For good measure I look into the K1 series you mentioned but they only have the max version [which is out of my range and I don't think I need that, the regular one would been perfect] . Will sort out somethings and see if I can finally purchase one. Thank you for this video.

    Just got the SE about a month ago as my first printer. Super happy with the ease of use. I also cracked my PC bed after the first print so if you're looking into one you may as well factor a pei one into your purchase price and order at the same time. Was always interested yet intimidated by 3D printers since looking into them in the early days but the fact that I can essentially drag and drop has me hooked.

    • @JamStph
      @JamStph 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you factor the PEI bed in, may as well go with the KE. It already comes with the PeI sheet. The bed sheet with the SE is good to practice on until you get it down to keep the bed from being hacked up though. I have both, and def recommend the SE to anyone starting out. I skipped the CR though and went straight to the K1Max.

    I got CR10SE, rooted the second day with help of your video. Had to do Z offset with paper because the first layer was way too high. Also, I slowed down to 150-100mm for good printing. Installed a third-party cam after rooting and the screen on the printer is not responding after that, if I want to do something, I must do it over fluid or mainsail. Other than that, it's ok.

    Got me with the WRX STI reference. Subbed. The SE is seriously impressive for the price. The KE is also pretty quick for the money. CR10 has less place in the modern market for me. @@kreinova2747 Well, if you alredy have cr-10 se or v3 ke buying v3 se as a second or third printer is ok. You will likely print mostly pla and petg, which I guess it can print ok for up to 200 or 300mm/s, and most of the time all of them will be printing smaller details at lower speeds anyway. The only thing you're giving up on is network connectivity basically, so if you're not as lazy as me to controll printer manually go for it

    Hey, it's me and I brought a CR10 SE recently and I also own an Ender 3 S1 pro, and in my opinion CR10 SE is like an upgraded version of Ender 3 S1 pro with a more capable firmware "Klipper", which gives CR10 SE the capability to go at 600mm/s lightning speed and still maintaining descent print quality, which is somehow mind blowing for a bed slinger, also with some hardware upgrades for running at high speeds. That sounds too good in paper but in reality, for achieving such high speeds without compromising with the print quality, we need more complex and capable algorithms (like which Klipper uses, input shaping, pressure advance, z-offset ,etc) which is totally fine but with more complexity comes more challenges which is a matter of concern especially for beginners, also in my experience with both of these printers I have suffered a lot with my CR10 SE (especially in terms of print quality) as compared to my Ender 3 S1 pro, which prints slowly and uses marlin but offers me much higher print quality, sometimes input shaping doesn't works correctly and my print shows ghosting or ringing which is quiet annoying, especially if you want that print for some decoration or simply if you want it as you sliced, and in that case your precious filament which costs many dollars get simply wasted, and yeah if you guessed it why, then you are right, "because of speed" which Klipper provides and not merlin, I know speed is also important but in my opinion not as important as print quality, and if you agree with this, please help us by contributing some more content related to this topic on, "how to gain better print quality even at high speeds", also thanks to it's open source nature that we can tune it's algorithms as per our needs. As Klipper is becoming mainstream and more and more people were getting into this, our effort towards it provides significant value to our community and helps our "makers of tomorrow", contributing towards better.

    I currently have just the Ender 3 Pro now, which has been giving me such a headache.
    I'm looking to get the KE or SE, and with Microcenter's current sale, there's a difference of about $135, with the SE being priced at $145, and the KE being priced at $279.
    The KE sounds like the better choice, with the small features that will just make it just easier to use, i.e. wireless printing, and all metal hot end, but I just can't stop considering the SE just because the price is so good. I like speed, but not at the expense of print quality. I think more care needs to be taken to make sure that if you slow the machine down it is capable of rendering better print quality results. Slowing down the K1 and Bamboo's doesn't result in better print quality, it actually makes it have vertical print artefacts.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oof that’s tough. I think the main question is do you want multi material? Yes, get the Bambu. No, time to think about it more. Because Bambu makes great machine but they are walled in and work best on the cloud. The CR10 SE is a klipper machine and built well. So you’d be able to make it “yours” if that’s your thing. I think the A1 is a great machine and will be amazing for most folks. But if you don’t need ams and you like opensource firmware, the cr10SE is going to be the winner.

    Mine turned into a paper weight. Got 5 prints out of it then it went kaput! Mechanically, it's operational but, it won't print any files, even the test cat and benchy. During a print job, the printer head will remain in one spot and what would be a 10-15 hrs. print job, the display indicates complete after a minute or two. Meanwhile, the AnyCubic Kobra Max I bought a couple weeks after this one, is running like a champ with no issues whatsoever. I'm going to pack up the SE and send it back to Amazon before my return window date closes at the end of January. Very disappointed with this machine and Creality support was no help at all. While waiting for an answer to what could be wrong, their response was that my service request requirements has been meant and is being closed out.

    I don't get why the CR10 SE is a different product line, it's basically a Ender 3 with more features than the KE. And like you said it's smaller than all older CR-10's. Another machine to add into the equation soon will be the "V3" which is basically a Core XZ K1 without an enclosure. And with Creality releasing an AMS in 2024 - I think the V3, and V3 KE will give the new Bambu A1+AMS a run for it's money assuming it will be compatible with these machines.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I asked. They told me the CR10 has always been a more prosumer-based product while the Ender line has been beginner-friendly based. So, the SE model of the CR10 is meant to fit in the prosumer category over the beginner one. Size aside, I agree with this. It’s quite different. Basically a K1 with cartesian motion. High-end components.

      I am in the same situation, I don't have a printer yet and I want to buy my first one so I can start a business with PET recycling, I am from Latin America and it would help me a lot, on that side I think that the CR-10 SE comes from the factory with the option of PET without having to make modifications, I was between the KE and the SE and after hours I saw that the KE was a better option but then the CR-10 SE entered the equation and I don't know which one to buy

      @@rodrigocontrerasparedes1774 i have done some more research. i talked to friends who have years experience and asked them what they would buy if they would restart now as a beginner without the knowledge and they recommended me the 3 V3 KE. The CR-10 SE makes more noise than the 3 V3 KE and is only 100mm/s2 faster compared to the 3 V3 KE. Also here they say that the price difference is only 10$. I live in Belgium and compared the prices and here is a difference of +100€ and for my first printer i would take the most expansive one.

    Been using the Ender 3 pro for about 4 years now and still went with the Ender 3 V3 SE, simply because speed and quality of the printer don't matter to me. It's ease of use is still an upgrade. @@3DPrintSOS I always wondered why everyone thinks it's important to print fast. As long as it's not your job and you have a certain time in which you have to print X prints, it shouldn't matter how fast your printer is. What truly matters is ease of use and reliability (And repeatablity of reliable print quality). When those come at a bargain of a prize it should be an easy pick😃

    Do you think the plastic components on the Ender 3 V3's affect its performance? I am a mechanical engineer, and in my view if it performs the same, but costs less, its a win.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don’t think it’ll have much of an effect at slow speeds. only if you’re pushing things. The CR10SE gives your that confidence and it’s plastic too. but just enough frame and just enough rigidity
      over the V3

    • @f1hotrod527
      @f1hotrod527 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Actually, there is more engineering required, and tooling costs to go with the plastic components designed specifically for this product. Using standard open source parts like extrusion requires very little engineering and tooling costs. With the plastic components, you get back that cost and it becomes more cost efficient as you mass produce.
