I stumbled here after watching that Paige's lesson with Bryson. I guess just have to try it yourself to find out which method improves your game

I'd say Bryson is probably the exception. Because one pro does something and finds success with it does not mean that every player (especially recreational player) should.

If you listen carefully to Bryson tutorial on his set up of the lead elbow, he said that u can do either way but make sure to elbow connected to body. 1 swing does not fit all. Trial and error figure out what works for u.

It comes from having too strong of a grip, thus having to hold off a release
