Great video! I bought the V3 as soon as it hit Amazon and it's been hard to find videos that go really in-depth on it like this one does. Pre-ordered your spool stand! Seems like a huge upgrade over the included spool.
Fantastic review. I've been debating which 3D printer to purchase and was so close to going Ender 3 V3, but eventually chose the Bambu Lab A1. I'll definitely be watching your back catalogue, and subscribing for future content 👌🏼
I'll see what I can do! In the video I touch on the KE vs V3 and I would pick the V3 if you can justify the extra $$ it's definitely worth it. The S1 is a bit older and it's still a decent printer but the V3 is crazy fast out of the box with no extra work
Hello. Really enjoyed and learned a lot from your Ender 3 V 3 video. I ordered the spool stand. Could you explain how to configure Orca slicer to wirelessly network with my Ender 3V3? I was able to get Creality print to communicate with my printer with the IP address. I’ve put in the printer IP address into the Orca network page, but they are not communicating. I’m a complete beginner to all of this. Thank you in advance.
Did yours make a like at the back of the print base during autoleveling and input sensing? Just curious cause i though i was having a crashing issue with mine. Saw the nozzle keep going right agaisnt the print base and wasnt sure if it was normal
Very nice .. I purchased (and finally received) the Ender-3 V3 Plus and LOVE it! I had the original Ender 3 when it first came out and have had to add so many updated parts to keep it halfway working -- this new printer took very little time to setup, self-test, and get working. My prints are turning out SO much better. The HyperPLA included allowed printing "Benchy" in less than 15 minutes. I still love my Resin Printer for very detailed prints, but I am totally digging this new filament printer and look forward to doing much larger prints than my resin printer can handle. (I really wanted the K1 or even the new K2 Multi-color, but just can't justify those prices yet as a hobbyist). Only issue I am having are slicers. I'd have to follow what you did and see if I can manipulate. I was able to get the new v5 Creality Print installed, but it still doesn't have the PLUS yet, and for some reason, I can't change the bed size to match mine in the profile. Still playing around.
Can I ask what kind of connector is used on the wire to the runout sensor? I am considering this printer, but need to feed my filament from a shelf above.
It should, worst case you'll need to just print the extension splice to make it a bit higher... My v3 plus just arrived so I'll be putting it together over the next few days and confirming 🙂

Excellent Work! Just starting my 3d printing journey with the Ender 3 V3 CoreXZ. Always did my making the hard way with physical material, but this MACHINE combined with FreeCAD beats it all hands down!
What filament are you using? Sometimes it helps printing at a slightly lower temperature... But don't go too low and get a jam. I think the stringing could possibly also be some moisture... PLA doesn't usually absorb much moisture but I've noticed the longer my rolls sit out usually they get a tiny bit more stringing. You can also look up a retraction test in Orca slicer and tune your retraction settings.
@@EmbraceMaking it was old filament even though I always have it in the dryer box, I got creality hyper pla and all my prints are basically perfect now lol
Would you be able to share the print file just for the Runout Sensor Harness Extension? Looking at this Core XZ as a printer option and would probably mount filament spool on a Skadis pegboard above printer.
I’m debating on either getting the Ender 3 V3 or the K1C, if you were to pick just one, which would you recommend? Which one is the overall winner? That’s the one I’ll buy I don’t mind price
@crowndcrusader2341 it ultimately depends on your needs and budget...if you do not need to print in ABS or ASA, I see no point to spend almost $200 more.
@@EmbraceMaking thank you so much for your reply. I highly appreciate the both of you and yes I feel like it’s time for me to get an upgrade I’ve had the Ender 3 v2 and it’s been my first printer but I feel like it’s time for an upgrade I just love the fact that you don’t have to mess with the printer as much anymore to print something Don’t even get me started on leveling the bed before every print😂 I appreciate your feedback
Ah okay, yes the top sensor mount is here: makerworld.com/en/models/428902 it will work with the KE without changes. There are two holes at the top that fit the M5 button head screws where the old spool holder used to go on the KE. You re-use those two screws. I am working on the spool stand assembly video right now it should be out pretty soon. There will be more info about all of the applications (including pictures etc) on my website here as I build all of the applications: embracemaking.com/blogs/resources/universal-top-mount-spool-stand-accessories-and-adapters Thanks!
I'm having an issue where mine is running the first layer way too close and don't see a Z offset setting onboard the printer (other than the one you can adjust during print) it would be nice to have a permanent setting with the auto leveling... it's good. Not perfect.
Are you on the latest firmware? I noticed that prior to the latest firmware the offset would revert after every print - now it seems like when you do the live adjust the value is saved going forward on all prints.
@EmbraceMaking that's interesting. It updated right after I connected it to wifi, but maybe I should check. So far that's literally the only problem I have with it. If that was how it worked that would be stellar.
Yes they didn't make the naming that straight forward... but basically... Ender 3 V3 SE is the cheapest one with Marlin firmware, Ender 3 V3 KE is the next step up with Klipper, and Ender 3 V3 is the one in this video with Klipper and core XZ etc. That's what I was saying in the beginning of the video though... I feel like for this one they should have just called it something completely different.
Trying to get "Ender 3 V3 Core XZ" to stick in descriptions, because I got one and researching info on it is a nightmare. It's almost like it doesn't exist when you try to Google it. There is only like one other core XZ printer in production.
Hello, I am Brazilian and new to the 3d world, I bought ender 3 v3 and I would like to know how to change the beak, I have not found any video that teaches. If you can help me I will be very happy.
great video. i recently received my printer and I am a total beginner. would you recommend i switch to something like orca slicer or stick to creality print?
Thank you! You can use whatever you're comfortable with but ultimately orca slicer is more powerful if you're doing more complicated parts and need more options and parameters. So it's worth learning it at some point
i have this exact printer as my first printer. i am having trouble with filament getting stuck in the extruder gears. It currently has a piece stuck there and i don't know how to remove it without taking the entire head apart. I've tried heating it up, forcing it to extrude and pushing the filament. Any help would be great.

I bought the Ender 3 Pro and it was a turd I could never get to work right. I got this printer and it worked right out of the box. I just ordered the spool holder kit for it too.
Hi Chelsey, thanks for your support! Yes the runout mounts aren't included - the premise of the stand is that you get all of the stand parts + all of the hardware for the various runout mounts because the hardware can be a pain to source, so I do that for you - but the runout mounts themselves you print on your own. Since I plan on designing a lot of different mounts and adapters for various machines it doesn't make sense to include all of them since I wouldn't know which machine the customer owns. I assume you own the V3 since you're commenting on this video? You can find the full list of applications and the links to the mounts / adapters here: embracemaking.com/blogs/resources/universal-top-mount-spool-stand-accessories-and-adapters Thanks!

I just recently posted my A1 video and it's a great machine. In the next few days I'm going to post a print head tear down for the V3 for those looking to troubleshoot a jam on this machine
Would you still recommend this one over the v3 KE even with a $120 price difference? This one being more expensive. I'm torn between choosing those two right now
If it's not too late I would still recommend this one given the price difference. The KE is great if you're bound by your budget but I would say this one is worth the extra $$
@EmbraceMaking sadly too late as I got the KE, it's been good so far but there's some occasional fails where it spits a ball of plastic. Otherwise I'm fairly happy with it.
The ender 5 S1 is actually a pretty under rated machine. I'd probably give the edge to the V3 because of the new extruder and hotend design, but I still like the cube frame printers with the bed only moving in the z axis... seems much more stable. Also, on the ender 5 s1 it uses the v wheels instead of the linear bearings... they get the job done but technically the linear rods on the V3 should be better.
I seem to be having a clicking noise underneath the bed of my Ender3 V3 when it moves toward the back of the machine. Anyone have any toubleshooting ideas?
