Which brand new Android are you talking about? At that price there are plenty of "new Androids" that are faster and better than the SE in a number of ways. I like iPhones but thae battery life of the SE is a bad joke in the 2020's and always has been. The Apple battery case does improve things,I've got one of those on my old iPhone 7 work phone that fits the SE. I don't know if Apple still sell those but new mine was $100,which makes the SE even worse value.
I know that this is probably the last iPhone that use the classic screen and home button. I have a iPhone 12 Pro and my wife was using a old iPhone 7 that was having battery issues. The issue is my wife has dementia and has a hard time getting used to the newer tech of Face ID and using the newer phones. When I showed the wife the iPhone SE 2022 on the Apple website she was very interested and knowing her issues I offered to buy it and she wanted me to get it. So I ordered it and it arrived and she took to the new phone without issue. I was just future proofing the wife's phone as the iPhone 7 is really getting on in the years. This was the perfect phone for someone that is getting elderly and having issues with the newer product. Having this should last for a good four to five years.
Got my iPhone SE (2022) in like new condition the other night. No flaws and for only $150 on OfferUp. I'm getting the same A15 chip as the 13 series and non-Pro 14s. If you can deal with the outdated design, getting an SE3 for under $200 is the best deal you can find today. I personally hate Face ID as I use my phone a lot in the dark. I drive at night for work. And the notch can get in the way when watching movies or TV shows. I'm not a big iPhone fan. I only got it because I nearly threw away my Razr 5G by accident. It slipped into a garbage bag after I was cleaning my car's interior and I had to retrieve it from the bin I threw it in. I'll keep my Razr 5G mostly at home for a year since it isn't fully paid off. SE3 will be my main phone for a year or until House of the Dragon airs in 2024. This will be the last to offer a home button and perhaps Touch ID. The SE4 will look more like the XR with likely the same A15 chip. I had a 12 mini and just HATED Face ID. And games like Forgotton Anne don't play properly on phones with Face ID. The swipe up gesture can ruin the experience as that also is the same gesture for volume or brightness for Netflix. It's weird that my $150 SE3 has become my most powerful phone I own when I'm only using it temporarily as a main phone for a year. Offers better value than a Duo 1 at the same price. Even though I'm no iOS fan, if you can spend only $150 on an SE3 with 100% battery health, that's a good investment knowing you will get software support for a minimum of 5 to 6 years. You only need to upgrade twice per decade. A15 will be a beast for years to come if two generations of iPhones used it. SE3 might be the most underrated iPhone ever made and more people will appreciate it once they realize they hate Face ID and the notch like I do or miss the home button. SE3 will be the last of the mid-2010s classic iPhone design. The SE4 looking like a XR will make us miss Touch ID and appreciate the SE3 once SE4 is released next year.
I have both the iPhone 13 and the SE. I use the SE when I want a smaller phone. For me, the phone works fine, and I can get through a day with 40% battery left. I don't really have to charge during the day. Granted, the 13 is a better, more refined phone. But the SE does everything my 13 does in a smaller, less expensive package.
I LOVE the down to earth review. Not a lot of reviews are keeping it real in terms of “the average joe”. It’s nice to see someone actually understanding the market these phones were actually made for. It’s not even to have a positive or negatively opinion it’s about being realistic. High specs don’t always equate performance and they most definitely don’t show what a user’s experience would be. I have had so many android phones and decided to get the iPhone se 2. I have the se 3 coming in a few days. Judging by how happy I am with the se 2? I’m going to LOVE the se 3. Light gaming, browsing, social media like ig and snap and of course hourrrrssss of music and I’m honestly good for the day. I really don’t need all the bells and whistles. I find this ironic as I really thought I did.
When, like me, you have been using a 5s for 8 years with a cracked screen, non-functioning home button, non-functioning camera for the past year, and a battery that lasted a day at most, a SE2022 upgrade seems to be a good idea, uh? 👨
Good iphone SE 2022 - recommend. Very optimal size, finger print reader works well, camera fast, good antena for weak signal areas, calculator on lock screen - practical phone and you can use same gagets from iphones 6, 7, 8 and so as thay are same size.
Personally I think the smaller size and home button is more practical and looks better. The large phones are like tablets and although people are used to all the new features a small percentage of people actually use them they just want them because they’re available.
I had the first SE, and I really hated it, and IOS too. Switched to droid, but after 2,5 years I have SE 3. Why? It has a perfect size, perfect performance, perfect camera (it's not important to me) and the IOS has great features now. My best phone ever.
I think the SE looks awesome for the price. My only concern would be the battery life. I do still love the classic iPhone design as they seemed to have less overheating and apps closing as the newer iPhones with Face ID. Also am I the only one laughing at the whole being eco friendly thing with the charger brick? That’s a clever way to mask taking an accessory out and selling it separately for more money.
viz the charger. The EU has requested that chargers be removed unless they are proprietary. If OEMs do not remove them then the EU will put it in Law. So that is the reason why all OEMs are doing it and why it is now working its way down to the mid-range. There is no great conspiracy here, just the EU doing the science and being told that shipping the charger is destructive e-waste long-term. There will be countries, as there are now, that will ignore the science and not care about the environment as much due to social and economic difficulties and we have to accept that to an extent, but developed nations have no excuse. The exception is proprietary chargers, you can include these as they are innovating. That is why Chinese phones still come with chargers. So, I know you hate Apple and Samsung and the rest for doing this, but it is eco-friendly (pretty obvious it is) and we should embrace that in advanced countries.

First off the iPhone SE2 was a big hit over here in Japan because of the Touch ID and the fact of having to wear a Face Mask 24/7 over here. I downgraded from my iPhone Xr to the iPhone SE3 because of the Touch ID. There are alot of Japanese apps I used to unlocked with Face ID and if I didn't have my face mask off for whatever reason it would lock me out of the many Japanese banking apps. Also, there is an IOS app that is used for the Nanaco card that requires Face ID or password to use also too. Overall, Touch ID is so much better when having to wear a damn face mask 100%.
Getting the SE 3 was the best phone purchase I’ve made in a while. Entering the ecosystem with the cheapest device pushed me to getting an iPhone 14. Can’t beat the 500 off trade in offer T-Mobile offered me.
Believe it or not, this is a great phone for blind people, that’s right, I am completely blind, and I love this phone. I don’t care about the screen size, or really for the camera that much, but for everything else, this phone rocks. Sending many blessings and best wishes, from the blind guy. Peace.

Another great video putting a new product in context with its stablemates, rather than simply going through its feature set. As with your recent blue iPad Air video, I have a good idea where this phone fits the market and what to expect from it. Thanks!
I own a IPhone SE and I do enjoy having the home button to scan my finger print instead of having face recognition. I wish Apple would make an IPhone exactly like latest version of the IPhone13 and IPhone SE built together in one. For example meaning the phone has the whole face screen but also the home button on it like camouflage in the screen. I think it would cool to have the option for both finger print and face recognition 🤔
I just got this SE, after years with the "first" SE (the smaller square-edged one) that I only retired because Apple no longer supports it and so much software doesn't update any more. BTW, reportedly, MagSafe works fine with this phone. It just won't stick to the charger, as the 13 will.
Tired of contracts and paying a arm and a leg for AT&T and leasing a phone. Been considering switching to cricket and just getting iPhone SE 2022. Idc bout the cameras or the size. Do miss the thumb print. So watching this review has convinced me
SE stands for special edition and that kind of unit was done everything you need and i can't wait for upgrading my SE 2020 into 2022.... hopefully if God's will "
I will be honest. I thought the SE 2022 would use the form factor of the iPhone XR. However, using the vintage design of the iPhones 6, 7 and 8 is beneficial for users upgrading from those said models because their muscle memory is used to that form factor after several years with it. Also, those users are saving money on buying new accessories like a case for example since the physical dimensions on the new SE are exactly the same as the older models 6, 7, and 8.
This week I bought a customer return almost new iPhone SE 2020 for £229. It does a similarly good job as the iPhone SE 2022. I do not need 5G because it is unavailable in most of the places that I visit.
@@stopwars8642 I gave a friend my iPhone SE 2016 and he set it up without touch ID and so I guess that you can do the same with an iPhone SE 2020; I bought mine from the Tesco Outlet on eBay. There seem to be a lot on sale from a number of eBay suppliers for as little as £115. I suggest you get one a grade A iPhone SE 2020 for about £180. My battery health was still 100% when I bought it which suggests that it really was an unused customer return phone. In 6 months the battery health has fallen to 97%.
I have the 14 Pro and I hate Face ID. I really really miss Touch ID. I was gonna go with the SE 3 at first but chose to go for the 14 Pro because I was upgrading from the 6S and I won’t be upgrading for many years to come. I figured I might as well go with the top tier phone of today for that reason.
I just watched this video because I just purchased the iPhone se 2020. And I think all the down-playing that tech reviewers spew out when a product isn't something "they" would use, is total BS. None of you guys understand that there's a huge market for this style of iPhone. Also, Apple not putting the charger in the box has nothing to do with "protecting" the environment because you have to end up ordering a charger, which comes in a larger box, wrapped in tons of shipping paper, not really helping out the environment at all. Its because Apple wanted to make more money with less product, therefore, depriving the customer of accessories , but charging outrageously high prices. Its a total scam.
Many people just want an affordable phone that works and some prefer touch ID and the home button too. I hear eventually, the SE will end up in the iPhone 10 body

Nothing wrong with the design of this phone. And I don't even own one, galaxy user here. My son has it, and he loves it. From a Samsung user, I love the old design. I’ve downgraded mentally in terms of actually using a phone. I’ve become very plain and simple user and the SE 2022 is perfect. I just wish I had gotten more storage but other than that, I have no complaints.
The extra screen that wraps around the corner and forms a hook is useless. The SE '22 has the right aspect ratio for viewing photos and documents / reading web text.
i'm currently having an iphone 2020SE. the one thing i complain about (aside from battery life of course) is that it always take some time to load & display pdf saved on my Files folder. would you like to test it on this new SE? try saving multi-paged pdf on your files, & try opening it if it still has a log. thanks!
4:00 I don’t know that this is 100% true. In high school I used an iPad Mini 2 in place of a phone because, well, it’s way cheaper and didn’t require monthly payments for a cellular plan like a phone - it’s what I could afford. When I switched to an iPhone XR in my senior year, yeah, I mostly got used to the smaller screen pretty quickly, it certainly had some advantages like being totally usable in one hand and fitting more securely in my pockets - but over four years later, I *never* have gotten fully used to typing on the smaller keyboard. I’m a little slower, and have way more typos, than I ever had on my iPad Mini. Hoping the 15 Pro Max will help with that though, meet in the middle between my current phone’s screen and my old iPad Mini.

How does the SE3 compare to the 6S? Mom’s been using that iPhone for several years now. I just bought her a new SE3 64gb. I haven’t given it to her yet but I think she’ll learn to use it easier than anything else new.

It’s like modern G Series BMW tech in the iconic E46 chassis.
Thanks, helpful - just signed for My SE 2022 today. Unopened yet. 02/12/24 🥰
Had a se2 changed to the se3 now and yes you can tell the difference even if they look the same se3 is a pocket beast
Most realistic review of this product that ive seen yet
Personally I think the smaller size and home button is more practical and looks better. The large phones are like tablets and although people are used to all the new features a small percentage of people actually use them they just want them because they’re available.
The iPhone SE 3rd generation is the best iPhone out here and I have had the 2020 Se and now I have the iPhone SE 2022 and I'm loving it
I had the first SE, and I really hated it, and IOS too. Switched to droid, but after 2,5 years I have SE 3. Why? It has a perfect size, perfect performance, perfect camera (it's not important to me) and the IOS has great features now. My best phone ever.
I like the quality the camera
@@andyH_England Chill out preach, climate change is real and a problem, BUT the billionaires of the world just so happen to want total control and a population who will move at the whim of what they claim is needed sacrifices for the world while they use their private jets. So true. Eco friendly my as*. More like Apple bottom line friendly.
Well, time is hard. Got to make some money somewhere from suckers like us.
@@tanty2475 I found a used iphone 13 mini for 400 usd! Thank God
Downgraded from XR to Iphone SE??Are you serious? It aint the downgraded, its an Upgrading..To compare XR and SE 3rd Gen..Hella lots of different😅
How’s the battrey backup u get from se ?
U feel any big difference from xr in se ?
I love mine. I didn’t want facial recognition so I was ‘woohoo’ excited 😊
I had no idea about the SE 2022. I just bought my iphone 13 and I’m head over heels with it 😝. Can’t see myself using home button again ✌🏾
9:03 " A weapon of mass creation" WHAT a choice of WORDS! LOL
Getting the SE 3 was the best phone purchase I’ve made in a while. Entering the ecosystem with the cheapest device pushed me to getting an iPhone 14. Can’t beat the 500 off trade in offer T-Mobile offered me.
Thanks for the honest review, just got the SE 2022 for work. Nice to know it’s an upgrade from my SE gen 1. A sub from me.
I had the SE2 and I like it a lot
You should do a one-year later on this. I just upgraded to SE3 from 8. Love it. Tried and true design with a lot under the hood.
I’m thinking of upgrading my iPhone 8 to SE3. Is the battery life much better? Because iPhone 8 drains fast and gets hot.
@@liamjameslovell7294 I would. It's the same phone with better specs. Battery life has been great and the phone is super fast with tasks.
Believe it or not, this is a great phone for blind people, that’s right, I am completely blind, and I love this phone. I don’t care about the screen size, or really for the camera that much, but for everything else, this phone rocks. Sending many blessings and best wishes, from the blind guy. Peace.
Thanks for posting this. I'm getting the iPhone SE 64gb for free with my new internet plan and I just wanted to see what I'm getting my self into (first iPhone by the way) and so far I'm impressed so much so I already ordered a case. so again thanks for the post.
what internet plan is that? carrier
Using the iphone se as my main phone broke. Love the one hand usability :)
I had the se 20 then bought a se 22 5g it’s a pocket powerhouse I’ve had all types of android phones but keep going back to my se I’ve now just got a 13 pro as 14 pros are impossible to get hold of but my se will stay with me
The SE 2022 HAS wireless charging build in. CAN charge Without connecting anything at all. Apple just didn't tell anyone. 100% Certain.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Facts even Apple’s website says it supports wireless changing
As for battery life just use a battery case it’s makes it a bit thicker but triples time between charges
I love se 2022 design it's classic yet stunning 😍
wow i love your upbeat positive review unlike other reviewers who look like they want to off themselves
I bought the 2020 and 2022 on launch love my se over my 14
I just got this SE, after years with the "first" SE (the smaller square-edged one) that I only retired because Apple no longer supports it and so much software doesn't update any more. BTW, reportedly, MagSafe works fine with this phone. It just won't stick to the charger, as the 13 will.
I love my 'Midnight' colored iPhone SE 2022 (3rd gen). Not a single complaint here!
The screen is too small. Our types of usage has changed since 2015 when this form factor was introduced. We need an SE Plus.
Tired of contracts and paying a arm and a leg for AT&T and leasing a phone.
Been considering switching to cricket and just getting iPhone SE 2022.
Idc bout the cameras or the size. Do miss the thumb print.
So watching this review has convinced me
Have the 2020. I use it for work and personal use. Only down side is the battery for me. Other than that it does everything I need with ease.
SE stands for special edition and that kind of unit was done everything you need and i can't wait for upgrading my SE 2020 into 2022.... hopefully if God's will "
Another fun tidbit, the iphone 7/8 cases fit. Also, it does have wireless charging, just not magsafe.
Only real let downs are the battery and the screen. But I can live with them. Love mine
It’s not that it’s small it’s just easier to use in one hand less likely to drop 👍
This week I bought a customer return almost new iPhone SE 2020 for £229. It does a similarly good job as the iPhone SE 2022. I do not need 5G because it is unavailable in most of the places that I visit.
does the 2020 have no fingerprint to get on?where you buy yours?
@@stopwars8642 I gave a friend my iPhone SE 2016 and he set it up without touch ID and so I guess that you can do the same with an iPhone SE 2020; I bought mine from the Tesco Outlet on eBay.
There seem to be a lot on sale from a number of eBay suppliers for as little as £115. I suggest you get one a grade A iPhone SE 2020 for about £180.
My battery health was still 100% when I bought it which suggests that it really was an unused customer return phone. In 6 months the battery health has fallen to 97%.
@@paulharrison8379the know how is the question to fix to not touch ID lol
I love my se2 2022 best iPhone ever
Love the home button 😁👍🏻
Hey I’m happy with this being the same size as my 6S I’m upgrading from!
sad
@@jakeewert5844 why?
Technically this design is from 2020 because the iPhone 8 had the Apple logo a little wasn't in the center of the device.
i like how u say it, people will like this just not tech reviewers
Thanks for the review! I’m getting this phone.
I’d argue the designs been around since 2014 with the iPhone 6, with subtle changes over the years.
Many people just want an affordable phone that works and some prefer touch ID and the home button too. I hear eventually, the SE will end up in the iPhone 10 body
@@WhittyPics Yep, hot this a week ago and could not be happier, been using iPhone 7 for past 5 years and even that still got things done. I became an iPhone user since iPhone 6 and its this design that keeps me comming back. Home button is awesome.
I just love it I just don’t know why from my iPhone 12 pro, it’s practical as a phone as at home I use iPad pro 11 inch for media , browsing etc. the SE22 size easy to carry around and for email ,messages, calls purpose it’s not heavy In my pocket, downside the small battery, slippery without a case, mine red, Products
Nothing wrong with the design of this phone. And I don't even own one, galaxy user here. My son has it, and he loves it. From a Samsung user, I love the old design. It's like a 1965 Ford mustang with today's tech under the hood. ok, maybe not all the new stuff, but it stands, it's ground next to the newest, model hands down.
I got the starlight 128gb, before I had a 7 plus rose gold, but the size difference is insane! Even with a otterbox
Ordered that phone yesterday it will come tomorrow i hope
Same. I ordered one yesterday ☺️ My first ever iPhone 😃 Got the red
A weapon of mass creation! Love your content dude! You are truly one of the dopest...
I’ve downgraded mentally in terms of actually using a phone. I’ve become very plain and simple user and the SE 2022 is perfect. I just wish I had gotten more storage but other than that, I have no complaints.
this was my first phone same color too
The extra screen that wraps around the corner and forms a hook is useless.
I have the iPhone 12 and I don’t even really need all its features, I don’t even have social media lol. That being said, I’m thinking about getting an iPhone SE.
I hope apple keeps making se phones alongside the regular/pro/max series
Got this for the wife and it's fast and is a good phone wish they made more like this but like the iohine mini buy call it the se
i am thinking of buying this phone as my first apple for around 530euros when it becomes available in my country is it worth it or should i look for something else
Thanks bro you convinced me to buy it
How does the SE3 compare to the 6S? Mom’s been using that iPhone for several years now. I just bought her a new SE3 64gb. I haven’t given it to her yet but I think she’ll learn to use it easier than anything else new.
Hi. Great video review for the new iPhone SE. Is it true that it doesn’t come with spatial audio? Just stereo playback?
@@nooneinpart awesome so I can pair it with AirPods 3 and take advantage of spatial audio then? The reason I ask is because according to apple website, the specs for iPhone se states that audio playback is stereo and Dolby digital and lossless but not spatial. I want to get AirPods 3 and iPhone se and I just want to be sure. Thanks.
Fantastic!! Crossing my fingers!!
I just call it retro... I was able to pick one up this week after my 11 pro kicked the can. I waiting to get a 15 pro, so I got the SE 3 as a burner phone and to be honest with you I'm really impressed with it. I was able to get it on sale for $150, I honestly thought they rung up the phone wrong, but they did not... So overall, I definitely can't complain at all especially since its my burner phone
I don't understand why the opinion of people who would never buy it in the first place matters.
It's like asking a vegan what they think about Texas bbq.
I use iPhone SE 2020 😁
Excellent coverage. Thanks for the useful info! :-)
Yes I love it this will probably be my next phone
I have the iPhone 11 should I get this iPhone or save up to get something else? I want something good with camera n battery life
I’m thinking about getting one as a back up phone seems good enough for my needs something compact powerful decent camera and ok battery but in red
i love the se lineup :D
I love touch ID.
I have an iphoneSE 2020 that needs to be upgraded to an SE2022!!! Budget friendly!!! Any videos on transferring data to the newer SE???
149.00 GP APPLE IPHONE SE 3RD GEN 64GB get it I love it
I am looking to get my first iPhone cost being considered which is best that XR or the SE. with some tech
skill.
I was wondering if you ever did a review of this? I am having trouble finding it if so.
I have had an SE First Gen for 6 years. I love the size; the way it fits in my hand, my pockets, now I am looking forward to receiving my SE which is on back order because it is so popular.
Question: can you use the old USB A charging with this phone? What about using the adapters available/. Thank you.
It takes lighting
That’s all cool, better buy the 2020 model, keep some money in your pocket.
