When I saw this a couple months ago I thought it was stupid but I tried it and this is what I've found. We have one par 3 at my course that really gives me trouble. Counting silently when I'm about to start my last few waggles helps keep my brain just busy enough to make a good swing. I don't count on every shot but I haven't hit a bad one yet when I do. I usually strike it anywhere from 5-8 but it doesn't matter. The idea for me is to keep the negative thoughts out of my head. One of the most helpful golf tips I've ever come across.

A very simple technique that works for me is to exhale deeply using the diaphragm just prior to initiating the backswing.

Yup. And while swinging I like to have the tip of my tongue just slightly between front teeth. Gives a nice relaxed feeling.

You should talk about Tempo and Rhythm. Many great swings have very different tempos but I believe most great swings have very similar rhythm.

Question: What's the purpose of the wrists position at address if it has to be changed at impact point? More so, a lot of body parts (e.g. lead leg due to weight transfer, how the hips, lead arm and shoulder had advanced rotation) are more likely controlled/set during the downswing and specially at ball impact which does not relate to how they were at address? Other than spine angle, leg stance and ball distance/position, are there other things we should be mindful to set at address?

Bob golf has nothing to do with logic its some kind of moving art form like dancing but you hit a ball while doing it!

dont you love it when your on the range and doing everything right then step onto the course and all that muscle memory goes out the window and you subconciously start rushing the down swing and hitting inconsistently, maybe this will help alleviate that issue

So unreal. Course I play at all the time just last week hit a killer drive. Nice high draw and I’m 140 to the pin. Get I rush second shot and hit it low and off target right. It got me so angry. What a waste of a good drive. Next hole the same thing. Too quick with the downswing.

Some of my best shots are when i'm just super relaxed and talking through my swing to my friend.
He and I hit our 2nd shots to the same spot, just short of the green, short of a bunker. We had to flop shot it and my friend, who is much better than me, told me "Show me how it's done". So I just talked through what I was doing as I was doing it. "I'm just gonna walk up to this ball, set up, open up my club face, lower hands, and keep my hand speed consistent through the swing" and as I was about to finish that sentence, I made contact. Absolute perfect shot from 20 yards out, landed a foot away from the hole. And then my buddy did the same thing, but just a little better LOL

I talk to myself so much at the range, and on the course that I've been told to "shut up"...I actually don't talk to myself, but the other day a guy next to me on the range was talking to someone thru his Bluetooth while hitting.

This doesn’t teach anything to do with the tempo in the back and downswing. Some people might have a 3 count for their entire swing because their tempo in their backswing is horrible. I don’t get this.

I managed to stop this at the 0:00 minute mark. If you're having trouble with your tempo then you fall victim to the misconception of the golf swing and this all revolves around one word. Can you guess what it is?
