They don't queue, they get private access and private visits. You can book a private visi8t of the louvres certain days of the year or certain hours of the day. The louvres offers private visits every tuesday which is the day it is closed and 2 nights a week. This is only for three groups of 5 people maximum so only 15 people, and this costs 25 000 euros per group. (5000 euros per person), but it is only on recommendation which means you can't just pick up the phone or go online and make a reservation, you need to known someone they kn ow or be very trustworthy, which means if you are Beyonce you will get it, but if you are a nobody you won't.

We shared a few moments sharing stories. Ppl with lower income tend to flip flop with their feelings towards the ultra rich. One second it's finding them interesting and obsessing over everything they do. Sometimes using them as inspiration for their ambitions in trying to climb the ladder of success.
And when the economy isn't in a great place, ppl tend to complain about how 'unrelatable' they are and how they are stupid for how they spend their money. It's funny bc rich ppl haven't really changed their behavior over the years, they've always been known to enjoy luxury. If you can afford it why not? It's only lower income ppl that go back and forth in thinking this behavior is either unrelatable or inspirational.

Why spend $ 200 for a meal when I can save to pay almost all my electric bill for the month? It is all about setting life's priorities. I would much rather allocate funds to help an elderly friend pay their rent than visit Disneyland or take an expensive trip anytime.

The places for the ultra rich is only a hype. I won't go to Paris to eat haute cuisine or sleep in soft cusions. I would go to Paris to see the place, the outside ambience. All the luxuries that are sold can be found anywhere else in the world where there is tourism and whatnot. But you cannot see the grand view of the real Eiffel Tower anywhere else, and that's what adventurers go to see, not some overblended milk with a touch of asparagus.

Honey, it’s the City of Light, not Lights. It refers to the city’s early and broad electrification.

In french, we say "La cité des lumières" so it's city of lights if you want to do a traduction. And it refers to the importance of Paris in "le siècle des lumières" or "Age of Enlightenment" in english.

I've been to Paris just before the pandemic. Food: it looks beautiful but tastes bland; cheap instant noodles taste much better. There are numerous high-end fashion shops with luxury items like a 1000-euro iPhone case, a 200,000-euro watch, etc. Somewhat similar to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. I did not buy anything there except some macarons. Instead, I bought tech ETFs and later Nvidia stocks. Those luxury hotels don't appeal to me, even though I can afford them. Airbnb is much better.

Over 20 years ago, French police warned what would happen if the government continued to allow Muslims and Africans into France. The results are obvious, and the cops were prophetic! The once highly cultured, intelligent, and magnificent French culture, heritage, traditions and history are presently being taken over by those who share none of its values, traditions or respect of law. Bottom line: The French government, much like the British, have destroyed their own societies that required thousands of years to create and build, and for what?
