Do THIS with Your Legs for Proper Rotation
มุมมอง 4062 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Dr Tyler Standifird explains how the legs work as a team to help you have proper rotation in the golf swing. When you better understand the relationship of the relative force on the legs and how the force is directed you will have a more stable trunk rotation. That leads to a better golf swing. Dr Standifird is a professor of biomechanics at Utah Valley University and has done a lot of work on ...

"Keep your head still" is terrible advice. In a dynamic and athletic golf swing you transition the entire spine down and left. Let your head move during transition with the proper spine motion! You Need To Let Your Head Move In Transition
มุมมอง 6119 หลายเดือนก่อน
Let your entire spine move to the lead side in transition. Trying to shift weight to the lead side but keeping the head back makes it very hard to have forward shaft lean and compress the ball for pure iron strikes. We show you how to let the center of your shoulders move down and left in transition and this will let you hit the ball without flipping and maintain posture. Check out our online s...

Simple Chair Drill Trains Great Hip Motion
Great drill. as per Brad Wollffs swing. But if it were fro McIlroy's swing presumably you have to initiate the move from a slightly different takeaway position? The weight shift aspect correlates well with what McIlroy says he does. He seems to be demonstrating a similar exaggeration drill on th-cam.com/video/2FUMyA1CVX4/w-d-xo.html at about 1min 44 sec of the practise drills video.but from a slightly later position in the backswing where there is a clear clockwise rotation of the left arm, which leads to the deep set of his right arm at the top of the swing.Maybe we should look for this move in his split hand drill which is also shown earlier in the video. The clcokwise rotation of the left arm is alo now very evident to me in his full swing. Thanks again the reason for his drill is now very clear to me and your instruction has improved my game.
Yep. Stop moving and you get weak hits with a flip and breakdown. I love this. It’s amazing how straight I hit it when focusing on pulling the club left. It’s game changing!
What did you use on simulator walls?
Reeeeeeaaaly confusing
Wish I had this 10 years ago. The intent of a soft left elbow created a more consistent and stable impact for me. Thank you!!!!
Great swing! Tuck right elbow in more on the back swing.
Thanks for the solid data. When you hit a driver, instead of a 9 iron, do you gain ~7 mph in club head speed or is it more like a ~3.7% gain? Thanks.
Man I’m glad I seen this to start this year! Pretty sure Nelly Korda has this ulnar deviation. Definitely working on this
What part of the Lead Foot should feel the most pressure?
Very good presentation. This is my biggest problem. I need to work on this. So many Utube coaches out there, and I like most of them, but this should have more views and likes. I will take this to the range and really focus on depth. Thank you! Keep up the videos, it will pay off for you. You do a good job!
He is a beast 💪🏻that is crazy speed , what workouts does he do for that speed
I’ll pay $5000 if you get me to swing like that
I get way more clubhead speed with a stronger left hand grip as I dont have to cast too early
This was a very helpful video - Nice Job
Enjoy your video's - Nice Job!!

A very helpful video - Thank You
Great Video
I liked the stop the inside takeaway video. This video gives a total description of the swing. I have been trying this with good success, need to keep practicing the moves and get confident in using at full speed. Thanks for these little moves to make golf more enjoyable. I came 2nd in a competition today using it so very happy😊
Bryson need to win The open in Europe to complete his name for being one of greats😅
funny thing. i find working my woods inside i hit the ball perfect with a little draw but not my irons. it just goes to show you that there isn't one swing for everyone.
You may find that the longer the shaft the more you may be able to do OK with some inside takeaway. Generally we find a takeaway that comes up on the shaft is a stable point to do the lift and turn portion of the swing from. A longer shaft has a more shallow address angle of the shaft so it is a little more "under" that what you would have for an iron with a shorter shaft. Perhaps that is what you're experiencing.
his swing is still too layed off.
Agree - but it is progress for a single session. Next time we will focus on some right arm rotation adjustment to help even more on the takeaway position.
@@AltaViewGolf other than that very good lesson. Thanks
You are saying the wrong terms
I wish you went through downswing feels. I don’t know what to feel. I need a more in-depth perspective
Just had my first flightscope practice last night. This is what I found. My path was very consistent at 2 to 3R. My face angle was a little less than that but still R. I turned my top hand over just a touch to the right and reduced the face angle below 2. Very straight ball fight but still not opposite. This really helps as it confirms what i thought. My path is so consistent that just a slight grip correction will adjust the face to be more left.
I figured this out just trying random things and noticed a faster swing speed and more powerful contact. I think of it as thumbs point at the ball at impact.
Well done. A wonderful, clear explanation. This is right on. I practice this way indoors with Garmin r10. I like to keep path 5 degrees or less with face angle a little less in opposite direction. Basically a form of biofeedback. If I were to add one more metric, it would be angle of attack around -2 to -4 degrees with an iron.
I got a dupe off Amazon for $30, and it is awesome. Easily the best training aid I have ever used
Characterise thisnis another talking video. Just like the others.more actual hitting of a ball guys. Its simple. Less talking. Hit about 5 and explain and the manner in which to get to the peak force as hitting a ball
Too much talking. Hitbthe nball and slow mo some to be informative. Way too much talking
Where have you been? This is an “ah ha” moment for sure. Now the problem is doing it when you’ve never quite done it as you say! Thanks for the information! I will try this tomorrow on the range and hopefully hit it 300+ yards.😂😊
Excellent video thanks. How tall is Nathan? Is he saying he's not applying force with his hands through impact?
some ppl say the power is generated by pulling the arm down, some say it is from the flipping of the arm release action, some say it’s from pushing up the feet onto the ground. But this is more in line with what we see from all the pro golfers
Hey, do we then basically fall into the left foot and then jump? I have been doing that, but i hear people say to push hard with the RIGHT foot.. so are we supposed to push hard with the right foot in transition, and then push hard with the left foot? Or are we just pushing a bit with the right foot in transition just to recenter and fall toward the left leg? Are the right foot not creating any speed ay all? Is it all the left foot? I am hitting my pw 140, but my 7 6 and 5 iron all goes 160-170 yards.. and i have not gained any distance in 2 years. I have been falling to the left and jumpinh from the left foot, so i am thinking of trying to use my right leg more actively, bit i do not understand how much we actually push or when.
Very good illustration by both of you. Thanks,
great visual
The music is absolutely brilliant, really loved it😊😊😊
Isn't flipping thumbs up and down too?
Love it guys. I think an important distinction is “when” to add speed w this feel. Right as momentum is about to force your thumb down (another important part, not you, momentum) you can add speed, just like pushing a kid on a swing to get them higher. Feeling the thumbs go up and down is the hinge then the rehinge is the key to my golf swing. Good stuff guys.
Assuming center strikes Face Angle needs to be 1/2 of club path to hit quality shots. Example a club path of 4 would need a face angle of 2 for a push draw. The more loft the club has the less the difference between face angle and club path matters. It’s why you can hit a bigger hook with a 5 iron than a sand wedge. Basic d plane stuff. If you have a club path of 5 with a face angle of -2 the ball is starting left of target and hooking left of green.
Great video guys trying to fix early extension I was just pushing both the right hip back and then the left hip but this seems a lot easier, in terms of the backswing how should the right leg work? Also at what stages in the swing should this be happening?
Great great leason gents .
When I start turning my leading shoulder during the takeaway, I move forward (head, knee) Not sure what I need to do. Maybe one piece takeaway without move forward? Any suggestion. Thanks.
This is a great movement I discovered on my own and did not pay any attentin to it. However this early presssre in the left front foot does not only cause an inside takeaway it also leads to thrusting pelvis and head closer to the ball during backswing. Great video- again its all about when those movements happen in the swing, rather then restricting it. Cheers
any drills specifically to cement that driver feeling?
I like this feel but seems like it would be hard to close the club face with this move . Is this only way to close the club face would be rotating hard . Because this move will def leave the club face a little open a little
Be careful! I sent back the item back and have not received a refund (4 weeks later). Horrible customer service. No phone number and no return on messages/emails.
Ive just watched three other videos and they all say point your elbow to the target???
Have a tendency to roll early in the backswing. Thumbs down to initiate my swing seems to sync everything up. Thx.
