Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

I can’t believe how big Elijah has gotten! you are both such an inspiration and amazing parents 🥰
Just a little FYI about dryers and heating elements. If yours if burning out more than likely the lint in your venting trap is preventing it from venting properly. We almost had ours start on fire. It melted the mother board and fused the wires inside together and you could see it was about to start on fire.
Oh, I like the puzzle idea to keep busy! We met our son through adoption in 2019 after only a few months of waiting. We're currently a waiting family to adopt a second child, and this has been a much longer wait. Needing some new hobbies to keep my mind off of everything after my son goes to sleep in the evenings!
It would be really sweet to me Elijah‘s first birthday party theme puzzles. Because it was the theme behind the adoption when the adoption got started.

I love that you are remembering to not forget to add milestones to Elijah's baby calendar. As the 4th and final child of my family, I was excited when my mom gave me my baby book. Then I opened it and it was completely empty except for the Name and Date of Birth! 😭. My month said well it was written on the calendar. I said where is the 1966 calendar? She said I don't know. I guess it was thrown away. 😭. I find it funny, but still miss the fact that I couldn't read my milestones. Issues of being the youngest. They always say the youngest is spoiled, but it can be rough. 😃
He is growing so fast. Love his new outfit and his shoes. I can't believe how he looks around. Just wait till he can crawl all over the grass.
It’s hard to believe Elijah is holding up his head. And already laying on dad being in a hammock. So now comes out the truth of doing the puzzles.😉 you both are very good super sweet parents.
My Joy, Gratitude and Grit Mug and tote are my favorite products. Mug is so cute because the saying faces me and it's really good quality and the tote bag is heavy duty canvas, a bit small for me but so cute!
I would check out some Ikea options for your cabinets, or habitat for humanity for kitchen cabinets.

I had a wonderful reunion and trip to Cambridge and Boston. Everything went great until I had to struggle a bit driving home from the airport at night because of developing cataracts- oh aging! I used to do a lot of puzzles and crafts, but it is too stressful because of compromised eyesight. Everything has a season. 500 piece puzzles were always my favorite too. 😀
Wish you guys were closer, my boyfriend is in construction and just got rid of a whole house full or cabinets and shelving! That being said keep your eyes on places like offer up!

That’s such a cool idea. I just had a thought though, what if instead of some of the cabinets you had draws (if affordable). I know at least in a kitchen I found it much easier to reach stuff and neatly organise and store stuff in draws compared to cabinets because I don’t have to get done on my knees and reach my arm in to find something that’s gotten lost at the back. Anyway just an idea but I guess it depends on what you want to store up there and what used cabinets you can find ☺️.
I know you have probably figured out your storage cabinets by now, but I wanted to pass along that the Cary Restore has a bunch of kitchen cabinets including new ones!
I do puzzles frequently. They are therapeutic.

Yeah I had to replace my refrigerator then my washer the next month and it all started with my oven as well🙄. Yeah the cubby cabinets sound good but Peter should make them .that is a baby rocker
Plus, it gave you something to Vlog about. 😂 And then Peter said basically the same thing I just wrote.
Why can't you just use the big walk-in closet storage area? It already has some cabinets, you could just add some more along the walls where needed, and it would still give you the whole rest of the upstairs for guests/office. I agree with keeping the guest room on the 3rd floor. If you swapped them you'd have to walk though the guest room if you wanted to work and they were sleeping.

You two are the absolute best parents Elijah could have. He is such a lucky baby. With his size and his strength in head and neck you´ll never imagine he is just 2 months old, amazing

Is the white thing on the wall of the 3rd floor space an a/c unit? I would think that would take an awful lot of juice to cool off that 3rd floor space in the summer wouldn't it?

@@sailorbrite I asked, because they are contemplating using that space more than they have been for a work space. Since they are usually concerned about watching their pennies, it may have been something that they hadn't thought of --- plus if it's too hot....they might find it very uncomfortable to work in. They certainly didn't need to be interpreted as controversial or argumentative questions. I had the same type of 3rd floor set up in Evanston, IL .... so I know our experience with summer temps of the midwest. All's good Kat..... 💜

I like your idea for the 3rd floor. Elijah's getting so big, I was noticing how he was using Peters waist band to hold himself up. We're having some nice days here in Mt but today is dark clouds and over cast. I think it's going to snow again.
My red " laugh every day with Ollie" bag was just the greatest for my trip . It zips up , has an inside zipper pocket, very roomy and light. Your store stuff is a lot of fun and inspirational too. The t shirts are great colors and so soft and light. 😀

I don't shop there, but know several who do and say that they find stuff really reasonable there. Good suggestion for them to check it out! 💜
