I bought a 38mm for my 91CR500 definitely got better mileage & bike ran flawlesly did a rebuild at 2.5 years and found during tear down that at the factory when they installed the fuel tube it tore a o-ring I could see the piece of oring under the flange of tube that fits into the carb body making me think a 3rd oring was needed which cause some confusion, I think Nathan thought im a idiot anyway after closer inspection I found that the piece was torn from 1 of the 2 orings long story short I bought a metering rod for my son 01 250 along with the rebuild kit & im sure i'll be happy with it on that bike.
STIC Super X was the go-to over my Smart Carb. IME and others, it has been a high performance upgrade from low rpm to high rpm. Going on 4 years with STIC products and the bike runs like it has a perfectly tuned big-bore kit.

I also have this carb. No difference in milage and power but it's much easier to kickstart it ( honda xr 400) , easy tuning
