Land Rover 90 was a great vehicle. Please don’t try adding a turbo to a NA as it won’t work well. It’s an ideal vehicle for a straight 200tdi swap in the future. Enjoy learning your way round the car
Reminds me of my start out in Land Rovers back in 2002. Bought a ex R.Marines 1991 90 FFR Hard Top as everyday driver, converted it to a (Defender type 200Tdi engine as they were plentiful at the time) a year later as the old N\A 2.5D threw its cambelt. 20+ years later I still have it and, still love driving it, although its now less of a daily and off road toy and more of a Classic & Military Show Vehicle Have another Defender a Snatch an armoured 110 300tdi. Ones never enough!

I’ve had a 2.5na before 1990 Defender ex mod. The engine is slow but never fails and goes for years, it sounds pretty good I think too. If you want cheap parts use dls parts in derby. They do a full service kit for 12 pounds and they have various other gaskets for the na. Word of advice use 15w30 mineral oil otherwise it will leak oil if you use anything thinner.. Goodluck with it!!👍🏽

That’s amazing! How many miles have you put on it over the 20 years?
@@archieandbensadventures Speedos in Kms so about 120.000kms total, its done only a around 1000kms a year the last 7/8 years.
