Air dry clay pot is not typically recommended for planting succulents because it is not porous like terracotta or ceramic pots. Cacti, like succulents, require well-draining soil and pots that allow excess moisture to evaporate. Although using an air dry clay pot for planting cactus is still not the ideal choice, but cactus or succulents don’t require a lot of watering, so we can plant them in pots made out of air dry clay. Remember to drill a hole at the bottom of the pot when modelling and add more coats of waterproof varnish. Or you can plant cactus and succulents in a small terracotta pot, and then use your own air dry clay pot to decorate outside. Yours truly
