after the first sip, it is actually quite refreshing and taste good. Going to replace this with my coffee in the morning. Thank you!

This doesn't need any sweetening at all. Its citrusy/salty yum. I had it with seltzer water and gave me a nice pick up
