Danny, in 30 years of trying to improve my golf swing, and watching countless videos from so many instructors, I’ve learned more while going through your instructional lessons over the last few weeks, and have come to the conclusion that you are the best golf guru of anyone. Thanks so much! Love what you’re doing. Have a blessed New Year.
Hope you've had a great Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2021. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to watch, comment and like my videos in 2020. Can't tell you how much this encourages me to keep looking for new and better ways to help you play better golf.
Thanks Danny 🙏 Always insightful, helpful & easy to understand. My game is better for watching your instructional videos. Looking good with the injury rehab too. Wishing 2021 an even bigger year for you personally & professionally. All the best, Rahul, Melbourne, Australia
thanks dan. I am a 66 year old golfer who has been playing for 25 years. had a few years as a single digit and now up to a 13. I feel my skills are improving with my short game however Im losing distance and accuracy while in hitting from the fairway. Im playing tomorrow and will use the 100 and 1 count along with the high to low advice you offered in a previous video. Stay tune ill let you know how I make out .. thanks I have a feeling this info is going to very helpful...
Danny many thanks for giving out such great advice, It gives me a great program of activity to work on during these dark days. I used to use 123 as my swing thoughts but after years of on off golf forgot its importance. I say it quitely so no one hears. First came across this idea in inner game of golf a long time ago and got to handicap 11. If you come to Ireland let me know, I owe you a pint.
The difference between your teaching and other lessons taught by other professionals online is your knack to spot us novices mistakes immediately, it's as if you can see all our swings without seeing them. All the questions that have been unanswered for 30 years learning this game by watching videos, books etc are being answered now. You have a gift John Luton
FINALLY!!! I’ve been looking for “the right” video that teaches me how to generate lag. I know this video was intended to teach you not to rush but the second step just clicked with me. I went to my backyard, brought the club back with my right hand and did the left foot move to hang my wrist. From there I did the full swings and then made videos of my swing. It looked so good I had to hit the range to see if it helped me hit longer. Well, not only did I hit longer, I found my swing was more repeatable. Thanks Danny for taking the time to make these videos! 🏌🏿♂️
If you read this I want you to know what a fantastic teacher you are. Lots of instructors can teach gifted players, only a few special instructors can make the less talented but driven player better. You simplify to quantify. Keep sending videos, you are the best.
This guy really has a gift of explaining. Nearly everytime I watch him I get that Aha! moment. Thank you Danny for sharing your gifts with us. It's truly benefitting so many.
I swear my phone is watching me and its so smart while i was practicing my golf swing randomly during the day and when i go to cut on TH-cam to literally look up this exact thing first thing in my feed is this exact video. Danny your the best and many appreciate all you do! Cant thank you enough! You have helped my golf game immensely.
Wow... I just started golf after 10+ years. I gave up because I was never good at it. I've seen many youtube videos had you try your 'energy' method and all I can say is thank you. You made it so easy to understand. I'm hitting more with less effort!
Danny I have been playing golf about 30 years or more and at one time I was a 7 handicap, but as I got older my game got very inconsistent, I have never been very flexible and as I got older I could not get off my back foot and was always swinging from the top. I bought videos from hank Haney and many other, this was going on for five years and I was up to a 12 handicap,I would practice on watch videos all the time and then I watched this video between the hundred and one and lifting the left foot (which I never did in my life) my whole game has been transformed,I am hitting ball so good and so far I was fitted for new irons last night and my pro could not believe the difference, so thank you ⛳️
Danny, very helpful for older players who get too static over the ball. Stay loose and practice keeping that looseness under control like you show in the video. I personally have to tighten it up just a little to correctly shape my shots but it essentially works. John Rahm is the perfect example of this power-shift.
This is exactly what I needed! I've been flipping and casting so much. The weight transfer in the foot has been so helpful. thanks for all the great videos.
Oh. My. Goodness! This is the best instructional video I've ever watched! I've been hitting my irons horribly lately and shanking them off the toe consistently. Watched this tonight, drilled those three things without a ball for like 10 minutes, then proceeded to hit 20 balls into my net. Face powder showed 16 center strikes, 2 near the toe, and 2 towards the heel. Don't know distance as I'm hitting inside without a monitor, but it just feels SO GOOD! About to send this video to a couple people. This is golf gold! Thank you!
Danny in all the years i have been playing golf this has got to be the best move i have seen to stop rushing the downswing i have came across. I have had a tendency to rush my downswing a lot recently with this quick lesson i will give it much thought to help my game thank you.
I’m definitely someone who is guilty of watching TOO MANY different golf instruction videos. I think knuckling down on a few key swing tips and not over complicating things is going to be the only way I improve. Danny makes things so simple and I have only ever had success from his videos and no one else’s! Sticking with Danny’s videos alone to get better, here’s to better golf 🏌🏼♂️
I’ve been struggling with irons lately, losing distance and I tend to pull my shots to the left. I’m going to give this a try and let you know, Danny. I really appreciate your teaching. Keep up the good work.
I've only checked out three videos from Danny, and I must say, I learned a lot more from those three about small little details/nuances than from anyone else on TH-cam. Example: I have always questioned "how should I grip my clubs? What are my hand positions? Should they be centered, or more lined up to the leading arm?" Or "exactly when do I shift my weight to the leading foot for irons? Why?" Danny has addressed all these questions in three videos I have watched. Thank you so much. Instant sub and likes.
Great video Danny!! I’m working on this in my swing trying to break years of a bad habit. Very frustrating working through this but when I get the motions and timing right, it’s a beautiful thing. To anyone working on this, hang in there!!
Thank You, Danny ...I have been watching all your videos and like I used to tell my dental students, " when the student is ready, the teacher will appear", well, I've been working on my swing like forever and after watching your videos, I had all the pieces and my game has improved, but I always seemed to lose the power, and one of my friends said to say the 100 and 1, for tempo, but you have just now helped me to understand the shift that occurs at " and", and that's the power piece I was missing, I can't wait to get out and work on that!!, Thank You sooo much for what you do!! Blessings, Doug
Really appreciate the way you explain things. Your statement near the beginning of the video about the ways in which our bodies react if they sense that not enough energy has been created on the backswing is a revelation. Thank you!
I'm so much this guy you describe. I struggled the last couple of years with way too many swing thoughts causing wicked inconsistencies and at times hitting the ball all over the planet. After retirement I made it down to a 7 handicap. I felt I had to play to it every time I played and started trying to find ways of becoming more consistent. Read too many how to articles, watched too many videos searching for the answer. Now in my 70s I felt like giving up the game entirely as I'm Jeckyl and Hyde on the course. Really good holes then things go awry and I try to fix it with disastrous results. I just can't seem to step up and hit the damn ball with out multiple swing thoughts. Been watching your videos for a few months and am actually starting to make progress towards a consistent swings again.
Simple, understandable and very relevant. Ive always “snatched” my downswing. Currently walking round the house going “one hundred and one, one hundred and one”......Top tips as always Danny 👍🏻
Danny your an amazing teacher I restarted playing golf last year after decades of not playing much after a few handicap games they put me on 8 but have gone out to 21 and I started watching your videos a month ago and you have helped me big time and I recently just won a competition by eight shots I am not interested in winning I just enjoy playing good golf and my handicap is dropping fast Thank you 🙏
Danny, well done. I am glad to see your subscriber numbers growing. You present the idea of amateur golf lessons to a higher level. Your detailed explanations help to comprehend your training concept. Much success in 2021, hopefully topping 500k subscribers. Thank you for what you do.
Danny - I asked Santa for an easy way to grasp this lesson and you delivered. I continually struggle with this concept and your teaching makes it very comprehensive. Thank you for all you do! Regards - Cory Ray
Such a GREAT Communicator and Teacher! And I got Two for One out of this video... I see I wasn’t extending my trail leg in the backswing, and the inconsistency and mystery of weight shift and tempo replaced with an AWESOME template: One Hundred... AND (weight shift) One! That’s going in my golf bag for tomorrow’s golf!! Excited! THANKS for making golf more fun than it’s been in years!!
I used the 101 words (quietly) with my irons on course yesterday and wow, it worked so well for me. Thanks Danny. I love your instructions. Wishing all in the UK good health and good golf. From Brisbane, Australia.
I've played golf for 35 years Danny and I have always struggled playing golf with too many swing thoughts .after watching your videos I now swing the club with no thoughts at all,it was scary at first just letting go.no steering of the club, its like being a kid again when I use to play football. Just kicked the ball, you don't think about positions or weight transfer just kick it! What I like about your lessons they all seem to blend with each other, there not random tips.thanks for the video's, keep them coming and happy new year to you and anyone else reading this
Your One Hundred and One mantra has helped me tremendously! So simple and so effective. I do find myself slipping back into bad habits, but at least I have something to come back to. Thanks for all that you do!
Excellent Danny! It’s great the way your videos all link together to give slightly different perspectives on a fluid and powerful swing. I’m finding that if I start the weight shift for the downswing just marginally before I complete the backswing, my wrist cock increases which gives more effortless distance! One-hundred-and ONE seems like a really helpful focus for timing too.
Reason why I have found your many Videos so useful are as follows : I have an excellent Pro - but during Corona there was a vacuum. On top of this I have always taken 50 min lessons as I had so many question - so many questions that we never had time to get into all of them. When I am in doubt off something in your videos - I just find one of your earlier Videos - and there I always find the answers Excellent service 👍
Thanks, Danny - another great instructional video that captures the essence of a great swing. Love the way you recognise we all have different physiques and limitations rather than pushing everyone to be the same as a PGA pro and ultimately failing!
Danny, First off I’ve watched most of your videos and I love your teaching method. This particular video is a game changer for me. I’ve noticed big improvements on the course and can’t wait to refine it on the range. Cheers 🍻 from upstate NY.
Hi Danny I've been playing golf since being a junior (I'm 76now ).I still get wooden and steering the ball .So spend 30min with your "let it go"videos and I'm sorted out Thanks again Danny
Danny, another great lesson. I've watched every single one of your videos, many of them several times. You have a very effective way of getting the message across and it has helped my game enormously. I also like a lot the practice plans you introduced recently to accompany the videos, and would love to have the two missing from a few weeks back (5th & 12th December). Any chance of you posting these sometime? In the meantime, stay healthy and keep up the good work in the New Year!
Over the years I have watched countless instructional clips by many many different coaches....but after first watching a couple of Danny's I have come back and watched many more....he always explains things logically that make good sense.....my biggest problem is that I have always had a very fast swing and struggle big time trying to slow it down as I get older..These routines explained by Danny are gold and I really need to fully adopt them. Thanks Danny, love your instructional videos....have even set up a youtube folder just for your clips.....which I keep going back to.keep up the great work.
Awesome Danny, this video comes just after I realised that I'm now onto the next phase with you. First I was all about ball striking, I didn't care where the ball went, I just wanted to strike it well. Now you've got me doing that, it's time for club path, I've been pull/hooking (with the occasional draw) so now I'm using one of your earlier lessons about club path and that's going well. Once I've mastered that it's time to get to what you cover in this video, rhythm. I know I say it every time, but I just can't thank you enough, it still blows me away that my golf has improved simply by watching your videos, I'm so chuffed. My wife knows my love for you and often teases me about it, so yesterday she revealed she has bought me a lesson with you, I can't wait for all these restrictions to end and I can finally come and meet you and (hopefully) show you how you've improved my golf. Merry Christmas to you and the family Danny, I hope all your wishes and dreams are fulfilled in 2021. Cheers!
I am a frustrated 6 handicap that is struggling with consistent contact. After watching this video today I went to the range, pushed all of the other swing thoughts out of my mind, and just concentrated on the "one hundred AND one" mantra, shifting my weight to the front side before finishing the back swing. What a difference. I was hitting solid shots almost immediately with all clubs. The driver will take a bit more work, but I can't wait to try this out on the course, such a simple concept! Thanks so much!
Wow! Love this clip and i cannot wait to try out this drill and all the moves Danny😃👍. Hopefully, Spring will be here soon in Indiana 😂. Thank you for your wonderful lessons always Danny. Wishing you and your family and friends a Happy, healthy, wealthy & prosperous New Year 2021!
Thanks for all your infectious well presented content in 2020 Danny. You’re my go to for my game improvement. Here’s hoping the world is a better place in 2021. All the best to you and yours. 👍🙏🌍🌈🥂
Just want to THANK YOU, for all the great instruction. With your explanation of the golf swing, I'm finding the right (correct) way to swing a club. Please keep up the great job of simplifying the golf swing. Bruce
Watching you hit the ball in your three "screen"shots, you lifted and repositioned your left foot each time. Is this something I should be emulating? Thanks Danny.
I have devised a drinking game while watching Danny's videos. Every time he says "and away we go", you take a shot of your favorite liquor. If he says "and presto", you chug a beer. I guarantee very lively Saturdays 🍺 😃
I went out on the golf course for only the second time last week. I did not live up to my expectations...really bad. The next day, I reviewed three of your videos (basic iron swing, basic wood and basic chip/pitch). We then went back to the driving range. I didn't rock like a star, but I was much more consistent and straight with my shots...very encouraging...all is not lost. Thanks for your help. I'll keep moving forward...I hope.
Danny is awesome. I've been to high dollar golf schools in Florida and Texas and they never touch on the simple concepts Danny communicates so clearly.
I’m so glad I came across your You Tube video “How to stop RUSHING your Downswing” I think this is one of the most helpful golf lesson and you did a perfect job explaining it. I really feel like this is going to help me stop rushing my downswing. Can’t wait to get to practicing it! Thank You!
Best instruction ever. Starting the weight shift prior to completing the backswing fixed my early extension and is resulting in great ball contact and making a shallow divot after striking the ball. The one hundred and one trick is awesome. Best instructor for a returning senior golfer.
101, 101...what a great swing cue for tempo. For the first time in 30 years, I can actually feel the energy stored in my backswing when I shift my weight forward and drop my arms to initiate the downswing. This might be due to the fact that "101" clears my head enough to actually feel it, mainly as an increase in pressure on the thumb of my lead hand.
Wow did this help me. Between this and the helicopter drill I have never compressed the ball so well. One hundred and one (my new favorite number) was an eye opener. Thank you Danny you are the best!
Thanks Danny.....the one hundred and one was the trick for me. Your videos are fantastic, love them all, but I was having so much difficulty on the down swing. I'd get back nicely, good takeaway, good turn etc but get hung up at the top and was incredibly inconsistent on the down swing. Couldn't time it consistently. I began taking to a truncated, highly shortened back swing so I could get some timing on the downswing. 101 is a game changer for me. Thank you Mate!
WOW!!! ........Danny , this is such a powerful video...I always wondered why not just begin my backswing at the top...similar to a baseball players ready position when hitting the ball......now I understand it's really the swing tempo and the cracking of that whip ( club head ).....I am going out to practice this now......thanks much brother!!!
Thanks, Danny this is one of the best tips, In golf so many things can go wrong when your swings start to fail, it's the little things like this tip that will bring back your swing.
Danny, thanks so much for all these fabulous tips. I went through around 6 months where I couldn't break 90. Now in my last 10 rounds I've had 7 rounds in the 80s. You've made golf fun again! Wishing you all the best in the New Year.
This is fantastic. I am the king of getting stuck at the top of my backswing, which then causes me to rush my downswing. This explains quite well about how the body should feel during transition. Thanks again Danny!
What you said at the beginning about the practice swing being good and then muffing the actual shot, is what I do. Therefore I will give this a go, when we're allowed back out!
This video is brilliant. After watching it this morning I went and hit 30 balls on the driving range doing my best to incorporate your advice. I wasn't too sure if it was working but then I played 18 holes with guys I play with regularly. OMG. I got an extra 50m with my drives, more distance with my irons too. They wondered what was going on and kept on saying "where did you get that distance from"? More importantly, because I wasn't putting as much effort in to get length, the balls went freaking straigh!!! Thank you.
@@DanielMaude to back that up, I just shot an 82 on a 19 handicap in our clubs Saturday tournament. It's amazing how much easier golf is when you hit fairways! Thank you again.
Hey Danny ,thank you for your two tips :"one hundred and one "and the little move off the heel forward the aim ;theses 2 tip help me to maintain my spine angle and stay behind the ball during the dawnswing. Many years ago somebody told me a similar "mantra" but in french :it was " i am mister tempo" thank you for all
Thanks Danny!!! I got àway from this transfer due old injury in lead knee from golf. You ha have got me back to homeostasis with golf "101". 🙂. I used to hit a full bucket of just 9to3 with the intention of shifting weight before completing of backswing. Now your got me back home 👍👍👍✌️
Hi Danny Another great video on how to manage the energy flow through the club during the golf swing. I could never understand why this holistic approach to the golf swing is not used with all beginners from the get go. You get this right and all the million other smaller pieces can fall into place over time and in context. This approach to learning the golf swing should be a primer lesson for all new golfers and older experienced ones in case they never knew or thought about how energy in the golf swing is created (stored) maintained and released from the body through the club and into the ball from backswing to transition to post impact . Another good tool to understand energy flow is the impact snap device that captures energy flow in the golf swing and helps to understand this concept right in your own home without having to go to a golf course or ball range.
What a fantastic segment on the down swing! I've stumbled apon your videos a few months ago and had learned from every one! Ball striking has improved so much since then, keep up the great work on these videos and thanks for your time!
Danny, the start of this video regarding finding our own backswing terminus + not getting stuck on back foot really resounded with me. I've always had a very aggressive downswing and found it very hard to turn thru. First I realised I wasn't turning my shoulders properly, but now I realise I also don't use my hips properly, which I assume is why I get stuck.? My feel is that my backswing is decent and I can push thru from ball contact s a practice, but what I don't do is join the 2 seamlessly together (if that makes sense). Cheers
@@DanielMaude I really believe it will Danny. Thanks again! I will tell , I’ve saved several of your early videos and appreciate every one of the but for season this one hit my ability to picture myself doing with some practice. Your an excellent teacher. and communicator. Thanks man
Hi Danny, struggled the last three years with the weight shift. Had so many moments on the course where I felt like Tiger and in the next moment wanted to sell my clubs. Inconsistency... The drills in this video changed my golf life completely and now "onehundred and one" is a calm down routine before each shot. Thank you so much, Danny!!!
@@DanielMaude I don’t know if this is possible, but if, I’ll fly over from Frankfurt in summer and challenge you for 18 holes 😀 would be an honor to win and show the success of 101 😂😂🤣
I was on the course today, 5 iron second shot uphill to a hard par four. Stress! So I visualised Danny's beautiful rhythm....so...on the backswing said "Dan-ny" then "Maude" on the downswing. Worked a treat, hit the green! Going to keep saying this when swinging. Ps. I three-putted the green. Of course.
Helpful especially for Seniors looking for extra distance...if you look closely, Danny M actually steps into the shot with his left foot before reaching the top of his backswing .
Totally AMAZING!? This is EXACTLY what I’ve been striving to find in my swing! These 3 triggers will I’m sure really help! Just need the course to open again now!? Thanks, Danny.

So good to hear Gilbert, keep going, you can do this
Simple, understandable and very relevant. Ive always “snatched” my downswing. Currently walking round the house going “one hundred and one, one hundred and one”......Top tips as always Danny 👍🏻
Thank you Jon, all the very best
I am sure my wife could come up with “one hunted and one” things to do as I walked around the house Jon..
Danny your an amazing teacher
I restarted playing golf last year after decades of not playing much after a few handicap games they put me on 8 but have gone out to 21 and I started watching your videos a month ago and you have helped me big time and I recently just won a competition by eight shots
I am not interested in winning I just enjoy playing good golf and my handicap is dropping fast
Thank you 🙏
@PeterElla that’s amazing. Well done. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It really does mean a lot 🙏🏻
My pleasure Cory, happy to help
Going back through your lessons makes it all the more clear how much I need to convert my garage into a practice studio 😀.
Do it Graham, its a game changer. I feel incredibly lucky to have built mine
You are one of the best teachers online. Thanks.
Really kind of you to feedback Israel
I'm a full time "mauder", I find your videos are almost tailored to me week after week. Another fantastic video Dan. Roll on the range Wednesday
Have a great session Lou
Such a GREAT Communicator and Teacher!
And I got Two for One out of this video...
I see I wasn’t extending my trail leg in the backswing,
and the inconsistency and mystery of weight shift and tempo replaced with an AWESOME template:
One Hundred...
AND (weight shift)
One!
That’s going in my golf bag for tomorrow’s golf!! Excited!
THANKS for making golf more fun than it’s been in years!!
This tip is great. This exact moment is the most difficult to feel during the golf swing! It will require quite a lot of practice 😊
Absolutely, remember you already do this when you throw a ball
I used the 101 words (quietly) with my irons on course yesterday and wow, it worked so well for me. Thanks Danny. I love your instructions. Wishing all in the UK good health and good golf. From Brisbane, Australia.
Thats great Bernard, thanks for taking the time to share
I've played golf for 35 years Danny and I have always struggled playing golf with too many swing thoughts .after watching your videos I now swing the club with no thoughts at all,it was scary at first just letting go.no steering of the club, its like being a kid again when I use to play football. Just kicked the ball, you don't think about positions or weight transfer just kick it! What I like about your lessons they all seem to blend with each other, there not random tips.thanks for the video's, keep them coming and happy new year to you and anyone else reading this
That’s really kind Steve, thank you. All the best for 2021
Your One Hundred and One mantra has helped me tremendously!
That’s great Rob, let me know how you get on
Reason why I have found your many Videos so useful are as follows : I have an excellent Pro - but during Corona there was a vacuum.
On top of this I have always taken 50 min lessons as I had so many question - so many questions that we never had time to get into all of them.
When I am in doubt off something in your videos - I just find one of your earlier Videos - and there I always find the answers
Excellent service 👍
Really happy to help Kenneth
Thanks, Danny - another great instructional video that captures the essence of a great swing. Love the way you recognise we all have different physiques and limitations rather than pushing everyone to be the same as a PGA pro and ultimately failing!
Absolutely John, it’s so important to understand our own golf swings
Danny finally broke 90 yesterday (87) with this video, 100 and 1 worked for me. Sincerely thank you
That’s amazing David well done 👏
Danny, First off I’ve watched most of your videos and I love your teaching method. This particular video is a game changer for me. I’ve noticed big improvements on the course and can’t wait to refine it on the range. Cheers 🍻 from upstate NY.
That’s awesome to read, well done and thanks for sharing
Hi Danny I've been playing golf since being a junior (I'm 76now ).I still get wooden and steering the ball .So spend 30min with your "let it go"videos and I'm sorted out Thanks again Danny
Brilliant, thanks for sharing Robert
Danny, another great lesson. I've watched every single one of your videos, many of them several times. You have a very effective way of getting the message across and it has helped my game enormously. I also like a lot the practice plans you introduced recently to accompany the videos, and would love to have the two missing from a few weeks back (5th & 12th December). Any chance of you posting these sometime? In the meantime, stay healthy and keep up the good work in the New Year!
Thanks David, hoping to find time to catch up on the plans soon
Over the years I have watched countless instructional clips by many many different coaches....but after first watching a couple of Danny's I have come back and watched many more....he always explains things logically that make good sense.....my biggest problem is that I have always had a very fast swing and struggle big time trying to slow it down as I get older..These routines explained by Danny are gold and I really need to fully adopt them. Thanks Danny, love your instructional videos....have even set up a youtube folder just for your clips.....which I keep going back to.keep up the great work.
Thanks so much Andrew for taking the time to feedback really appreciate it
Even in this lockdown, you give us good things to work on. Very good one Danny!
Cheers Rick 👊🏻
Awesome Danny, this video comes just after I realised that I'm now onto the next phase with you. First I was all about ball striking, I didn't care where the ball went, I just wanted to strike it well.
Now you've got me doing that, it's time for club path, I've been pull/hooking (with the occasional draw) so now I'm using one of your earlier lessons about club path and that's going well. Once I've mastered that it's time to get to what you cover in this video, rhythm. I know I say it every time, but I just can't thank you enough, it still blows me away that my golf has improved simply by watching
your videos, I'm so chuffed.
Cheers!
Thats awesome Roli, look forward to meeting you in 2021
Cheers me too. Also glad to hear you're over your injury and have your mojo back :-)
Love the one hundred and one drill Danny. Hope you had a good Christmas and looking forward to your first video for 2021👍🎉
Really good thank you Martyn, different but good. Hope you’re having a good time
I am a frustrated 6 handicap that is struggling with consistent contact.
And you Kham, all the very best for 2021
Thank you!
I really like to listen to you talk and you get your point through really effectively!
Really appreciate that, thanks for the support
Like the 101 tip Danny I can sometimes rush my down swing. Have a great new year I'm looking forward to more great tips next year . Cheers
Cheers Dave, have a great Christmas and new year
Thanks, your advice has been great, but still having trouble with direction, so haven't quite broken 90
Thanks for all your infectious well presented content in 2020 Danny. You’re my go to for my game improvement. Here’s hoping the world is a better place in 2021. All the best to you and yours. 👍🙏🌍🌈🥂
Thanks for all your support this year Paul, I think 2021 will be a great year
Fantastic lesson - I am now going to watch it 100 more times ... !
All the best Robert
Great vlog and 101 tip - similar one to i use " I love golf" ie positive mindset🙂🙂🙂🙂
I prefer yours Craig 👍
This golf lesson improved my golf significantly !!! Thank youuuu
Informative, logical and simple. As always. Thank you, Danny.
You are very welcome, have a great weekend
Just want to THANK YOU, for all the great instruction. With your explanation of the golf swing, I'm finding the right (correct) way to swing a club. Please keep up the great job of simplifying the golf swing. Bruce
My pleasure Bruce, thanks for being a big supporter of the channel
This is great instruction. One point: Shouldn’t the left heal be allowed to lift rather than actively lifting?
Absolutely, don’t force it to come up, allow it to go if it wants to
Do you mean the left heel?
Love this because I do all the wrong things Danny identifies. ALL I need to do now is fix it..........
Watching you hit the ball in your three "screen"shots, you lifted and repositioned your left foot each time. Is this something I should be emulating? Thanks Danny.
It’s a great drill to feel what I’m taking about, check out the world long drive champion Kyle Berkshire
Thank you. I'm 40 and now going to finally learn how to swing. I haven't had formal lessons but this is a good place to start.
I have devised a drinking game while watching Danny's videos. Every time he says "and away we go", you take a shot of your favorite liquor. If he says "and presto", you chug a beer. I guarantee very lively Saturdays 🍺 😃
Love it, can I play 😁
@@DanielMaude that's the whole point. Not sure what it does to the golf game though 😂⛳
The best online golf coach bar none, looking forward to more in 202.
Thanks for all the support Nigel 👍
Just realised I can say "Alright" on backswing and "Dave" on my downswing - that can be my swing Trigger ! 😎👍
Love it Ken
I took the 101 tip to the driving range at Chelsea Pies this afternoon and it made a MASSIVE difference with my irons. Cheers Danny!
That’s great, it’s amazing how auditory cues
Can really help
I went out on the golf course for only the second time last week. I did not live up to my expectations...really bad. The next day, I reviewed three of your videos (basic iron swing, basic wood and basic chip/pitch). We then went back to the driving range. I didn't rock like a star, but I was much more consistent and straight with my shots...very encouraging...all is not lost. Thanks for your help. I'll keep moving forward...I hope.
Well done Gerry, we all have our bad days 😁
Danny is awesome. I've been to high dollar golf schools in Florida and Texas and they never touch on the simple concepts Danny communicates so clearly.
Thanks so much for the feedback Steve
I’m so glad I came across your You Tube video “How to stop RUSHING your Downswing” I think this is one of the most helpful golf lesson and you did a perfect job explaining it. I really feel like this is going to help me stop rushing my downswing. Can’t wait to get to practicing it! Thank You!
Glad it was helpful Larry
Best instruction ever. Starting the weight shift prior to completing the backswing fixed my early extension and is resulting in great ball contact and making a shallow divot after striking the ball. The one hundred and one trick is awesome. Best instructor for a returning senior golfer.
That’s brilliant Brad, well done
That 101 trick might be the ticket. Can't wait to try it.
Have fun Shem
101, 101...what a great swing cue for tempo. For the first time in 30 years, I can actually feel the energy stored in my backswing when I shift my weight forward and drop my arms to initiate the downswing. This might be due to the fact that "101" clears my head enough to actually feel it, mainly as an increase in pressure on the thumb of my lead hand.
Thanks for taking the time to feedback
Wow did this help me. Between this and the helicopter drill I have never compressed the ball so well. One hundred and one (my new favorite number) was an eye opener. Thank you Danny you are the best!
Amazing to hear well done
Love to hear how you get on Gary
Thanks, Danny this is one of the best tips, In golf so many things can go wrong when your swings start to fail, it's the little things like this tip that will bring back your swing.
Really hope it helps your golf swing, have a great week
one the best instructions on power golf ever!
Thanks for taking the time to feedback
Danny, thanks so much for all these fabulous tips. I went through around 6 months where I couldn't break 90. Now in my last 10 rounds I've had 7 rounds in the 80s. You've made
golf fun again! Wishing you all the best in the New Year.
So awesome to hear Ron, thanks for taking the time to share
Love this video, Danny! I really like "1 hundred and 1" as a tempo controller. I've also heard "strawberry moose" lol which works great as well.
This is fantastic. I am the king of getting stuck at the top of my backswing, which then causes me to rush my downswing. This explains quite well about how the body should feel during transition. Thanks again Danny!
Definitely the best swing teacher on youtube!
Thanks for all the support, I know there are some great coaches here on TH-cam
@@DanielMaude maybe but you're approach to achieving a good swing using natural and instinctive types of tips has worked for me.
One hundred and one for timing and throwing the frizby (previous video) is so easy to remember and I can’t wait to try it out. Feels right for me.
Golf timing 101! Straight to the driving range and thank you! Happy Easter from Sydney in 2023. Cheers - Dave
Your lessons are changing the way I play the game and I thank you for that.
You are very welcome Kevin
What you said at the beginning about the practice swing being good and then muffing the actual shot, is what I do. Therefore I will give this a go, when we're allowed back out!
Hope it helps your golf Steve
This video is brilliant. After watching it this morning I went and hit 30 balls on the driving range doing my best to incorporate your advice. I wasn't too sure if it was working but then I played 18 holes with guys I play with regularly. OMG. I got an extra 50m with my drives, more distance with my irons too. They wondered what was going on and kept on saying "where did you get that distance from"? More importantly, because I wasn't putting as much effort in to get length, the balls went freaking straigh!!! Thank you.
Awesome Peter, well done 👍
@@DanielMaude to back that up, I just shot an 82 on a 19 handicap in our clubs Saturday tournament. It's amazing how much easier golf is when you hit fairways! Thank you again.
Hey Danny ,thank you for your two tips :"one hundred and one "and the little move off the heel forward the aim ;theses 2 tip help me to maintain my spine angle and stay behind the ball during the dawnswing. Many years ago somebody told me a similar "mantra" but in french :it was " i am mister tempo" thank you for all
Love it 👍
Thanks Danny!!! I got àway from this transfer due old injury in lead knee from golf. You ha have got me back to homeostasis with golf "101". 🙂. I used to hit a full bucket of just 9to3 with the intention of shifting weight before completing of backswing. Now your got me back home 👍👍👍✌️
Thats great Daryl, thanks for sharing. Heres to a much better 2021
Great instruction. Simplifies the swing and the concept of stored energy.
Thanks Joseph, really happy to help
Hi Danny
Another great video on how to manage the energy flow through the club during the golf swing.
Great to hear from you Harold, all the very best for 2021
Thank you for the tip regarding my driver. I am hitting it a lot better. Your tip help me understand the launch angle trouble I was experiencing.
What a fantastic segment on the down swing! I've stumbled apon your videos a few months ago and had learned from every one! Ball striking has improved so much since then, keep up the great work on these videos and thanks for your time!
My pleasure Michael, really happy to help
Thanks for the support 👍
Danny, the start of this video regarding finding our own backswing terminus + not getting stuck on back foot really resounded with me. I've always had a very aggressive downswing and found it very hard to turn thru. First I realised I wasn't turning my shoulders properly, but now I realise I also don't use my hips properly, which I assume is why I get stuck.?
My feel is that my backswing is decent and I can push thru from ball contact s a practice, but what I don't do is join the 2 seamlessly together (if that makes sense). Cheers
Thanks Danny, wow this is the best demonstration of how to get into a perfect position I’ve ever watched!
Really hope it helps Brian
That’s awesome
@@DanielMaude I don’t know if this is possible, but if, I’ll fly over from Frankfurt in summer and challenge you for 18 holes 😀 would be an honor to win and show the success of 101 😂😂🤣
I was on the course today, 5 iron second shot uphill to a hard par four. Stress! So I visualised Danny's beautiful rhythm....so...on the backswing said "Dan-ny" then "Maude" on the downswing. Worked a treat, hit the green! Going to keep saying this when swinging. Ps. I three-putted the green. Of course.
Love it 😁👍
Great video on understanding the back swing and down swing. I will try it 101 times.
Helpful especially for Seniors looking for extra distance...if you look closely, Danny M actually steps into the shot with his left foot before reaching the top of his backswing .
Absolutely Chuck, great little drill to help the feel
Love the One Hundred and One drill. Well done sir.
My pleasure Ken, really happy to help
Totally AMAZING!? This is EXACTLY what I’ve been striving to find in my swing! These 3 triggers will I’m sure really help! Just need the course to open again now!? Thanks, Danny.
My pleasure Des, all the best
