I'd really like to see some hands on with Force USA's C10 Sliding Bench. & see if it would work with an Ares or an Athena setup. A sliding bench able to do hack squats/leg press/leg extensions & leg curls with a weight pulley system? It's tempting but if it works with the REP ecosystem as well then it's an instant purchase
They really need to cap the spring pin with umhw- that’s a super easy fix (if done at the factory) to prevent marring your upright when moving the trolley. I resorted to umhw tape on the upright
I’m looking forward to see what you end up building with these parts! I also can’t wait to see your reviews on the Rogue FM trainers while I eagerly await mine to ship!
Got the rep pr4000 standalone storage. Instead of doing the 60" uprights i went with 80" mostly to see if i liked rep enough to upgrade my rack to the pr4000. It was spendy but super solid and nice. Im going to go ahead and get thr pr4000 and put the shelved off on the side and copy the fringe dane by putting the bumper plate storage in the rack. That way i can push it all thr way up to the wall and havr my bumpers easily accessible.
I wish I had the space to put this in my tiny home gym, still looking forward to upgrading my BOS cable towers for some wall mounted athenas though, that and a pair of eisenlinks (or Reppins if they go down in price by black friday) and I'm all set for the rest of my life.
I like it. The only thing it’s missing is bench press and squats like the Aries. Not sure how to incorporate that. Rolling up an adjustable bench for incline, decline, bench etc. along with barbell holder for squatting 11:25 would be great. Not sure if it’s even possible to add.
How do you set up for a fly with moderately heavy weight when the handles are that far apart? I don't do that exercise but seems really inconvenient. You want a stretch but I think there is a point of diminishing returns. I am with you that rack width is more than adequate enough.
Hey Gluck, I love your videos. You do an awesome job. You should look into the Titan Fitness Plate loaded assisted dip and pull up machine. It's 999$ and it's the only reasonable sized and priced assisted pull up machine that looks nice. There is a weird flybird one that's 400$ but it doesnt look as attractive as the titan one. And then there is a powertec one that's 850$ but it has a super long arm that you need to put the weight on, taking up a ton of room. I imagine it takes less weight to assist you due to a long lever arm, but I hate how much room it looks like it takes up. Anyways! Keep up the good work! I just bought a Rep Blackwing and I used the affiliate link from GGR, but when I buy the Ares 2.0 in a year or two I promise to use your affiliate links if you have one for it! Much love and keep up the hard work!
I would like to see you remove the L brackets and see how much clearance the 72" shelves have with the Athena stacks on a 16" depth 4 post. I have seen a video of the 41" shelves clearing but it is very close
Have you considered reviewing Mutant Metals Snap-Back Rollers? I've always been intrigued, but I can't convince myself it solves a problem that I probably didn't have to begin with.
You've got several options. Check out the new Body-Solid GLEG bench that was at Home Gym Con. I took my Ironmaster Super Bench and replaced the bolts on the leg attachment rollers with M8 eye bolts. You then run extension cables from the low cables at attach them to the eye bolts. But I've got the Ares 2.0 coming and I'm dead set on figuring out how I can get the new Force USA C10 sliding bench to work with it. It'll easily do leg curls/extensions but I'm thinking with the REP utility seat as a foot plate I can use it for leg press and hack squats.
Really wish could have seen more of the dumbbell shelves. Considering selling my dumbbell rack for those just to clear up some floor space but can’t find any reviews on them at all. I do have the urethane ones too tho so not sure if having saddles or not is really going to bother me that much lol. Verdicts unclear. Either way great video. Always watch yours when they come out.

As a personal trainer, strength coach and medical exercise specialist who coaches from his home gym, I prefer everything separate rather than a single rack and functional trainer combo. If you didn't need the rack, what's the rationale for going with dual Athenas vs. an Ares 2.0? 🤔 I like what you said about keeping the cable system off the rack because I'm trying to figure out how to work jammer arms into my Ares set-up. But cable-wise it seems you lose a lot more functionality with dual Athenas vs. Ares 2.0.

Question, what is the exercise you are doing at 10:23 called? It sort of looks like a shoulder raise, chest press and straight arm curl all at once. Anyway, just trying to add some new exercises to my routine and wondering what it mostly targets. Thanks.
If you mean the tower or rack integrated options then as sopn as they get here. We ordered them right when they became available but Rogue seems to have delayed them a bit to dial things in.

Rogue has dropped more in the past 6 weeks then they have probably in the past 2 years. Rogue was always far ahead of everyone else.
