Pound for pound….Inspire especially the Costco version ($1000-1300 depending on the location) if you are considering value for what you get as well as fitting into a small corner. If cost isn’t a factor Rep rack with Ares or Athena is hard to beat. Inspires version with smith machine does look good for bodybuilding especially but I’ve never tried it.
Thanks for this review, as well as the Bells of Steel one. I just bought this one while they ran the 10% Black Friday sale. You mentioned the handles it comes with are not the best. What company makes the best attachments to purchase for this FT-3000, if REP's are not ideal? Looking for several attachments, not just the handles. Thanks again!
Would love to see the review of the Titan model. I was hoping to someday buy the Titan Nemesis but then thought it was discontinued up until a few weeks ago when I received an e-mail from Titan. Keep up the good work.
Good review ! I’m 5ft7 10st with an 8ft roof , would you get the 5000 or the 3000? If I get the 3000 would I still have the range of motion to do bicep curls / tricep push downs an cable flys, Thanks
Looking between specs of the 3000 and the 5000, there really isn't a big difference. Something like 4 inches of width and depth, 10 inches in height, and 25 additional pounds of weight plates. Both of these are compact against most of the other popular functional trainers out there. I think I'm going to go with the 5000. My space for it is small, but just a few inches isn't going to matter much at all.
Love getting another Gluck review...even if it is from Adrian and not Wynie JK! Edit: After watching, can confirm, great review and a nice option for smaller spaces.
I’m definitely interested in seeing the Nemisis review. I haven’t seen too many single stack functional trainers with that style arm system in the budget price range. One quick question, is the cable thicker on the FT-3000 than the Ares?
Okay so my ego wants the 5000 2.0 but I am a 5'7 130lb female who really enjoys lifting and having a sweet home gym. Would this be plenty for me or should I go big or go home. The extra $500 isn't a factor.
If money isn't a factor the 5000 is a better machine but my buddy is 6'1" 250lbs and a very strong man and he absolutely loves his 3000. I'd get the best I can afford but I think you'll be happy with either.
I bought an on sale inspire piece from Costco a couple years back. My only gripe with it is the pos included pull up bar, but I really can’t see myself needing more than what it offers.
I agree that the FT3000 is prob the best compact functional trainer. The weight break down is awkward. Worked out on a FT5000 for the first time a few weeks ago. Awesome equipment but it really throws you off if you are t used to the weight increments.
I would love a dedicated functional trainer, but no room. Luckily Rep has the Ares, which works great for me. With more space, I would just get the sectorized lat pull-down and low row on the rack and a dedicated FT-5000v2.
FT3000 2.0 + Selector Lat Row Attachment vs. ARES? I am leaning towards the LAT ROW + FT3000 just because it seems like the ARES really hinders work that can be done inside your rack...
I always recommend a good dedicated unit over the Aries if you have the space. The Ares is great but more limited vs something built specifically to be one thing
@gluckgym received this product as a gift in July. I have not used it because there seems to be a grinding noise when trolley is moved up or down. I did lubricate it. Does anyone know what can cause that grinding / scraping sound.
Careful when doing seated rows like Winnie did at 1st that's how I pulled my back out with that wide foot placement, but i also wasn't doing a controlled back straight up movement like her 👊
Hey Gluck! Your review on this has made me seriously consider purchasing this. As a man who has a pretty long arm span at 6'0, would I do better with the 5000 over the 3000? I'm leaning towards the 3000 for the price but I'm happy to shell out the 500 if it's absolutely necessary. Love your content man.
The 5000 is the better of the two so if you can swing it I would. If you need space savings the 3000 is great and actually it's a really good trainer either way but the 5000 is just a little better.
Hey Gluck😊 Do you have any opinion on Rogue’s Olympic Plates? Not the USA version, but just the regular ones. I’m looking for the most affordable/decent quality plates I can find, and I don’t really care how they look.
Those are generic standard plates and you can order basically the same imported plate from many companies. Rep Rogue, etc. I wouldn't put any value in the fact Rogue is selling them. You can try the used marketplace, plates like that are very common.
There's some other skills and things you need too but it's as simple as working two full time jobs for a few years in the off chance your channel catches on.
It really angers me that U still have to buy pieces like this to review when Coop at GGR gets EVERY piece free. Yeah, he's been reviewing equipment longer but U and Wynie have Arrived and it is past the time for companies to realize this and they should be standing in line to send U free stuff to review. Sorry for the rant but I'm only speaking the truth!!!!!
@@GlucksGym I'm Glad they sent it free but I just don't understand why Y'all have to buy any equipment. I got the inspire version for $800 at costco about a year ago. Works as good as the first day

Thanks. It'll probably be a few months but I'll get there
I prefer the version 1 because the trolley cable goes lower than version 2. I do belt squats so version 1 is perfect for me.
Great review buddy

What is the thickness of the selector pin? Wondering which Gympin would work best.

How do you compare the Inspire FT3 to the Rep FT3000?
I bought an on sale inspire piece from Costco a couple years back. My only gripe with it is the pos included pull up bar, but I really can’t see myself needing more than what it offers.
You delivered the line luckily the first time on my fourth time like a legend. Lmao

Can you review ironax xft?
Great review as always.. For the algo!!
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing
I have REP FT-3000. Do you think this will hold up if I hang my 80 lb heavy bag from pullup bar?
how does this compare to the inspire FTX?
This is a much more polished and robust design but the Inspire, especially on sale from Costco is hard to beat for the money
I would love a dedicated functional trainer, but no room. Luckily Rep has the Ares, which works great for me. With more space, I would just get the sectorized lat pull-down and low row on the rack and a dedicated FT-5000v2.
I debated dual Athenas and the lat pull /low row but never pulled the trigger. But maybe if I convince myself it's for a review... 🤔
@@GlucksGym I thought of that option and would prefer it. Just the height might have been an issue.

We're talking about the same plates right? Because the Rogue Olympic Plates don't have a logo on them
@@GlucksGym yes, I was just saying that. More of a “Rogue Logo” implication bc they’re selling them I guess.
At 6'2, is the width okay for cable crossovers?
When is the Titan Nemesis review coming?
When Titan sends it 😂
Are you reviewing Rep blackwing bench?
Yep!
Where did you get that cool shirt?
My friend found it at a thrift store
@glucksgym rep or bells for a very limited space that needs to be tucked into a corner?
They're similarly sized but Rep's is a little better made so unless one is on sale that's what I'd go with. Tbh they're both very good for the price.
@GlucksGym maybe I can also get the cables on correctly on my first try (4)!!
Good luck 😂
Huge missed opportunity at 5:38 with the effective height of 69”. Not sure how you missed that one…
