- PUMPING HOT AIR INTO MY HOME
I bought one of these for my garage, and then thought....... I could heat my home with this! So that's exactly what i did! It is working great pumping hot air into my home. It is keeping us nice and warm and super economical.
I have a carbon monoxide detector just in case, but you don't get any fumes indoors at all
.
I hope this may help you in some way. Even if it just makes an idea pop up in your head, of how you can heat your home in cheaper way.
Thanks for looking at my videos cheers Andy..... If you can be anything, be Kind.....

Just one thought at present, I would without a doubt put a cover over the screws that take the power from the wall to the power supply for safety reasons, those fixing screws look open and easily touched which as you know would give a serious jolt of 240 volts.
Hi Andy, your air intake for the burner would be better from the cooler garage air, the colder the air the more dense so it contains more oxygen to help the burn, same principle as an intercooler on an engine.
yeah but the same air mixture for complete combustion is maintained with a turbo intercooler , it adds the extra fuel to compensate for the dense air, its just a way to get more of both, in to the cylinders,so your logic is kinda wrong, it will have no real gain for him,
Thanks for the tip
@@leeyo5494 cold air is more dense so contains more oxygen per area, the intercooler cools the air entering the turbo for the same reason
@@iandavid7474 yeah but the point is more fuel is also then added, to up the power, in his heater setting, this is not needed
@@leeyo5494 it's not about increasing power it's for a more efficient burn with less carbon build up in the burn chamber
Love the idea, I purchased one last year and never fitted it. It's what the insurance would say to wiggle out of a claim even if unrelated.
yes i have fitted three of these inside large storage boxes placed outside my house the inlet and outlet pipes actually go through the exterior walls next to the controller in the outside boxes i have large fuel tanks the exhaust and combustion pipes vent to the outside of the boxes completely seperate from the interier they have been very efficient got us through the winter!
Just an idea, Have you tried running the exhaust gasses through an old intercooler from a car to extract waste heat that could be used to heat the garage. could be a good project. cheers
Great suggestion! thanks
Mint 👌🏻 Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
I would be concerned by taking the combustion air from the house. I would prefer keeping the combustion and heated air flows separate. The rest of the system is excellent.
Love your videos, is it possible to put one of these on a timer so it will kick in just like central heating?
these have a timer function built in already
and thanks
How much fuel does it use and could red diesel be used? Many thanks
yes you can use red, see my other vids for a consumption vid
I'm getting a diesel smell in the conservatory I'm heating when not running. Got no leaks I can see. I'm fitting a 5 inch PC fan to blow air through the box the heater is in. Hope it works. Have you had this problem ?
thats a good idea. no , i dont get any smells in the house.
cheers andy
@andyfireblade found the problem. End snapped off the fuel filter and bend too tight. Couldn't find 90° one.
