Thanks for the comprehensive review I had the same thought about the original not being worth it because I’d probably just want the advanced after the first use. Appreciate it
3:33 you described the feeling of settling your brain into theta waves, which are what you begin to think in right before sleep and in moments of meditation.
Good review I bought a cheap one on Amazon over a year back sure it works but isn’t too intense so I also bought the Shakti level 3 with a matching pillow yes as you say it’s only the first few minutes where you think omg what am I doing once past that point it’s fantastic. I meditated while using it and two hours went by without me noticing. And find I get a fantastic meditation using it. I also got the level 2 mat and tested that after the two hour session I found that intense too. Most likely because of the long session on the level 3 mat.
Thankyou it’s nice to hear you enjoyed my review. I find if I’ve stretched my body the pain Is way less on the mat. Enjoy your mediation 🙏 Ps.. try standing on the mat for some extra pain 😂
I just got the advanced one after using a less aggressive one for years which I still have. It’s no joke, it’s way sharper, but I expect to get used to it pretty quickly. It might be good to have the lower level as well (maybe get a cheaper one)
This video and your narrative is amazing! I literally got mine in Monday and used it every day. EVERYTHING you said wowed for word was experience! That comment about the skin being ripped off is soooo true 😂😂😂
Thanks Michelle. Glad you liked my video. I really appreciate your words and feedback 🙏 Maybe you will enjoy some of my other videos as much 😊 Have a great day 😊
The pain is what you miss team werid as it sounds I have the black one and iv has it for a few years now I wanna upgrade to the indigo pain is all a mindset
Absolutely recommend it! Yes use it most days. Everyone should have one. It’ll last years if not a lifetime. Hang it on the wall and use when needed. Even once a week or less will still be useful. However there’s a caveat, if you stretch yourself, yoga etc you will feel less pain from the Matt. The tighter you are the more you’ll feel pain. Hope that helps?
Some people I have read on Facebook say it does. They say it’s the only thing that relieves the pain. They have free returns 60 day trial on their website, so you’d have nothing to lose financially.
I have fibromyalgia. This 100% works but please beware it hurts like absolute heck . But when I’m having a bad flair I use it almost constantly and I love the relief it gives .
@@prettyinpink6103 😂 thanks. I have since discovered that when I stretch/yoga I hardly feel anything on the mat. When i was tense and inflexible I felt way more pain. I still like it but it no longer hurts like when I first went on it, at that time I was carrying lots of sport injuries.
I was advised by someone who has one to just get the advanced as you’ll get used to it fast and that’s exactly what happened. Two times on the advanced mat and it feels fine. I wouldn’t waste money on the levels bellow unless you are very weak and can’t stand any amount of pain. Anyway pain is part of the experience so just suck it up.
@@experiment54 I wouldn’t advise that to anyone. But glad it worked for you. 👍 Good training is building tolerance…it is not a mat designed as an endurance game. Although many buy it for that. If it feels like it’s ‘ripping the flesh off your bones’ maybe you jumped in too deep? In my opinion, starting appropriately with level 1 or 2 is not being ‘very weak’ but how we train and learn.
@@CrueLoaf by weak I mean if your body is that broken. I have a very high pain tolerance. I actually enjoy some forms of pain due to my martial arts training and exercising pretty much all my life.
Like you, once I get used to the pain I move about to feel the pain again!
😊 👍 funny 😄
@@experiment54 Im the same, had mine for less than a month, and now going for the next level up as I feel I need something more intense
I am a physiotherapist. My wife and I use it at home and see its benefits.
Thanks for sharing. Good to know someone with your experience gets benefit from it. That should reassure anyone reading these comments to try one.

Thanks man this video helped me choose which shakti I should buy
Great 👍 you’ll love it… embrace the pain 🙏
Wait, so the pain goes away after a few uses?
Would you try a sharper (let’s say metal spiked mat) now that you’re used to it?
It’s doesn’t fully go away and the more relaxed and flexible you are the less you feel it. Tension increases pain.
Had the black one (medium) delivered today 👌
How’d you find it? 😊
@@experiment54 used it for the first time last night… Slowly building up and did five minutes. Strange sensation but slept well

So is there any real difference between this and a cheaper mat? I don’t really want to spend 70$ when a 20$ mat is just as effective
According to Twitter and Facebook there is a difference. I think in the comments below there are some that said there is a difference.
As with everything concerning price, the quality is better.
Cheaper mat equals dull spikes, and poor quality
The pain is what you miss team werid as it sounds I have the black one and iv has it for a few years now I wanna upgrade to the indigo pain is all a mindset
Yes pain is all in a mindset. I enjoy it 😂😆
Upgrade. I can’t imagine using a mat less painful 😞
thanks brother one love!!!!!

You should have got level 1! You can’t jump into a level 3 mat and then start complaining. It’s called ‘advanced’.
