    Yo! The fermented apple juice is easily the best part of this process!!! I will absolutely be making fermented apple juice for the rest of my life!!! I added ginger, cinnamon and cloves to the apple vinegar process and the result is astounding 🖤🖤🖤 thank you so much for this wonderfully complete video 🎉🎉🎉

    This is hands down the best channel for a vegetarian trying to go zero waste. Watching you make everything from scratch gives me hope that I don't have to compromise on the foods that I eat with our quest for zero waste.

      If you want to go more zero waste you could keep a hat in the kitchen and add apple cores and peels as you go. You just need to top up the water.

      Just go buy a jug of apple cider vinegar at the store. $3.50. All done, we do not need to spend hours to make it.
      In the 50s and 60s it was not availabe, not anymore. Factories pay 5 cents a pound for apples, you pay $2.00 a
      pound for apples, what is the point?

      Well, there was yeast and bacteria that made it all possible. All of the chemical changes came from yeast eating the sugar and excreted EtOH (alcohol) and then bacteria consumed the EtOH and excreted acetic acid. That's right, apple cider vinegar is bacteria piss.

      @@pamelaremme38 Seeds aren't toxic but do have small traces of cyanide (amygdalin), though you would need to eat a few hundred of them to affect you which shouldn't be a problem unless you were at an apple seeds eating contest, which aren't held anymore bc ppl have actually died in them.

      Is vinegar same as Alcohol??

      making vinegar requires 2 fermentations , the first or primary fermentation converts the sugars to alcohol , the secondary fermentation occurs when the acetobacter converts the alcohol to acedic acid. When both fermentations are complete there will be no sugar or alcohol left only vinegar. ​@@abdullahalmahin9070

    I started my first batch of vinegar about 10 days ago. I've been stirring it every day and am noticing the changes. Today I smelled it and tasted it and it was actually good. I guess the 2nd fermentation will make it that sour taste we all know. I'm glad I stumbled upon your video because it gave me some confidence, since I wasn't sure I was doing it right, and it helped to know where to go from here. Now I have a place to pop back to when I am questioning, what to do next. Thank you.

    Gourmet Vegetarian Kitchen this one of the best videos about making Cider Vinegar .
    A tip; Use the core of the apple and don't remove it because this has a very high level of nutrients. You can remove some seeds out of it. I have saved yuur video to my favorites.

    Thank you so much for this video. I know it took you a long time to make the video (let alone the vinegar, the mother, etc.) I have two apple trees and every year I strive and struggle to preserve and use as many apples as I can. But I was getting tired of making things that are sweet. Although I don't add any sugar to my apple sauce or butter, it's still plenty sweet. I'm glad to find your video. (How come I didn't think to make vinegar -- is just mystery to me as I LOVE vinegar and fermenting things.) I'm currently in my kitchen with boxes and bowls of apples. I will get right on with vinegar making and I will follow all the way through to the mother. Thank you again, and I'll also have to check your other videos!

    When you use mother or cultured apples for a new acv, is it being added to a new mix of water and sugar from beginning? And if so, how much sugar to water for both?

    Wonderful. Always knew there was some sort of fermentation involved, but thought in the tropics where I live, fungi may develop easily. It is quite common even on fruits, vegetables. Good too know that basic sterlisation is good enough.

      Just keep it in the last jar you've made. Or place into a smaller jar filled with some of the last batch of vinegar you made.
