I thinks it's worth considering the new iPhone SE 2022. Especially if there's someone who still prefers a small phone with a home button but with faster chipset and 5g connectivity for future proof.
I had the iPhone SE and two of the SE2 and I’ve just ordered the SE3 with unlimited data - I just love the home button , tried newer designs but I just can’t get on with them. I could have the latest and greatest if I wanted, it’s not about the cost , the classic home button design just works best 👍
I like an iPhone with a home button in the middle. It's convenient. Fingerprint scanner, but the 4.7 screen looks too small for today's mobile phones. If 5.5 is good, I want an iPhone se4 in the shape of an iPhone8 plus.
The iPhone SE 2 is a Superb Value for Money. I have been using it for a Month now and Its So Good! I switched to It from An Android Phone And The Speed Difference between them is a Major Upgrade!.
Im debating in whether to get the Galaxy A52 5g or the new SE. I know the SE would be better optimized but I just hate that the screen is so small and im pretty sure it's from the iPhone 8.

You said that it's a decent upgrade if you're coming from an iPhone 7 or 8 or older. That's something that meant something to me because I'm coming from an iPhone SE (the first one in the 5S body). So far this has been the only review of the SE 3 that I've seen which actually told me something worthwhile to me.

I just ordered the SE3 and I’m coming from an SE2. Both in black aka midnight. Thank you for comparing the 5G and 4G speeds; NONE of the other review videos touch on that and it’s really annoying as to me; this is the biggest reason for my upgrading. I had an iPhone 12 for awhile and while that phone has even faster 5G; I knew at that point that I had to have a phone with 5G. I’m excited for my SE3 and I can’t wait to experience 5G again like I used to. I notice a massive difference between the two.

yes I agree with you....I noticed that many reviewers are negative about the SE3 and they compare the entry level, basic SE3, to the flagship, premium iPhone 13 mini then remark how much "better" the iPhone 13 mini is and how they recommend purchasing an iphone 12 or 13 mini (both were designed as premium phones) for more money. I think some reviewers forget about the idea of buying what you will actually use or need and they focus on the newest features the product offers, instead instead of its value to the consumer.
That's great that you mention that the lower resolution of the SE 3 helps for speed. But speed is only the tip of the iceberg really. Performance in games is dramatically helped by the lower resolution. I recently compared my SE 3 to my best friend iPhone 15 Plus playing Sonic Dream Team and was amazed to see my SE 3 perfoming better despite having a slightly less powerful chip. (A15 4-core GPU in the SE 3 vs A16 in the 15 Plus) Both run the game at 60 fps at max settings but the 15 Plus does stutters way more often than SE 3.
Although I’m trying to talk my son out of it, he is determined to get another iPhone with a home button. I personally think it would be better for him to get a phone with a larger battery. So I’m interested in seeing what kind of battery life the se3 will get.
Yeah, honestly it depends what apps he uses. I have the se 2 and I watch videos for hours and sometimes play games and the battery drops a lot compared to when it was new. I’m still managing to use it but my next upgrade will definitely be one of the ones without the home button
I honestly want to see a replication of the old iPhone Plus sized phones with the home button. EDIT: You'd be surprised how many people I've met who are still set on having the home button, I'm sure Apple spotted this and that's why they've chosen to stick with this.
I went from the SE 2 to the 12 mini. Saw a little more juice in the mini, but it’s hardly a difference. Both phones offer great battery life for moderate daily use 😄 If you’re gaming, you may want to sit close to an outlet 😄
I cracked the back of my iPhone 12 Pro and the TrueDepth camera doesn’t work so ima jus upgrade to the iPhone SE 3 I had the 12 pro for 3 years I don’t feel like fixing it
Everyone dives into the extra stuff first before the phone. We know what we get in the box, for those of us that watch tech reviews because we have nothing better to do with our time - whether that’s intentional or not. 😄
Basically if you plan to use the phone for camera purposes, go for iPhone 11. iPhone 11 will last about 3-4 years with updates. iPhone 11 has more accessories on the market too. Note the resell value for iPhone 11 is also better for the next 2 years than SE3.
That’s actually a great iPhone the se3 for anybody who is not crazy for the camera ,o love the smaller size iPhones ,not heavy and easy to carry especially for small hands !
I got SE yesterday… this is what I found helpful next to iPhone 12 One hand typing is back Need not to lift phone to your face to unlock Battery is as good as iPhone 12 No lag All the new OS futures. Only down side is, I miss gestures from iPhone 12 Funny part is, I bought iPhone 8 then expensive screen protector and back cover for dirt cheap (cause it’s 5 years old accessories). If you want to save on accessories, all for iPhone 8, not iPhone se 2022.

Never been an iPhone guy but I got the SE3 for 50% off by adding a new line for $20 a month to my T-Mobile account. Can't beat the value, $40 per month the phone, plan, accessories, and insurance. Can't best that value IMO.
Just get a iPhone SE 2 and get a battery case and call it a day, got one for refurbished $175, battery case and screen protector just shy of 230. eBay has one 256GB model for $200 flat.

I would still buy an updated 4S. Hopefully Apple makes a foldable that size so I can one hand text and receive phone calls without doing finger gymnastics. I’m sporting the 13 mini and it’s still too big.
Actually older touchID models has a feature, if you doubletap the home button twice, the screen slide down (you will only see the top 50% on the bottom), you are able to reach the upper part of the screen with only one hand. Or at least worked on big screens, i never tried this with my old 5S, but worked well on 8+.
@@Winkoo6 That feature was called ‘Reachability’ and the 5s didn’t have it, it was only the 4.7” devices and bigger that got it. You can activate it on newer devices by sliding down over the ‘home bar’

I used an SE 2020 before upgrading to an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I remember I upgraded to an SE from an iPhone 6 since Hungry Shark Evolution kept crashing 20 minutes into the game 🤣 The SE worked for its whole life but the camera stopped working due to me abusing it. I’ll be nicer to this phone.
The stripping away of the charger & minimal box contents is green washing from Apple and many other smartphone makers. From what I have read the profit margin for retail stores on iPhones is extremely small! By selling chargers separately the stores can make some money. Similar to how printers were being sold with no usb cable in the box. And that was an old trick going back decades.😂

As you are based in Manchester as am I but in the North part about 3 miles from Bury, when I was in Whitefield I got very good 5G speed with EE on my 13 pro and I and going to get the SE 3 as a back up phone and as like yourself nostalgia also Touch ID for me

Unpopular opinion: The overall iOS experience is actually much better in the home-button iPhone models as compared to the Face-ID iPhone models.

Personally i think a clean screen with a frame around it is better than a frame less screen, but which is interrupted by a punch hole or a notch.
I think it’s a great vintage phone to love, and the iPhone SE 2 now a great value added

The classic iPhone design is nice but the gesture seems slow compare to newer iPhones I just prefer the swiping not the home button

iphone 7 has the best selfie camera, comparing to other models, it looks by far the most natural. Others are so filtered it is pain to watch.

U can get nightmode with a payed app but there is still the 12 mini !
iPhone 13 mini will be discontinued in 2024 with the launch of iPhone 16.
