OMG! I’m obsessed with this idea! There’s SO many ugly vases and just STUFF in my house I can transform now! Im SO excited to wake up tomorrow with all these new ideas!!! I even have all the tools ( and the same paints ) to do this immediately!

all of them look very expensive and authentic , it kinda makes you wonder those expensive stores , what techniques they are using , I been searching for the dark large pottery barn vase dupe as the one I want is $300 , and this has inspired me to go to my local thrift store , dollar tree for the paint , this can be done so affordably , I am not a DIY person at all but this has truly convinced me to be one .

I bought a pitcher at a thrift store. It’s shiny brown texture. I didn’t really like the color. Now I know what I can do with it. I’m never going to pass an ugly color vase or container at the thrift store again. This is great. I’m going to look around my house for anything I can do this to. Thanks for this video. I’m going to go buy some paint and things tomorrow.

I watched last night before bed. Went thrift shopping this morning at Goodwill, and found some great vases. Got some paint, and I'm ready to make over my vases. I love your channel. I get so excited when you post a new video. Bonus I got some cool coffee table books. Just took off the paper covers and they are perfect. One of them is Ethan Allen. Style create the look you love. This used to be a very high end furniture store in Charlotte.

I swear I've watched at least 50 of these transformative vase videos, and yours is BY FAR the Prettist!!! They're effortlessly elegant looking. Could you please share with me the paint brand/colors you used? I would greatly appreciate your help.
    Thank you and keep creating!!!!

I have always wanted to know how to do this I have so many different vases huge, large, medium and small and I have changed them with adding ribbon and handmade bows and string, but nothing is compared to what you have done I have saved your video so I can go back and watch and see the different items you have used to create these awesome vases that I just find so great and would change the entire look of my home and this is just a great project for me since I am disabled, And cannot go anywhere alone without someone being with me, but I can order these paints and items online which I get free shipping on almost everything I order which is a great way to shop and save money which is also for me to get great deals. I can't wait to get my hands into doing these projects as well. Thanks for showing us your art of making things look so beautiful. Thomas

BTW: your tutorial is the simplest, clearest , well presented of any I have seen. You showed the materials you used, in the order that you used them, and showed very simply how you laid them out to use , showed the container labels, the tools you used as you used them, and how you used them. I looked up some authentic shipwreck pottery after viewing this and saw a couple that looked spot on to yours. We are moving to a maritime area very near the Bay of Fundy, but on lakefront. I have been looking ahead to how to introduce some more authentic maritime features, besides lobster traps , lighthouses and buoys. And bonus! I can use some broken pieces!

I love anything diy. I don't even have favorites.. I get addicted to a diy and I'm on that and make as many as I can before I get bored, then onto something else and so on, then back to older diys that I had done years ago.. So I am all over the place.. Thank you for sharing.. Love these

I love the way all of these turned out. I've been going to thrift shops and picking up old vases/vessels now for some time and doing these aging processes for some time now and I thoroughly enjoy it. I bought both sizes of those jugs from Target to age them as well as the peachy color doesn't go with my vibe, but I so love the shapes.

I have done a few of these in black and navy blue with tile adhesive as the "dirt". I did some parts of my vessels with raised areas of dirt and it came out so great! I did rub actual dirt on mine but don't think this is a necessary step as the tile adhesive really gives it that look already. Great video and I am a new subscriber.

I think, A Lazy Susan would help immensely with this type project.
Question: After using a joint compound and a paint/bakingsoda mixture, which method or product do you prefer? Also, do you think they created a different look or perhaps one is easier than the other to apply?
I’m curious because I have a couple of textured ceramic lamps that I want to change up.

Super cool effects! Just a tip for the future, I believe you're supposed to mix paint with baking powder not baking soda to get that terracotta kind of texture. This is because baking powder activates with water and sort of foams up a bit. Making soda just makes things grainy. Which may be you prefer?

love all your videos. Just curious though, do you have basement storage? Seems like a lot of items purchased, how do you store them, or do you use the buy one, sell one rule? I dont have the space to change decor with each season. Thanks!
