Guys if you are unable to solve the problem with the update, you may have one of the mystery defective controllers that were produced. if it is still returnable I would recommend exchanging it. ITs sad for something so costly to be riddled with issues.
I've done firmware updates on all my controllers and I've had the problem with every controller I've tried. I don't understand why this is still an issue.
I have tried 3 different controllers and they all disconnect and reconnect in about 10 seconds. I did everything you said on all of them and made sure they are all updated and no fix. I highly doubt all 3 or my controllers are defective.
Thanks for the video, I had to do 3 things in order to get my controller not to disconnect. First i update my bluetooth drivers, then I update the firmware in my controller just like you showed me. After that I still had problems with bad connection and disconnecting and I realize I had to plug in my antenna for my motherboard. Now works like a charm!

It didn’t pop up with “update” but my guess is the newer ones do, we have an XBOX One X and haven’t needed to purchase a control in a while so my guess is it’s an updated setup with the newer controllers. Either way, it fixed ours so I’m running through ALL the controllers now!!! Crazy for this secret accessories app, why they don’t have it download automatically is beyond me. Or just integrate it into the XBOX app altogether. But hey, luckily it worked for us and for now…hopefully it stays that way! @@esketitdanny5227only fix I found isn’t even a fix. Having a usb to usb c and plugging the controller directly into the computer it works. I have tried multiple controllers at this point. 2 elite v2 controllers and 2 regular Xbox controllers. Same issue.
Problem 1 - controller turns off as soon as it pairs.
Solved using your method, got it to Bluetooth pair but not tried the 2.4ghz yet
2. Accessories update stuck at 0%.........
Good looking. This method worked for me.
My controller is stuck on " other devices" in Bluetooth in my device manager it seems in Bluetooth is not there but. I cant enter paring mode
This fixed my problem, thanks for the vid.
This happens to me and the controller latency is nuts 😢
Hey gibby, sorry to ask silly question, I had an wireless xbox 360 controller for pc, the usb c cable you are reffering is the charging cable ? si that correct? or there is another cable for this? thx a lot
Finally found a valid solution to my disconnecting controller issue that actually works. Thanks for sharing this one with us mate 😉Ended up updating my Xbox Wireless Headset as well 😁
Yes, seems to work. Thx mate.
Just forgetting device in the bluetooth settings and reconnecting, it worked!! I had like 4 xbox controllers listed in there from using other peoples controllers. I wonder if that was screwing it up.
Jep drivers. Hadn't updated in like a year. Will check if it stays alright for now
works like a treat! thanks!
after return 2 controllers, your solution was what I need it.
Hard to understand how using a microsoft windows I can't update de controller using cmd/device manager.... but I need another app...curious aswell hopw the shop took 2 controller back instead of being aware of this issue XD.
Thank you boss.
Dont you think if i had a USBC, I would use it instead of searching the internet?
Theres people like us, who want to use it just via Bluetooth! Genius ¬¬
My issue is every xbox controllers even series 2, will rapidly reconnect and disconnect instead of staying connected.
when my controller turns off it doesnt reconnect, i have to do a full restart. any idea how to fix this?
I've updated Windows
I've updated firmware
Still disconnecting.
It help out with the frequency of drops. However I still have this issue. It’ll drop for 5 seconds or so then after it reconnects itself the controller will have serious lag. I’m just reverting to playing it with a usb. I’m tired of playing my games and it drops out on me during a boss fight or parkour.
I have origin pc with windows 11 and a Xbox elite series 2 controller. So much money and my shit is still ghetto.
Thank you for this I really needed this since I play Assassin's creed 4 Black Flag
i dropped a like it worked for me thank you
It worked, man, thanks!
Work first time bro Thanks
I still have problems staying connected when I try to play a game on steam
nice tattoo. crouching tiger, hidden dragon
Can you also update the controllers by plugging them into any xbox console ❓I still have my Xbox 1X sitting on the shelf collecting dust for 3 years I think🤷♂️
yes
i already did that and i only play in usb cable without youtube but i still have the controller disconnect all the time
doing this with my elite 2 , it had a update , ill let you know if it works and if it stops disconnecting :)
I have an old xbox one controller that wont stay working for a minute, but the pc recognizes it.
It worked!!!! Thanks
Thanks. Worked on the Legion Go.
Thanks for this!
I got the app and everything. It started to work better but the connection still went out. Maybe I should get a new controller ? Thanks for the vid anyways man 👍
Did this and it's still disconnecting periodically for me
