Moxed congratulations! Im not the maker of the video (obviously) but leaks happen for several reasons. Microfiber tends to cause "compression leaks" and in general hold very little, improper fit can cause leaks. Not enough absorbency can cause leaks. Diapers that have delaminated will leak (the inside PUL or TPU has detached). Watch lots of videos and ask lots of questions, there is a lot of information out there available and then when baby is here you'll be able to figure out what works for you!

It's looks perfect.. but all i get concerned about is the tightness around the belly when baby sits somewhere. That makes me feel very uncomfortable. And i thing the baby may also feel discomfort. But if i tie it loose... then there will be leakage... so yeah... I'm a bit confused.

Like I hate when I take my baby to the doctor & they ask "how many diapers does he go through? Soiled & wet" Heck, I have no idea! It's a lot, I know that much!
Yes cloth nappies are washable. You can use one nappy until it is soiled (pee or poo) then it should be rinsed and but in the laundry basket to be washed on hot. You can reuse washed and clean nappies for more than one baby as long as they don't leak or are still working (not broken from a rip for example).

This is actually not correct, I spoke to nappy specialists and they both said you put it on as you would a disposable, not Squash it between the crutch like that, actually makes it very uncomfortable for them, I tried this way and made red marks worse, and had more leaks. If you look at the way reusable Nappies are make they are all different, Old style terrycloth come down the legs slightly and look like shorts, Grovia diapers are high rise cut so automatically fall into the Nicker line area Flip diapers do not and are the opposite shape (I use them they are amazing) They fit in the shape of like shorts do, so if they have chubby legs it brilliant. When ever looking at diapers before you buy look at the shape cover first, I think flip has been cut in a brilliant shape and do not get red marks like before with the other cheapo ones I got of eBay oops!
latifah-ikhlas Red marks would definitely be a sign of a fit problem no matter the cut of your diaper! It is too tight if it is leaving uncomfortable red marks or a wash routine problem. The purpose of this video is that many times if a mom has to double up on inserts there ends up being quite a bit of bulk almost like a "saddle." Do what works best for you and your baby!
Won't such a tight fit hurt baby's tummy wen he sits up? My baby has less waist area and wen ever I make her wear CDs and make her sit up she makes noises of discomfort.. That's so heartening since I wish to exclusively cloth diaper my baby.
i do all the bits you have shown , putting it low ect. but when i go to pull the flaps up they dont stretch atall like you have shown :[ what am i doing wrong
kirsty whale its more about pulling up then stretching out. They look like they are stretching cause of the angle. Pull up toward the chest and then over to snap fitting it around the hip.
Hiya! Just a quick Q! When you snapped them uneven (not centered), I know that was for fit purposes, but does that make one side more prone to leaks because of the unevenness? My little girl is 3 weeks old and my rumparoos covers are too tight on the middle-most snaps but too loose when I move them out a set on each side. She's got such scrawny chicken legs it's harder to fit anyway :P
Everyone saying it's too tight on the baby obviously isn't realizing that he's wearing underwear to protect him. I'm 100 percent positive she took it off after the video and removed the underwear.
