Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

Peter, As you know, but just a reminder as someone who lost a parent as well, your dad is watching and smiling and holding you and Elijah in his arms and will be with you all as you travel through life. :) Beautiful beautiful moments.
I love how ollie is absolutely the over protective big brother. Watching every single person as they hold his baby, making sure his baby is ok.
Definitely doing his job looking after little brother.
Mary just radiates joy.
5.5 minutes of me crying 😢. I think it’s the grandparents being so proud of their babies having a baby, then auntie comes and she gets to share the joy of motherhood with her sister…. Mr. Elijah I think it’s safe to say you brought a lot of joy to not just your family, but all of us your parents allowed to witness the gift that is you ❤️

I feel the same way it's such a beautiful gift that they share their moments with us. It brings tears to my eyes every time I watch their videos cuz I know how it is to be chronically ill and not be able to have a child of your own but for sweet birth mother to give her child to another to raise their own is the true definition of unconditional love 🥰

This video made me cry the hardest. As a parent, you will find out one day what it is like to watch your child’s dream come true. And I could tell your parents were feeling so much love and joy for you. And then of course there is the bonus of a new family member.

I am crying. Many years ago that was me and my husband. I adopted two children and then had a child at 41. So I was a mom to 3 children. God is good.

Today we had to put my 94 year old mother onto Hospice. It was such a sad, emotional day. But this sweet video really lifted my spirits and reminded me that even though there is death and sadness, there is also hope, new life and joy!!💕

oh WOW. I just sat here at my desk bawling. Elijah is so loved. I know his birth family must be going through different things that I can only imagine, but I just thank God that they chose you two to be parents of this oh so lucky little boy. Seeing the family meet him for the first time is just so sweet I could hardly stand it.

😭Tears of joy. I remember meeting my nephew for the firet time and held him after I learned I would not be able to have kids and there is no cure for my rare medical conditions. I cried and cried tears of joy and happiness. And tears of mourning for what I would not be able to do with my life... To be a Mom. I took all the moments I would to hold him, talk to him, love him with all of me. He is 4 now and the relationship I have with him is priceless. I love being called Aunt Izz (He couldn't say Liz when he was little and Izz has become my name. Lol. Better than Aunt Wizz... Lol.)
He prays for me when Im in the hospital. He asks questions about why I have to do certain treatments. Why we had to delay Christmas 3 weeks because I was in the ICU with (NON COVID) pneumonia because of my lung and heart disease. Why I couldn't breathe and needed an oxygen mask and couldn't talk much. And, best of all he tells me that he loves me no matter what. My brother had another little boy 16 months ago so now I have two blessings.
Watching you all since the first video, the joy and, now, HOPE for the future is beyond what I can express. Thank you for sharing it!
Maybe I will be a Mom some day. But in the meantime I will love my Nephews with all of me. Encourage them in all they do, share Christ with them and spoil them! A perk of being an Aunt! 😉😄
