    Thanks for going over print quality and not glossing over failings like the tolerance tests. Would love to see a follow up with your eventual success!

    I agree about the leveling knobs! I could never get the bed leveled properly on my former Ender 3 V2 and Ender 5 Plus printers. I installed solid bed mounts on the Ender 5 Plus.

    Thank you! Note that you can print a tool drawer; there are several models on Thingiverse that I selected one from, an extra drawer for the V2 Neo I gave my nephew. It sits on the right side, and has a larger drawer under, and a smaller one above. The larger one fits a glue stick, basically, so not much room versus the original. Still, there may be others; or, design one? :)

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah or just make a box to sit next to the machine. It's still not inside the printer though. Haha I was just kidding anyway.

    I have one of these and I love it! 😉I had it printing perfectly about 15 minutes after I received the box! 😉😁 I am not a fan of the UI on the touch screen. The screen is great!! However, I think some of the UI elements in sections of the UI are too close to the edge. This is especially true of the file selection screens.

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At the moment Cura does not support this printer. That said I really like the Creality Print slicer, which is based on Cura. It let's you send prints over Wi-Fi and control the printer remotely.

  • @barneycarparts

    I got the KE Dec 26th I love it. the Creality slicer would not load on my laptop. I understand the Crealtiy slicer is a older version of Cura. Can the KE profile be found as a file in the Creality slicer and imported into current version of Cura or Prusa slicer? I have unknown 2171 error on the KE using Cura where I have no error using Prusa with the VE profile. Current DL of Prusa has the VE profile.

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure, I've never imported a machine profile to Cura. I think the problem is that the KE uses Klipper and Cura doesn't have an option for that.

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what you mean by "adding a wall to smooth surface". As for vase mode, in Cura and Creality Print it's called Spiralize Outer Contour. In Creality Print you can find it under Special Modes.

    I recently bought the same Ender3 V3 KE and its very beginner friendly.
    I even tried with cheap PLA+ (which is rated for 50-100mm per sec speed) and am printing it with 100mm per sec speed and didn't find any issue. will be trying to increase the speed and maybe the nozzle temp too.
    If any one has any advice or sugestion regarding Filament not rated for speed more than 100mm per sec, please do share with me.
    Also is it okay to print Filament rated for 100mm per sec speed at higher speed say 300 mm per sec (which is default speed for KE).
    Thanks.

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I haven't looked at speed ratings, just printed everything at 500mm/s. lol

    • @DeRock401
      @DeRock401 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I never knew filament even had speed ratings lol. I just go for the gusto. 😊

    • @elus89
      @elus89 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have done most everything at the default profiles, which go from 50mm/sec to 300 depending on which layer or complexity of fill. The speed and even temperature ratings can be pretty much ignored, the faster you go, generally the higher you can set your temp, because the filament doesn't get a chance to absorb as much nozzle heat.

    First time watching one of your videos. I see you have a really nice looking background. And then there is a bench that is chucked full of crap next to where you are working. Again I have not seen any of your other videos but this kinda puts me off as it appears your trying to be professional. Also your bench its self is looking pretty bad with all kinds of stains. I understand if you don't have any space to set up both a work bench and a place to film. Maybe cover it with some contact paper that will be easily changed when it starts to get bad.

    • @johncollins3910
      @johncollins3910 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      LOL I Posted that before I relised it was green screen for the back ground.

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I work with what I've got. I film in half of a 2 car garage that's unfinished. I have been meaning to clean up some of the prints on the side of the table. Technically what I'm using is a drafting table so it's pretty normal for them to look messy haha. If I could afford a nice studio and equipment and decorations I'd love to have them.

    • @johncollins3910
      @johncollins3910 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@3DJapan Oh I get it. Every horizontal surface I own has crap on it. I reread my comment and it sounds like I was more about the quality of your bench over the stuff on it. I really meant that to be the other way around. I was only trying to offer constructive criticism. I am sorry if It come across that I was trying to say" You need to go out and buy better equipemnt/bench" Not at all what I was meaning. I was only suggesting a very economical way to improve your existing equipment. When I said about you back ground being a green screen. I thought it was your actual studio. I was very impressed with that. You did a top notch job of making it look like it was your physical background. This is why didn't understand that you had such great looking studio but the bench had so much cluder on it. For me this was a distraction from the great content you have in the video. I guess for me its the thought of "How serious can I take this creater if he cant take 5 minutes to clean off his bench"
      Now, I just looked at almost all your videos from the last couple of years. You only have a couple of videos without your bench. These videos have done much better in the view-to-like ratio than the rest of your videos. You have great content. And per experts, you should be getting a 3.75-4% view-to-like ratio. What I see is most of yours in the 2% range. I truly believe the way your bench looks, is hurting you as a creator. Maybe you don't care, IDK. But I have a challenge for you: For your next 20 videos, have a completely clean bench besides what you're going to use for the video. Will this increase your subs and Like-to-view ratio? IDK but it cant hurt you.

    why do you talk so much nonsense? It prints quickly with the included filament and demo benchy boat. but he clearly has difficulty with another filament. Also if you import the demo benchy boat into Creality Slicer and then onto a USB, the time is suddenly longer than an hour instead of 16 minutes. and why doesn't creality release the settings so that they can be used for other designs so that things continue to go well

    • @3DJapan
      @3DJapan  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have about 30 spools of filament across various brands. I have tried a number of them at 500mm/s and all printed the same as shown. Of course I used Creality's slicer, that's the only one it works with right now.
