    Guys if you are unable to solve the problem with the update, you may have one of the mystery defective controllers that were produced. if it is still returnable I would recommend exchanging it. ITs sad for something so costly to be riddled with issues.

      I have tried 3 different controllers and they all disconnect and reconnect in about 10 seconds. I did everything you said on all of them and made sure they are all updated and no fix. I highly doubt all 3 or my controllers are defective.

    Thanks for the video, I had to do 3 things in order to get my controller not to disconnect. First i update my bluetooth drivers, then I update the firmware in my controller just like you showed me. After that I still had problems with bad connection and disconnecting and I realize I had to plug in my antenna for my motherboard. Now works like a charm!

    • @gibbysworldoftech
      @gibbysworldoftech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats true but it isnt exclusively the problem. Microsoft recently low key admitted that some controller hardware had a defect. They wouldnt say what it is or if its a fix, only that it was limited in occurrence and not worthy of a recall. This particular issue could be fixed with my method about 80 percent of the time.

    If anyone is having this problem and has an xbox one or xbox series (i did this with an original xbox one), connect your controller on your xbox and update it through the accessories app. Just select the 3 dots under "Configure" and an update should pop up. Do that and let it update. Wait for it to say "Next" (it will stay at 100% for a minute then after give the next option) and you're done. sync your controller and connect it via bluetooth on your pc (you probably need to remove your xbox from the list and then add device)

    We had the same issue, downloaded the app, connected with a micro USB (guess the newer ones are USB-C), and I did have to manually run an update. It didn’t pop up with “update” but my guess is the newer ones do, we have an XBOX One X and haven’t needed to purchase a control in a while so my guess is it’s an updated setup with the newer controllers. Either way, it fixed ours so I’m running through ALL the controllers now!!! Crazy for this secret accessories app, why they don’t have it download automatically is beyond me. Or just integrate it into the XBOX app altogether. But hey, luckily it worked for us and for now…hopefully it stays that way!
    Also, when I went to add a new device, I had to disconnect from the computer, then held the pair button down, it finds it in the normal list but the pop up in the lower right corner from my guess is that new app picks it up right away like a driver update/download kind of box and asks to add it, then it’s done. Go back to the list and it shows up as a Bluetooth device! Much appreciated!!!

    Unfortunately for me, it still doesn't work. It worked for a long time on my surface and then when I reset it and connected it to the PC it now disconnects every few minutes. I am still looking for a fix. If I find one, I will put the link on here.

      @@esketitdanny5227only fix I found isn’t even a fix. Having a usb to usb c and plugging the controller directly into the computer it works. I have tried multiple controllers at this point. 2 elite v2 controllers and 2 regular Xbox controllers. Same issue.

    Problem 1 - controller turns off as soon as it pairs.
    Solved using your method, got it to Bluetooth pair but not tried the 2.4ghz yet
    2. Accessories update stuck at 0%.........

    Just forgetting device in the bluetooth settings and reconnecting, it worked!! I had like 4 xbox controllers listed in there from using other peoples controllers. I wonder if that was screwing it up.

    It help out with the frequency of drops. However I still have this issue. It’ll drop for 5 seconds or so then after it reconnects itself the controller will have serious lag. I’m just reverting to playing it with a usb. I’m tired of playing my games and it drops out on me during a boss fight or parkour.
    I have origin pc with windows 11 and a Xbox elite series 2 controller. So much money and my shit is still ghetto.
