You speak French with such an authentic accent, that I'm really surprised that you've never had escargot. Thanks for your enthusiastic take on that fantastic city.
Do not waste time staying in bed in the mornings. Get up early and get out walking when the Parisians are off to work. Do not miss out the many small museums and galleries scattered across the city. Don't miss one of the best views in Paris. Visit the Tour Montparnasse - it has an unmatched view of all of the key sights. If the weather is good, don't waste it in a café. Go to a side street shop, buy a baguette and some paté and sit in a park or on the banks of the Seine.
Bravo for a good and pretty much realistic report on Paris, Yes there are things to do (absolutely) and not to do or I might say, not in high season with tremendous crowd and huge risk of scam or pickpocket surrounding. Every corner of Paris is to bucket-list and do, just get some tips before going and that will be fine. I'm French and love Paris since my younger age till now without being disappointed a single day, of course there are things I've learnt to avoid (even for a French citizen). The snails tasting experience is indeed surprising, as you said, it's actually better than it looks, if well prepared, they are delicious. Anyway, bravo for the excellent report and thank you for appreciating Paris.
Bonjour, Just returned from Paris. The Metro was magnificent. There is no way you can ever give the excuse that you were late because you missed the train, another will come within 2-4 mins. Loved it. You shouldn’t forget to discover and buy “2024’s best croissant/baguette/hot chocolate etc. It’s such a treat, you get to explore parts of the city that’s truly local and when you return for the same the next day or so (trust me, you will!) you’ll be confident knowing where to go. Can’t wait to return after the Summer Olympics. Thank you for your ideas. Au revoir!
Visit the Pere la Chere Paris famous cemetery, the famous final resting place for many famous people, Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Gaspard ulliel etc. it's been featured in Paris Je'taime
I am amazed that you ate the snails so quickly - I had them only once and it took me at least 40 minutes to psych myself up into eating them. Once they were finally down the hatch, I thought what’s the big deal? It’s like eating garlic buttery rubber… Never again. 😱
Your video makes me want to go back in Paris! 🫶🏻☺️ That’s right , don’t do too much in one day, just enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the city like locals.
the lady she interview said "don't be scared to come here, paris is not dangerous" well i would argue that and say it depends where you go and in what district you're in. there's a lot of fights, robberies, young gang members that sit outside subway stations etc, and let's not forget the pickpockets and terror attacks. so if you want to visit paris just be aware of these things. and a lot of homeless people everywhere and illegal immigrants living in tents all over the place but i think they have been "relocated" because of the olympic's since the city has "cleaned" everything up or (hide it) like brazil did years ago
As a French, you had the exact same first reaction when eating snails as I did : "wait, it's not as bad as I thought it'd be". Still not my favourite as it's a bit too "strong" for me, at least where I tried, but it's not bad.

I forgot to add, do not hesitate to taste all dishes, deserts, pastries, etc because eating is an absolute French art of living.
Thank you very much. We are delighted with the compliment - especially coming from a French!

I was there last week of May this year. Dirty, dirty city. One and done for us, too bad.
