- Hi all! I've been keeping a little secret from you, because in January I did a daily art challenge without telling anybody! I've done daily art projects before but this is the first time I kept things private, so I could see if I could do it without the accountability and to see what I created knowing I didn't have to share. a short daily challenge can really help with coming up with ideas for bigger pieces, as long as someone doesnt take it so seriously wanting perfect images everyday
Oh yes that's such a great point! It's a really nice way to develop ideas for sure, and keeping the pressure low is a must!! 😊
I really appreciate your process-related commentary as you show your sketches. A well-done challenge just for yourself that you are now sharing (very different from "performing" for your audience).

You created so many lovely pieces over the last month, really fun seeing how the line work evolved over time and how you merged it with your usual style 😄🩷 I really love your loose style, but I’m loving how your pieces with a bit more line work than usual looked like at the end of the month! What a fun challenge and a bit easier to start than a 100 day one. I try to draw a little every day and I have found that even if I only draw for 10 minutes when short on time, it still makes such a difference. I just finished my last sketchbook so I started my new one on the 1st of February and this time I actually managed to start on the first page right away 😄

Definitely much more manageable than a 100 day one but as you say, managing our expectations and allowing for quick doodles or 10 minute sketches is so important! I really love the 8th and 21st and they are almost an extension of each other. Oranges and the art materials are great as well!

this is a fantastic challenge to do and the pieces you created are really impressive! especially considering you created them everyday, you should be proud of yourself. I'm taking part in the daily doodle diary challenge but mine and much more like quick rough sketches 🥰

Thank you for sharing your journey and coming out of your comfort zone for us to see. I’m taking note of your techniques and colours. I’ve found buildings difficult and backgrounds so I did a random pin drop on maps and screen grab and then created a fictitious village. Also I’m doing much more mixed media pieces too.

Suddenly I found myself really enjoyeing listening to British english (im not english language speaker and in daily life moustly surrender by american english media)))
Haha I'm glad you're enjoying it! I think I'm very used to hearing American English in the TV and TH-cam shows I watch but obviously in daily life I'm use to British English 😄

You created a lot of really nice pieces. My favorites are the spread from 29th and 30th. I really like when you make shapes for vignettes. I also really like the soft color palette. I liked the foxes and the oranges as well. What are the names of the colors you used on Day 17 (the limited palette) ? I really like that kind of minty light green.
Thank you so much! 🥰 I was so pleased with the vibes of that spread, it feels so calming. The colours I used on day 17 are 639 Dark Indigo, 661 Light Cobalt Blue and 713 Middle Verdigris - all Luminance pencils. I have fallen in love with the light green shade, it's so lovely!
