Just got mine and set it up. I’m using 17 of its 64GB. Needless to say, I am not a power user. Transferring data from my 5-year-old SE1 was easy, because Apple wants you to love their products. Connecting to Verizon was not, because Verizon hates you and thinks you are dirt. The 13mini is undoubtedly a better phone, but it’s not $270 better. Buyers should be aware that the phone does not come with a SIM card, so you have to visit your cellular provider and buy one. You can’t just transfer the card from your old phone, because it’s not 5G enabled.
What color have u chosen? If its midnight, done't it make side bezels look bigger? Coz i feel like in red and white u can see edge between display and body, while on midnight it looks like side bezzel much wider.

This is a really great video, Aaron! Honestly, I got disappointed when Apple announced this in the Apple event, but thinking about the phone more made me think that it's actally not a bad phone at all. And the fact that the iPhone SE is at a really good price range for people (including me) who are upgrading from an older iPhone with a home button. Now, yes there won't be really good camera features or all-day battery life, but I bet that replacing the battery on this phone will be the same as replacing the battery of the older home-button iPhones, which is is a big bonus for me in my opinion. And, if I were to upgrade to this phone, I'd pick the midnight color since Starlight is kind of a cream version of white, and Product Red, weill let's just say I just think it's a bad color because of the bad stuff. But anyways, thank you for this video, and it's a good thing you've never mentioned an iPhone that's higher end than this iPhone and comparing it to higher end iPhones.

Only down side is, I miss gestures from iPhone 12 Funny part is, I bought iPhone 8 then expensive screen protector and back cover for dirt cheap (cause it’s 5 years old accessories). If you want to save on accessories, all for iPhone 8, not iPhone se 2022.

I just bought iPhone SE 3 for my grandma she has the the iPhone SE 1st generation and she loves the home button and knowing this might be the last iPhone with home button i just bought it. For my grandma is a plenty good and I upgraded her storage from 32gb to 128gb and I think she used like 20gb that's Bcs she is getting pictures of her grandkids. And yes it might be a Touch ID in power button but for her it's a phone that will last another 8 years with her usage
This phone is for people who is already have an iPad, the small screen and old design are not a problem, the compactness and great chipset are more important
They produced iPhone 8 together with iPhone X and they stopped the sale of the iPhone 8 (not 8 plus) very early during that time. They took back those and that’s why they are still using the already produced iPhone 8 bodies for both SEs.
I've been thinking of getting one of these soon. Upgrading from a 4 year old android that is beginning to fall apart a bit. I reckon I'll get the Red colour.

This phone's display would be bit bigger than the 12mini/13mini if Apple would just put touchID on the sidebutton like the ipadAir5 topbutton. I miss the perfect handy size of the iphoneX, just about the size of the SE2/3, but only disliked the aesthetics of dual rear cameras. I really hope they continue the SE series with single rear cams but make it night mode capable since even the most basic of android phones can do night shots now, either revive the iphoneX with a single rear cam and a lighter battery pack because it felt quite hefty for its size, or revive the XR maybe with touchID sidebutton or dynamic island. The XR is larger so I can't expect them to shrink the battery on that one.
The main thing that draws me to this phone is Touch ID. As well as the form factor. Just based on the pictures and videos I’ve seen of this new phone, it looks like the midnight version has a bit of a blue tint to it, whereas the starlight has a bit of pink or yellow to it. Is that so? I intend to upgrade to the new 3rd Gen se from my current iPhone 8.
I got the iPhone 13 pro back in October, but honestly Id much rather have this iPhone se 3rd gen plus the extra cash. Ive always had issues with Face ID and so I really miss Touch ID!
@@channyproduction4879 I ended up going with the 13 mini since I prioritized the smaller size over Touch ID, although I think I could have gone either way because I don't love the other aspects of the 13 mini (I do love the size though). especially second hand off eBay, you can get some really good deals on the se 3, doing it again I probably would have done that over the mini

I have an anker 30 watt charger and I love it. It is worth the money. I got it on Amazon. It is faster at charging your iphone than that cheap charger they use to put in the box with your iphone. I say go and purchase the anker charger get the 30 watt charger though..
This iPhone SE is only 1.2 x faster than the older SE model which is a little of a let down and the battery isn’t that much longer last than the older SE either.

I tried the new iPhone SE 3rd gen and was unable to use it because of eye strain and headaches. In your video it appears the screen is flickering different colors. I wonder if it features PWM like the iPad 9th gen or if it has something to do with temporal dithering.
Maybe it is temporal dithering? I can't find anything out there on whether this phone has it, but it sounds like all of their LCD phones since the 8 do have it? Do you have trouble with the OLED phones as well, with PWM?

If Apple ever fixed the poor battery issue they would sell a ton of these. But my SE 2 I have to charge three times a day. Switched to 13 mini and make it all day now.

Thank you for this review. My wife appreciates the touch ID still, so I think this will be a great option for her. She is visually impaired so doesn't need all the camera features from the pro models.

But honestly I think apple knows if they did they can say goodbye to iphone 13 or future iphone 14 or whatever they want to call the next one sales since the MAJORITY of people would buy that instead. I mean already enough people would buy this SE. I can only imagine if Apple gives the people what they want and gives an SE Plus and price it at $599
Sorry these instructions appear to be out of date. We’re trying to set up a brand new SE with no existing iCloud account and we can’t get past “Quick Start”. There is never a “Set Up Manually” option. We get a screen that forces us to log into a nonexistent iCloud account and we can’t complete the activation.

I appreciate the fact that Apple now has a 256gb version of the new iPhone se. That’s the one I’m gonna go for.

Definitely picking up one of these for the LCD. I have the iPhone X and OLED display gives me frequent headaches.

I thought about trading my 12 in for an SE 3. Part of me thinks that it would be a horrible idea, but part of me misses the old form factor!
