@@mjdh515gonna buy this lcd thing as my vita a little bit dusty, this looks like 1 hour and a half assembly for me 😂 as I done 30 minute for joystick replacement.
Thanks so much for this! - it made it so easy to do the replacement - appreciated! ... I now have a cool blue PSVita with a black screen - what a difference - instead of a blue PSVita with a scratch on the screen. Yay!
Yeah I’d say it’s pretty easy. If you’re careful with the flex cable tabs, then it’s pretty much just unscrewing stuff and reassembling. PSP’s are usually more prone to having something break when getting opened up
No, you have to buy the whole front plate assembly or a donor console. It seems there are difficulties with assembling the touch and lcd screens. I haven't found anyone successful in replacing *just* the screen.
@sattyaratowski6098 Yeah, it's kinda unfortunate it was designed this way. Although I think Sony never really intended the vita to be repairable to a large degree.
so all of that for the screen replacement, or is that screen plus digitizer? I'm just wondering if the whole plastic thing was the screen. I have a ding in my screen, but not worth all of the hassle to change it.
Yeah you’d have to go through this whole hassle to replace the screen. The screen is glued into the plastic front frame piece, and it’s not any cheaper to buy just the screen rather than the whole assembly. It’s also quite the pain to get the screen piece out of the frame, since you’ve got to heat it up to soften the glue and pry it out without messing up the frame
You’d just need a Philips PH0 or PH00 (preferably a PH0) and a smaller flat head or something that can pop the rear touchpad off as well as flick the flex cable tabs up
Yeah it can be done if applying some heat around the edges of the screen, just enough to loosen the adhesive. The problem being that the screen pieces aren’t much cheaper than the whole front assembly

Where did you get your screen replacement?
@@SoloMonYamashita-Hermit I get any vita 2000 screens from systems that I part out
@@blakeblundell9001 I was hoping you had those in your website. Hahaha
no way bro did it in 8 minutes 😭😭😭 took me like the whole day
Was it easy?

bro was moving extra quick lol
the video is sped up + he's clearly experienced, but this was still a great guide, gonna buy a new screen soon cuz mine is sooo much scratched
Is it that difficult?
We speedrunning console repair now?! Thank you for this! Was actually a pleasure!
PB: 12 minutes. HAHAHA
Clear, decent guide, thank you!
Finally a decent guide thanks 👍🏻
Definitely gonna take 40-60mins to do on first try but definitely easier than a psp. Psp2000 took me 4 hours

Looking into doing this bro, thanks for the help! Brent.
I have a brand new PS vita 2000 model in white thats never been used. I wonder what i should do with it as ive now had it for 5 years.
Mod it!
Bro too damn confident lol.

Is the quality of the screen the same or you can notice the pixel not that great?
@@MagielynMacalinao it was replaced with a used OEM screen. I haven’t tried any generics
I checked your store, but I dont see screens for the Vita 2000 listed on it. Do you have a recommended seller that I might be able to use for one?
I haven’t tried any new generic ones due to them costing too much. I get all of my screens from part-outs. I’d assume most generics are fine though
Where did u buy that screen and is it oem ? And if not is the quality good ?
The screen is OEM from a part-out that I did. I don’t sell too many OEM screens off and I believe the generic ones are decent quality (just expensive)
do you have a tool list? I'm new and want the right size tools and names needed for full work on this I guess
You’d just need a Philips PH0 or PH00 (preferably a PH0) and a smaller flat head or something that can pop the rear touchpad off as well as flick the flex cable tabs up

Fantastic. Many thanks~
Be careful not to tear the ribbon cables, some of them are very fragile.
Hi can I purchase from Philippines?
Yeah you should be able to checkout with a Philippines address. The shipping cost won’t be the best though (probably $13-$16)
Could you type the size screwdriver?
I prefer to use a Phillips #0

I had it from a part-put system, but you can used OEM screens on eBay

That’s way too much work. Where can I ship mines to get fixed or locally ?
I didn't see a screen for the ps vita 2000
The screen is fused with the rest of the front casing. It can be removed, but requires a hot air machine to do.
Sorry, I meant to say that for your website
Thanks. Your video helped pretty much. (⌒▽⌒)
